- Hi people,
i'm sure a lot of you are close to BiS by now, or atleast pre-raid BiS. And that also means there isn't really much left to do in TBC, besides just raid logging. And well, if that is all there is to do, you might as well level an alt so you can raid twice a week and get twice the amount of loot! Or at least thats why I did, and that's why I think is a good "solution". Hope you enjoy the video :))

Idk about you but I do both. I got 3 chars at 70 for splits and I've one lvl 38 that I just play for fun when I'm done with what I need to get done each day/week as I'm in a hc guild. I wouldn't say rushing is bad but it's just that some ppl just don't like lvling. But some, like me, enjoy lvling it but that doesn't meant I can't do that on another char (It's not like real life, you can start over again at lvl 1). I can see where you're coming from but it's not right to just judge ppl wanting to do the content they like doing be it taking it slow or rush all the way to raidlogging. No judge, it's a game lets all enjoy it our own way :D.
@@evenjesuscantsaveyouanymor6163 I remember dungeon grinding the night of release and staying up like 18 hours with friends and hanging out. People can play however they want, but you'd be lying if you told me that it's not annoying when people bring negativity to communities and bitch and moan. I've seen multiple people just today say that TBC is dead or that there's no content. It just brings in negative thoughts and spurs hostility when half the community rushes the whole game and then whines about it. To me, its childish. To each their own, but I'll always call a spade a spade.

Rushing isn’t bad and of course people are allowed to enjoy playing the game like that. I think most people are just reacting against the people rushing the content then going on the forums calling the game dead because they put so many hours in it dried up all content for them.
The only people who are running out of content in tbc are no lifers. People with jobs, families, a house and other hobbies, aren't even 70 yet.

Sure that's correct for some people, however in my guild a lot of people used holiday time to rush through content so they more or less can raid log, so they can attend to family work etc.
I'm going to have 9 alts level 70 and none of you are going to stop me.
I'll see you there.... working on 10 characters as a team and changing Mains as needed (depending on what the guild needs and what support skills/crafting is needed). I did the same in Classic, 4 of the 10 are in Outland, the rest are working their way along to get there but providing support... even if that support is channeling gold to the upper bunch so they can afford their flying mounts (still NOT CHEAP).
why not get a second job so you can afford a few more subscriptions and make more alts!
When WotLK-C comes out what will you have to show for your time playing TBC-C? How will your life have improved?
Make sure this game is done in your leisure time and not your life experience time. I wish I could have the time I spent in TBCog back to spend it with people that are no longer around.
Wow dude that's fast. Im still trying to get some reps to revered and get more pre raid bis. A large part comes from LW which i still need to level up from 365.
Those last 20 points are a rough grind if you want to gather it all yourself.

thats more just wildly slow on your part, getting revered with any rep takes like 2 hours of questing
One week later, i got all reps revered or exalted. LW maxed and 1 of 3 set crafted. Almost full (pre)bis. Its like a snowball effect 😂
I'd have a lot more to do if we had duel spec so I could tank or heal random instance for fun but as that isn't thing I'm not spending 100g a few times a day just to have something to do.
I really hope they slide in dualspec sometime in the next few phases

I like the idea of finishing the game and then being able to play other games and not feel like you are falling behind in wow because you didn't dedicate every second of your life to it. Then when a patch comes back everyone floods back to the game and then once they finish the content try other games and things so they don't get burned out.
what is your point? you dislike that quitting your job to play more wow is not a significant ingame advantage anymore? wtf.. just play aion or whatever.
Nothing to do? Don't play 8 hours a day and then complain about lack of content! I have a single 68 spriest with appropriately leveled professions and secondary professions, a comfortable amount of money, and I know much more about the lore compared to a decade ago because I'm actually reading. Play the game. Don't treat it like a chore or a job.
I think in my opinion, I find happiness in this feeling. There is an end to character progression for the phase at least. I both love and despise retail’s collection of gear. In a way the new raids/new patch on retail wow giving higher item level gear is similar to the phase 2 having new BIS items for classes in TBC.
I do really like that I don't have to spend 10 hours a day doing my chores in wow. I did it before when it was current. I'm not looking to take on wow as a second job again. Plus, with games like New World right around the corner, I do enjoy that I can do my raid logs, play with my guild, and stay ahead of the curve in content without needing to spend 40 hours per week on it. I can hop in on the weekends, get my raid lockouts done, and hop onto something else.
There's nothing wrong with taking breaks from the game.
If you burn out your dopamine receptors on the game you'll eventually just quit

