Nobody will be a better Robocop than Peter Weller. Not just for the subtle acting he did, but he had been a bit of a dancer and trained with a mime to get the movement down. He owned that part.
I think the only one of the Viva Rock Vegas recasts they seriously missed the mark on was replacing Rick Moranis with Stephen Baldwin. The rest all did a perfectly decent job with the thankless material they had, and it's not Mark Addy's fault that John Goodman was about as perfectly suited to the role of a live-action Fred as you can ask for.
From what I remember in a Bond interview about the movies, George Lazenby’s one and done was also due to poor advice from his manager says that the spy movies were on their way out and the hippie movie’s were the next big thing. Also, me and a few other people think George Clooney made a better Bruce Wayne than Batman.
8:39 - messes up Terminator Genisys name to be funny
7:00 - messes up Aaliyah name cause of poor research on how to pronounce it
All of these "Movie Recast" top 10 videos always bring up Maria Bello in The Mummy.
Well, that's what happens when you replace Rachel Weisz. In her defense, if anyone else had been cast, they probably would have been just as unfit for the role.
I remember watching Hannibal and forgetting that Julianne Moore was also Clarice 😂. Also, Maria Bello should have been a different character in Mummy 3 rather than being a recast of Evie.
@7:02 her name is pronounced "Ah-lee-yuh" not "uh-lie-yer" 😂!
T3 isn't that bad lol. I still remember seeing it open day in the theater and I always thought it was fun.
I liked how he pronounced Aaliyah's name.
For Queen of the Damned, when I saw it, I never made the connection that was supposed to be the same character from Interview. The story made no sense for it to have been the same one. Cruise's version I think was still healing from being burned and seemed less likely to embrace a modern rock star taste of music.
He canonically does this in the series. Queen of the Damned is actually a (rather loose) adaptation of the second and third books of Anne Rice's series, and after the events of Interview with the Vampire, Lestat does indeed awaken and decide to start up a rock band.
Sorry, I completely disagree with you. Edwerd is a much better actor. He showed so much more emotion and range in his hulk movie.
Agreed
Mark Ruffalo is also a great actor... He just shows his range in other movies/series.
He was a god awful Banner. Glad he got recast
I'm with you
The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas is a whole lot more also a movie which stands entirely on its own.
Those who paid attention while watching the first one, know that Fred clearly states in it how he and Wilma met, which was at an all you can eat contest.
Now where is that all you can eat contest in the second movie, its just not in there, so there you can only set that movie to have nothing to do with the first one due to historical inaccuracies.
Mads Mikkelsen, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Among other things given that there was Zero evidence that Johnny Depp had been the abuser in his relationship with Amber Heard, there was also the fact that there was evidence that Johnny was being abused. I won’t make a claim that to have seen the movie, but Rowling initially did right by Depp in allowing him to portray Grindelwald in the crimes of Grindelwald.
Jane Krakowski was THE perfect Betty Rubble.
I am willing to die on this hill.
It's KRASINSKI not KRINZINSKI.
It's pronounce A-LEE-AH not A-LIE-AH.
They mispronounce a LOT of names on this channel
A LOT
To the point I think they do it on purpose
@@ZedrikVonKatmahl I know
I'm sorry, who played in queen of the damned? I have no clue who that actress that he named was. I thought Aaliyah was in this movie.
Nah, i think i speak for alot of people when I say edward norton hulk/banner is far more superior than mark’s version. Do ppl still even take ruffalo’s hulk serious?
I didn't like Edward Norton at all.
I hated both Hulk movies.
I thought Ruffalo was far better, even if I don't like his political stance.
Norton portrays wormy, untrustworthy people well. He doesn't portray scientific or intellectual people very well at all.
He certainly looks more like Bruce than Mark Ruffalo does.
@@jonjonr6 Scientific, intellectual people are never wormy or untrustworthy.
In terms of bad castings, even when compared to the original, Moore is not comparable to many of the howlers on this list. Or Hannibal. The acting is strong from everyone in that one, but Hopkin's screen presence is so enormous that he makes up for the shortcomings of the film compared to the first and third one.
Aaliyah deserves her name to have the correct pronunciation. Maybe get a black consultant for these vids
George Lazenby was in an impossible situation. If he'd been the first James Bond - assuming that a Lazenby-led Dr. No would have done well enough to warrant a sequel - he might be remembered as the definitive Bond. From Russia With Love was such a good script that it would have made any decent Bond actor a star. Also, Lazenby was a student of Bruce Lee and absolutely gave off the vibes of someone that could win a fight against three henchmen at one.
Good to hear "GENISYS" still being pronounced properly 👍🏻
At the risk of getting booed off of the Comments Board, I'd like to write one nice thing about GyNiceIce; Jason Clarke is, to date, the only adult John Connor that I could visualize confronting terminators head on and leading the resistance that would save the human race. Nick Stahl did nothing but take up space and Christain Bale's non-stop brooding reminded me of a nameless rhythm guitarist from a short-lived, one-hit-wonder 90's college band.
