- Ranking Genshin Impact Characters on a tier list, the scale of destruction they'd cause if they became evil (inspired by Albedo becoming evil in an event shown for 2.3)
As stated in the video, this is a ranking based SOLELY on the scale of destruction each character could achieve by THEMSELVES. Their respective armies/soldiers will not be helping them.
I did do quite a lot of research for this one, and for some characters, I genuinely could not find anything to indicate whether or not they were capable of much destruction, so I had to use my best judgement. That being said, I am well aware that some of these could easily be argued to belong in different tiers. After all, the whole point of a tier list is that everyone has their own opinion, and the tier list is a way of sharing that visually with others.

I actually think Yanfei should be a lot higher-
She has dedicated her life to studying law and spends much of that time finding loopholes, to the point that Ninguang uses her to fix them. On top of that she also has a lot of influence in Liyue and has friendly relations with practically every one of her clients. Yanfei could easily tear Liyue apart from the inside out, and that’s not even counting her adeptus blood. I think it’s safe to say she could be in “Cities Will Fall” tier
Well this is meant to be a list saying 'how much destruction' the person can cause should they be evil. Yanfei doing that would essentially be attacking Liyue socially, rather than literally. It would definitely be detrimental and could even lead to Liyue having an economic depression, which in itself would cause a lot of suffering, but again, that's not the point of this list. Yanfei would be higher if this list was based on how many people would die/suffer as a result of them being evil.

The destruction she could cause economically is probably massive, and that leads to famine, civil unrest, wars, etc. She has the potential be an absolute crime lord, or a terrorist who causes astronomical cost in damages.
He's placing them by amount of damage brought by their attacks on the city. Example: Zhongli's meteor would do alot more destruction than example fischl and oz combine. Yanfei has the power and the relationships to break liyue internally, but she may not have the actual power to just delete Liyue from the map, so that's why she may be ranked lower than your expectations.
I think she would be crime and vandalism, but your point is very true. Breaking liyue economically by finding tricks and holes in the law can cause a social depression (as these comments state) but indeed pyro can aid her, however, her vision isnt something that can be the only thing she relies on
Regarding Venti being evil, I think he deserves the top spot. Yes, HIS POWERS DID DEGRADE, but we're talking about "Evil Venti" here. He could try to deprive his ideals of "freedom" to the people of Mondstadt, perhaps an evil Venti would just be Decarabian 2.0 but more descructive. Besides he literally transformed Pilos Peak.

Xiao is insanely strong even for an adeptus tho lol. He is known to have slain so many gods that he had karma given to him from the curses of the gods. Pretty sure he should be "Why do i hear boss music" tier since hes the strongest non archon we've seen so far. Esp when considering hes considered a "young" adeptus with this much strength and he is also the teacher of Ganyu who is potentially older than him as an adeptus showing his talent.

Agreed with Lisa she's pretty powerful based on her lore since she's the top student on Sumeru, she probably might be able to control other elements as well using alchemists.

I feel like Tartaglia and Venti can be in Boss Music category.
Venti can create wind vortices that shred things, and he's at his weakest. If he went evil and decided to be a tyrant or ruler, he'd be much stronger. Heck, he could probably suck the wind out of people's lungs in a large scale, suffocating them.
Ajax already can best most things while being cordial, but if he went evil, his bloodlust would be unchecked, turning him into a bloodthirsty killer. Couple that with his Foul Legacy Transformation and he'd be blitzing everywhere, decimating things with his laser eye beam, and summoning colossal water narwhals.

One criticism about your placement of Chongyun:
He has pure yang energy. If he had pure Yin energy, which is the opposite, I feel like the amount of demons he'd draw in just by existing would be kinda terrifying and at least at a "Buildings will be leveled" tier.
he doesn't need yin, his yang is already enough for cities to fall. He destroys everything around him for fun when he is hot with no ill intent, imagine if he had it, how much destruction would he be capable of.

