    Just want to say thank you for your build videos, especially this one since I’m presently working on this particular project. Much appreciated sir. Would love to talk to you directly about my build and your thoughts since you’ve done all the trial work. Again, thank you!

    Thanks for the comprehensive review! We made some improvements from all your feedback. The gauge is 150PSI max, and the adapter is US standard 1/4 fitting. Thanks again!

      Damn 😬 I’m sorry about that! It’s been great for us but it depends from compressor to compressor I guess

      Same here. They overheat if you have to put in a real off-roading amount air. Most people air down 10 psi so it doesn’t require much. Super fast when it works. I just got the Sherpa big air. It is actually faster and has 100% duty cycle. Uses a winch motor to drive it. 700$. It does my 38x12.5 x 4 at once from 5 psi to 38pdi in 6 minutes. Very hot but it doesn’t fail like these.

      @@jhartmac100 why would it be so unbelievable to your mind the compressor has issues? Stupid.

    Luxkily the Smittybilt compressor I have is still working great although it would be nice to have a hard fitting in place of the hose since it does get really hot at that end. The multi tire inflate/deflate systems are a time saver for sure. I like using mine for both air up and down. It's a nice to have type of thing but it's one more bag taking up space when I already fight to organize everything.

      I definitely want to pick up a tire air down/up system in the future. I think I would have to make a hook in the bed toolbox to hold those hoses to make it easier. Ive had the larger Smittybilt compressor for the jeep for about 7yrs now and I haven’t had any issues with it.

    Good test, but why didn't you just check the calibration of the built-in gauge before doing the test? Then you wouldn't have to stop the test and use your stand-alone gauge.

      Thanks for watching! When I was testing the compressor I seen the gauge was off by 5-10psi and was not accurate whatsoever. It seems like it’s very common for the built in gauges to suck on these compressors. But otherwise the compressor has been great

    Mine consistently fills fast and overheats 1/3 the way through, leaving to use my backup tiny compressor taking another damn hour.
    Even attaching cooling fans for a freaking radiator.

    Has anyone mounted this into a TOyota 5th Gen 4Runner? We have one, but looking for a way to mount.

    • @2AOverland
      @2AOverland  Год назад +2

      I think your best bet would to bolt through the base to mount it. Cut the clamps off the power cord and bolt them directly to your battery. But use a secondary switch and a fuse so you don’t burn anything up
