how do you know if you're choice is correct? is there some way to know? like, maybe the music after your choice?

The music will do the short piano line following into the pleasant sounding chord. It's at 1:49 if you need to hear it. If your choice is wrong, you will not hear that short riff, you will hear no chord, just a short line of unpleasant notes.