If I’m being honest, Chongyun could have been Destruction of Property. Based on his stories, he might’ve already caused property damage to Wanmin in the past during a celebration. That was also just him being active and loud, and he somehow trains 24/7. If he were seriously trying to cause harm, he could cause some damage.
I think it’s possible for him to be much higher than that because in his story he has pure Yang energy which is why demons stay away from him wherever he goes, granted this may not happen but if he turns evil there is a chance that it will flip to pure Yin energy, the amount of demons coming to an area would be absolutely terrifying and cause immense damage, and this would just be him doing nothing but existing add on to him being active and training I think cities would fall
Sucrose specializes in bio-alchemy; her skill and burst are literally prototype anemo hypostases of her own creation. So if she were to turn evil, although she herself may not be able to do a whole lot, her creations could very well cause havoc - similar to Albedo in that regard, though naturally Albedo probably has more destructive power on his own.

I think Venti and Traveller should be higher on the list and here is why:
1. Traveller fought a literal God (or two of them, since Osial technically also counts)
2. Yes, Venti is weaker in the game now because he refuses to rule, but keep in mind that this tier list is about what would happen if the characters turned evil. You probably know what I mean.

I think Diluc would be higher, not only does he wield a claymore, but he can make a Phoenix with a slash of his claymore. On top of that, He can imbue his claymore with fire, and quickly at that
Edit (1) : Regarding Kokomi, she is super powerful, and could create an ocean on land + Jesus. She can breathe in water to, and water is quite the powerful element in the way she uses it, she would be more on destruction of property
About diluc, on top of all that, he is a stupidly good fighter, he could easily put at least 20 men down all alone. Im pretty sure he can destroy a city if he wants to, besides, he might not have an army but he has MONEY

Honestly for me Bennet would be a nagito but in genshin. Imagine him taking advantage of his bad luck. He doesn't have to do anything. Things just get destroyed around him. Just imagine that.
I haven’t seen a lot of people mention this, but I think that Chongyun would deserve to be higher. He has a pure yang spirit which he works very hard to control, and if you read his story you can see that he can be be very chaotic, wild and out of control. If he were to turn pure evil, his pure yang spirit would probably bolster his destruction-

Archons get more power depending on how much they rule their nation. Venti doesn’t govern his nation AT ALL. (Freedom) But if he were to turn evil, he might regain that power over Mondstadt, also regaining his powers. that he lost over time.
That's correct and I agree with your points, BUT if he were to be evil I don't think he would even become an archon, because Andrius gave him the win during the archon war. reason being is that Venti actually cares about mond's citizens, while Andrius don't. (So basically he thought that Venti would be a much better ruler than him.) So had Venti became evil Andrius would've killed him, instead of letting him become the archon.

I kind of feel like evil Kokomi, is by far the biggest menace. Though she isn’t able to cause destruction in a single instance, i see her capable of rotting a nation from the inside out by turning everyone against each other. It may take years, but it can be done.

It requires a good understanding of social relations and the structure of a group. Also a fair bit of psychology and manipulation.
During her quest she has shown that she knows exactly what the people of watatsumi expect from her, and how to respond appropriately to each one of their concerns and questions without raising any kind of unrest.
for Yanfei, hear me out: She is currently driven by her good morals, with those gone she would get everyone off their charges somehow. unleashing an army of criminals to do her bidding. Also half adeptus, she could do lots more damage if she put all her power into it

Diluc‘s destructive powers are, in my opinion, much higher than you put him, because his phoenix can spread fire across large areas and blow up and crush buildings and other structures. Also, in his quest we see him blowing op a huge ice cube and he also turned himself into a wheel of fire.

I personally think Venti should be top tier. He’s the weakest archon and can make a black hole. Think what he could do if he turned evil and chose to rule Mondstadt, gaining all his power back.

I feel like Kaeya should be higher because of how he's already quite an ambiguous character; I'm pretty sure it's implied he's worked with the treasure hoarders before as well as being manipulative (to say the least) in the webtoon. Because of his shared background from Khaenri'ah with Albedo, I like to imagine them destroying Mond together.