why did it die in wrath? thought you couldn't turn off your exp until cata
It was during Wrath that exp was added to battlegrounds. Not sure which patch had it but it was before 3.3.5

I definitely tried Classic at the perfect time. Being able to raid log 1-2 nights a week and spend the rest of the time in retail is perfect. Loving TBC classic for this!
Yep, TBC gives me time for retail. Im still collecting pre-raid BIS, and raiding at same time. Easy.

white bandit mask is specifically made to be cloth so every character can wear it... its a tmog item
This is such a strange thing to hear for me. I played Classic on launch having never tried WoW before, loved it but only made it to level 28 before my friends quit and I was left with spamming chat for groups so I quit, not wanting to wait 45 min just to do 1 dung. I came back when TBC came out because my friend liked TBC more and the experience is insanely more fun. I've played everyday for hours since it released and the last 2 months I went from 1- 70 in about 13 days of in-game time while getting both Professions to 375 in the process so it definitely could have been much faster if not for that and waiting on my friend so I don't get too far ahead of him.
This is all to say, I still have SO much more to get done even just for my pre-raid BiS. I'm a fire mage and because Spellcloth is time-gated, unless I plan on spending 60g per cloth it's gonna take at least a month or more just to make them, not including the dozens of Primal Fire I need which is over farmed, only dropped in 1 place realistically with only 4-5 mobs there, and the fact that I'm trying to farm fire elementals as a fire mage, or again, buying them at 22g each. And this is only for 4 or 5 pre-raid Bis and this is already 1-2 months of just farming. It's blows my mind how people can run out of things to do so quickly in this game. I understand it's my first time playing WoW, but I'm almost 2 months in and am only about to hit 70 where the real gear grind starts. This seems like a problem either boosters or hardcore no-lifers have. I could never get behind making an ALT simply due to the time investment needed to even get them to where they need to be
You nerds are hilarious... I'm still lvl 67 (almost 68) and enjoying the content. I have lots of things that I want to do! You need to realize it's the journey what's the reward not BiS!!!
This is very rushed and elitistic way of playing the game. Maybe you got too much free time? Me and my mates have a few evenings when we go all in wpvp. You players who wants to maximize everything gets superfrustrated, escpecially when there is no RUclips guide how to hide from us

Alts are the best part of tbc. Most professiosn are really easy to make passive gold on. Alchemy, tailoring, jc all have cds for good passive gold. The more I can just log in to collect about 75g a day the happier I am because I can avoid doing those stupid grinds of hour+ farming 1 location to make 200g. The fact this gets better with the more time they are at appropriate level makes the investment worth doing before grinding heroics and pre raid bis.
Not to mention compared to modern wow alts all feel different. A warrior tank I'd vastly different then a pali tank and a mage and warlock although both caster dps feel unique and fun.

this way i can play and enjoy 3 different classes while getting a taste of each party role in the class/spec combos i enjoy the most.
I think it was a mistake to hold higher tier raids behind phases. BC had great progression because you can bash your head against bosses that are nearly impossible at your gear level, and get a piece or two even tho you can't complete the raid. The way phases will work, we will all have BiS going into each phase, and each raid tear will be easy as a result. We will all be fully prepared....
If they unlocked all the raids at once they'd all be cleared in a week or two and then we'd have the same problem. The problem is sweaty fucks who play this game like a job rushing the content for no reason.
Casual here. Work full time and still got my pre bis and just raid log now. The argument that only sweaty try hards raid log is not true.
Majority of players are more "casual" and even then its still ridiculously easy to get pre raid bis and phase one bis already. I hate this notion that only "no lifes" are 70 and raiding now. Like, what are you doing then lol??