Since you can't pronounce Krasinski or Aaliyah , I'm not sure you can pronounce Genesis.
I was upset when rachel was recast on the mummy. Maria Bello was not good fit
I'm sorry, but... "chewing the scenery instead of his co-stars" LOL
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.... my god.... a real shitstorm
Elizabeth Perkins makes a MUCH better Wilma. Kristen Johnston is like 13 inches taller and doesn't fit the character at all. Jane Krakowski is a superior Betty. Goodman is obviously the best Fred so we don't even need to discuss that. DeVito was the original choice for Barney but he turned it down and recommended Rick Moranis.
Robert John Burke has been great in about a hundred roles, he just wasn't good for Robocop. Same deal with Tommy Lee Jones.
Oh, and allegedly Billy Dee Williams had a contract saying he would be Two-Face, so he had to be bought out and actually made decent money from it.
Emilia Clarke was the worst choice for Sarah Conner. She was shoved in because she was popular at the time, no other reason. And it made me not like her in Solo.
George Clooney has been cited as the perfect example of an actor being good for one facet in a two-facet character. Some people have even suggested Batman be played by one actor and Bruce by another, to highlight the real differences in their character.
I'm sorry, but I loved Batman Forever's Two-Face. And Riddler. The whole movie, in fact. Batman Forever was fun and funny, camp with a side of seriousness. Now, Batman & Robin on the other hand.l. Some things were fine... But they ruined Bane. And I'll never forgive them for altering Batgirl's backstory. Alfred's niece? Are you effing kidding me!?
T Howard doesn't have the self-reflection necessary to kick himself.
I'm a big fan of The Mummy and I have the trilogy, but I always skip the third because I can't stand that they replaced Rachel... :(
While Clooney was terrible, he doesn't belong on this list because he replaced Val Kilmer rather than Michael Keaton and Kilmer didn't exactly shine in the Batman role either.
Also, my ears hurt from the way the AI pronounces Genisys.
Harrison Ford is the BEST ever Jack Ryan, but Ben Affleck and Chris Pine did well. The movies were good, but yes, inferior to the 90s Harrison Ford films!
You forgot Alec Baldwin.
JAI- NYE- SISE😅
Leave George Lazenby alone. He maybe the most human 007 ever! I actually felt sad that his wife was murdered.
I loathe Batman and Robin more than I can even express. It actually angers me. But, oddly, I never placed any of the blame on George Clooney. He was stuck in an unsalvageable mess of a movie. In a better made Batman movie he could have made for a decent Batman.
Batman and Robin was camp. It wasn't supposed to be gritty or deep it was supposed to be a silly, over the top movie about a man dressed like a bat, beating people up. I'm so sick of the B&R hate from people who just don't get camp.
exactly. it was aiming for the 60's tv show style. and i loved it for that
George Clooney is not a good actor and not a good draw for any blockbuster, unless Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are there to rescue the movie
Tommy Lee Jones was great as 2 Face.
Mark Addy is no "B list actor!" He later went on to play King Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones!
At the time, he was a B-lister
There’s plenty of B-listers who’ve been on GoT and still continue to be B-listers
2 things can be true. Most of his filmography screams B-List, but he's got a handful of performances that are phenomenal.
This stupid, I’m abut to unsubscribe.
Thank you for mentioning Stuart Townsend - he really was shit. That movie is a stain on the Vampire Chronicles franchise, bigger than Brad Pitt's performance as Louis in the 1994 Interview with the Vampire movie. Thank god we have the TV show adaptation of Interview with the Vampire, where Sam Reid is the BEST Lestat, Jacob Anderson is the BEST Louis and the other main characters are also impeccably cast!
FFS CAN ANYONE ON WHATCULTURE COME BACK FROM VACATION SO ITS NOT ALL JULES ALL DAY EVERY DAY?!!??!?!?!!?
Overlook Saavik much?
No, Ruffalo can team play more. Not better than. Difference.
3 in a row.
Rise is rad.
Sorry, but Lazenby did a great job as Bond.
Katie Holmes may not have been the right choice for Rachel in Batman Begins but Maggie Gyllenhaal taking over the role in The Dark Knight was an awful choice.
Hannibal 350M...sorry that's a hit
Lol Jai nice ice
I’m pretty sure Terrence Howard QUIT. He was not fired.
No, they didn't meet his salary demands for the next movie.
🎥🍿🎬🎞🧙♂
Don Cheadle is a major downgrade.
Liar mark rufflo is horrible
He's not good as Hulk but he is good in all his other projects.
You forgot Haden Christensen in Star Wars Episode II and III
Jake Lloyd was bad but Christensen was much worse with his dialogue and constant whining.
But wouldn't that be more because of writing and direction? Lloyd seemed like a good little actor but his lines were also quite whiny.
Really? You think a character whining is the actor's choice? How about aim your anger at the source material aka writing and directing?
@@cool_alienempire6884Of course it was all in the writing.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 He never did anything else afterwards except Jumper. Elijah Wood he ain't.
@@unholyperiodza5442he didn't do anything afterward because he was crucified by the toxic fanbase that is Star Wars.