In the manga Kaeya beats up a literal child and has a lot more power. He can make icicles come out of the ground that spread and grow on the ground. And he is very manipulative in the manga like u said.

Yeah for physical damage I’d say so, but if we are heading into societal damage. It could get a lot bigger. I think Kokomi would actually be quit high in that case because kokomi was more so thrust into her position of power and was more so being truste semi blindly, if she were evil (and wasn’t going out guns blazin with it) she could definitely make a considerable force.

When there's something that can clap the clapper of the world then that person goes down a bit. Albedo being able to destroy Teyvat is countered by Archons, thus he'd be stopped at city level.

Maybe Inazuma could come out of it without being completely destroyed due to it being spread out over several islands and all the high ridges and mountains maybe absorbing the impact but Liye or Monstadt would be dust.
Most of the destructive force of meteors is due to the speed in which they impact. Dropping a building from half a mile up, while probably enough to destroy a city like Lyuie, isn't even close to the same as a meteor of the same size impacting from space.
Im pretty sure most buildings would fall when a flaming phoenix flies through them.
Alot of an Archon's strength scales on the amount of control they have over their territory, and how much their people fear and worship them.
If every Archon was evil, they'd all be very powerful, including Venti, because they would all be dictators who would punish anyone that wouldn't worship them, giving them stronger power.
Im not hating, but this video has quite alot of flaws.
That’s the way the archons measure their own power. Their actually strength and power has nothing to do with their control over their nation. For example, Barbatos is the “weakest” archon of the seven because he has the least control over Mondstadt due to his free spirited nature, but he could probably destroy an entire country.

I'm seeing Lisa standing at the center of Mondstadt and forming a huge magical circle on the ground, just to detonate it and destroy the whole city, that's how powerful Lisa would be if she wasn't lazy.
Qiqi might freeze and entire town, I don't know if it's destructive, but it's deadly.
I didn't thought Sucrose would be that low, she learned from Albedo and can create powerful wind blast, that would at least destroy some properties.
Same for Venti, I don't think an evil Venti would let them be weakened by time.

I would like to vouch for my boi Diluc here.
Diluc has a lot of connections, and a high reputation in Mondstadt. So much so that he is called the "Uncrowned King of Mondstadt." Plus he is filthy rich.
If he turned corrupt, he could potentially throw mondstadt into chaos overnight.
People coming after him won't be a very big problem, because he himself is really powerful and he surely will have bodyguards and other protection of the same kind.
And even if someone did get in his way, he could easily dispose them off right then and there, depending on how insane he may have went.
To paint a scenario, he could make himself look like a good guy. Like he tried to save Mondstadt from falling, but wasnt able to and now needs refuge in other cities, where he also has a reputation because of his earlier travels. And then do the same thing, bringing down cities one by one.
He also has a delusion (i may be wrong on that part) which, if he could master, make him quite literally unstoppable if he wasnt already.
I would argue he should be in the *'cities would fall'* tier but if not then at least the *'buildings will be leveled'* tier. (tbh even that kinda feels low)
You can think of an evil batman to put things in perspective. Joker is like an evil batman (in my opinion) and everyone knows the amount of damage he did with the opposition of batman. Evil Diluc could be like that just without a batman opposing him.

there are many hints in her story that show she is capable of doing it, such as surviveing dragon spine for who knows how long that was, and just to be clear, noelle lived though SNOWSTORM dragon spine, but when traveler enters REGULAR dragon spine for 1 minute at MOST you die, but noelle searched for who knows how long for this adveturer, and when she found him she had the strength to carry him back to the camp where she passed out for three bays, but that is godly conpaired to dieing dont you think? and another point is that in her charecter story she knows alot of the knights secrects, such as the components of the baron bunny and the number of klees bomb chaches. this is all things that jean has in her office, but dont you think jean wants to know where the bomb chaches are? because if she does then evil noelle has her hands on how to blow the entierty of mondstant. third point! in another character story, noelle is able to read them so well, just see.