Alts are very important in TBC, but on a side note PvP is way, way more engaging than in Classic. If people don't play all the aspects of the game or play alts as is intended, then ya they'll be bored. But that would be their choice to be in such a state.
I think you make a good point. I'm levelling an alt, though I don't know what I'm going to do with it. It was for me, a pain crafting the BIS outfit set, because of the timer on mats creation. Don't want to do that again
Yes rushing a game that has limited content usually doesn’t last long. Maybe Blizzard will release fresh classic servers that resets every 6 months for you guys in the future.
Just PvP and q arenas endless content. May be frustrating sometimes but it is rewarding on its own way and adds an extra dimension to the game.

Of you're getting burned out you need to just change the way you see life.
World PvP (assuming you play on a high population, balanced realm, OR are playing the non-dominant faction, AND you don't gank lowbies) is the true endgame. It's very dynamic and each world pvp fight is always a bit different than the last. 1v2 fights are very rewarding for example. You also make a name for yourself on your server and what not. It's a good way to extend the lifespan of the game's content.

There’s a serious shortage of tanks. I don’t even enjoy tanking yet thats what I play because it’s the only way im getting stuff done. I would love to do an alt but I won’t be able to get anything done without waiting an hour for a tank sadly.
Pretty much what I'm doing is leveling alts plus "pvp" is fun as hell
I took my time, hit 70, did the raids, not a fan of pvp so there's not much to do, but y'know, running out of things to do means I must've rushed the content.
I’m lvling a warrior in my spare time, i’ve just been raid logging on my hunter, gearing has been very slow because RNG inside of weekly lockouts, i honestly can’t wait to hit 70 and start gearing a new toon, i love the pre raid grind the most, i’m weird.
Going outside is also an option
As a paladin I've been pushing almost non stop to build my ssc resist, mana tombs resist, fire resist, and sets for all 3 specs. I'm only just starting to run out of these things to prepare. Next is pvp, your nuts if you say their is nothing to do or needs to be done
Started playing FFXIV on the side of wow TBC and thats even after leveling 3x level 70,s in TBC.
You should try going outside, its fun.
i often pass up gear to keep myself with goals of things to get. i guarentee illl be farming karazan for a lot more time. no need to rush my gearing process
... and this is precisely why I immensely enjoy TBC classic. That's the only redeeming feature of Blizzard in the last few years - releasing Classic.

I love Classic Vanilla, but it absolutely is a time sink in many ways and really doesn't respect your time. You pretty much have to play it exclusively to be raid ready on just 1 character. TBC has some painful time sinks too like rep grinding, attunements, and professional maxxing/bis crafting, but I honestly feel like a get more out of the game than I ever did with Classic Vanilla and I can play other games or do more stuff irl and not have FoMO. TBC is more efficient and expertly crafted to maximize player enjoyment without taking up all of our time. Same with WotLK, my personal favorite expansion.
The thing about WoW has always been, players don’t run out of content, they run out of content they want or need to do. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do, it just means you need to think about other areas in which you can invest your time. Alts are one of them, but the time investment can be daunting and off putting.
My advice would be to think ahead to wotlk. When achievements get introduced is that something you’re interesting in pursuing? Because right now, you can work on those achievements and they’ll be rewarded retrospectively, as they were when they were first added. Anyway, it’s an idea.
It’s unlikely that you’ve gotten a war talbuk from Nagrand. So maybe that’s worth looking into as well.
Lmao. Have a level 63 be paladin and I feel like I’ve been no lifing it since prepatch. But then I look and see how many 70 be’s fully geared and remember what it was like to be a kid.
I like to take my time levelling, spend time on an alt, do some crafting, trade on the AH. And then I see people rush to end game, start raiding non stop like a second job, for it all to be worthless in the next expansion anyway.

TBC feels dead because its world of hordecraft when only 1 faction dominates a 2 faction game it feels dead.

On whitemane, the single best gold farm are gdkps. Hence, I need 2-3 raid ready alts asap
phase 2 of tbc needs to come sooner than later. it at least gives people 3 more raids. right now there is literally just 1 real raid. gruul and mag doesn't even take an hour

I did 22 arca hc runs in a row (each day one) to get my bis 1 bracers pala tank bracers, I don't have them... You have no idea what you are talking about...
compared to retails drip feed of gated content and the massive amount of pointless filler content, I much prefer TBC's style of "here's a large amount of content, go at your own pace". The endless stream of chores in retail are, in large part, why I don't play retail anymore.

Tbc with all its attunements is not pretty alt-friendly i'd say on top of that youre turning the whole thing into an endless game by creating alt's. might just be me but i enjoy being done with something every now and then and may it be just for the actual phase - especially when it's summer outside.

if your doing pvp then there is always waiting in more 1hr Queues since noone that wasn't honor capped has all their off pieces much less the 5 piece honor gear
Sounds kinda like you just prefer classic style of things. That consumes list made me cringe, I'm nearly full BIS in TBC but I'm still having way more fun than vanilla. Sure it's a little less grindy, but I think most the community actually likes this style of play better. It's ok not to have much to do before raid. New raids and gear will always come in the future.
This is the kind of “content” that are putting bad taste in a casual players mouth and making them quit… you “big wow creators” should stop with the qq if you love the game. Many don’t play it the way you play it and just accept the fact if you want keep the game alive. You are try harding a game that is 15 years old… Just let that sink in
There are A LOT MORE crafted bis items. I'm wearing 5 crafted cloth pieces on my priest, compared to one, during classic.
Novel idea: Content is the goal gear facilitates content.
When you are having fun doing content it's not as important if you do it in blues or purples.
Pvpers are far more likely to just enjoy the pvp instead of being in it for gear so why can't pvers do the same?
Also set your own goals. I am a Tank and I like being self sufficient so I have the goal of having a stack of any primal stuff at all times. So if i have nothing to do i might just go kill elementals...

I understand what you mean, No lifed TBC for about a month.. Now I'm almost full BIS besides 1 25 man raid item.. Getting Kara items was a joke, My Kara raid DE's about 90% of the loot every week now after only 4 weeks of running it.
Must be nice, full cleared Kara 4 weeks in a row and I've only seen 1 bis hunter item drop so far. Meanwhile another hunter in my guild got 4 of the 6 needed items from kara in his first run 4 weeks ago. Gotta love that rng. Haven't seen a DST drop either from gruul.

@@Gipsydanger03 I feel you man, the first kara raid a hunter in my other group got Boots, Legs, Bow, not sure now but i’m assuming she is already bis now, meanwhile i’ve done 4 kara runs and i’ve gotten the belt off Chess, and the fist weapon from Theatre, which isn’t even my bis as Survival.

Wait, I don't get the video. Yea sure, loot is gained faster, but you had the same weekly lockout in classic Oo you were "Out of content" at the same rate, exactly after you finished your raid for that week. I don't get the difference here.

As someone who played TBC and raided end-game content. Outside raids, there was not much to do either. You just played alts.
Wow needs meaningful objectives outside of raiding and pvp.

Sweaty nerds in their 30s living off stimulus checks and food stamps who min maxed all the content to death in two weeks ruined this game even more than they ruined classic vanilla.

Honestly, its been what 4 weeks? uve done all the prequests, farmed heroic badges for all items up to phase6, cleared all 3 raids enough times to get all ur gear, and uve done arena for ur pvp set, mate honestly u would enjoy the game more if u chilled abit, try being the raidleader this time, try to make the game funnier by talking to people while ur in the instances...

When I played on endless I had 3 raid nights, 4 hours each, per week. Tbh it had buffed content, so maybe you would need less time when the content is easier, but if you play more than that, you need to get a life.
Stop sweating so hard and the game can still be fun.