Here’s a cool fact about Kokomi. When Kokomi uses her elemental burst, she actually changes the place around her to breathable water. That’s why I think if Kokomi can make it breathable water, she could make it breathable only for her. That’s why Kokomi would probably be in the “buildings would be leveled” or “cities will fall” category.

He litterily has fought against gods during the archon war and seeing how mihoyo portrays the godly beings in the game, i think its safe to say that he could destroy more than just a city if he wanted too. If this isn't a showcase of highly destructive nature, i don't know what is.

In my opinion, Dilucs main strength is information control. All his Darknignt Hero shenanigans are based on his superb information-gathering network that outshines the Knights of Favonious (maybe excluding Kayea). But if all the information and wealth he posesses would be used for evil deeds, I think he would be on the level of a typical Holywood villain in a superhero film. Someone who is capable to destroy a city. And Ningguang is the same since she is also a character with both wealth and information

Yes Venti DID change the landscape of mond, but that was in his peak power. Now he's not even Divalin level of strong, and I will tell you why. Venti lost all his archon power, because he didn't listen to celestia thus not receiving ANY power from them. Which made him drop to Divalin level of strong, as proven by the fact that he literally couldn't effect Durin or stop him, and he was forced to summon Divalin to help but even then he got sent into a deep slumber. When Venti woke up he wasn't even Divalin level of strong, as it was shown by the fact that he showed actual reaction of being hurt when Divalin roared at him. He was also literally holding onto dear life, when the platforms were collapsing after Divalin's fight. After that he gave his power to Divalin, and he lost his gnosis because of Signora.

The constant creation Ningguang can do according to lore is extremely scary, and since she is also seen as a very cunning and super- intelligent person, I definitely think she would be able to destroy a city or two.
Ningguang, with no bars held, would probably summon a shower of jade, probably to the scale of Monstadt. And her intelligence would probably keep her from getting caught.
She’d basically be a geo Signora but a lot more dangerous since we are viewing their evil as some sort of terrorist act.
You’d be pushing your luck by putting her on the highest tier, but it would make sense. Rather than that, I’d say Ningguang would be one level higher.

I think this would be a lot more fun if we take into account their positions in the lore and story as well! Pure destructive power leaves out a lot of their advantages. (I don't mean any of this rudely, I just really love this concept and want to share my ideas!)
For example, Diluc is a very wealthy person, top of Monds wine industry and a member of the Ragnvindr clan. He's going to have a lot of influence over Mondstadt. Keqing is the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, part of the uber-wealthy ruling class of Liyue. If I'm not mistaken, she's also in charge of environmental affairs like how the water got tampered with. She could easily do massive damage.
Kokomi is a strategic genius, and would probably not reveal her malicious intentions until her plan was finished. She's in a position of power on Watatsumi Island, and I doubt many would question her judgement.
Xingqiu is the star prodigy of the Guhua teachings but he's also the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, and it's been shown he does manipulate his position to get good results (in his story quest he uses his wealth to his advantage and buys out all the ore (I forget which) in the harbor. And I believe he says that while his brother would take over the guild, he feels that he'd be doing a lot of the work?? (Something like that, but I forget exactly what was said). Xingqiu's already a cunning person, so him turning evil could be a pretty bad threat
You should take into consideration there current position in the story and their brain power. Lets take a character like jean for example. Shes the acting grand master of the knights of favonious. Whats to say she couldnt manipulate the knights and use them? The knights are dumb bitches and would totally fall for this. So wouldnt cities fall? Another one is eula. If she turns evil whats to say the lawerence clan wont help? Their evil to begin with of course they will help their own blood into causing chaos.

If we get more lore on Kaeya and his relationship with Khaenri'ah, he might go up a few pegs considering he may have abyssal power we don't know about. Also considering the webtoon, he does have a very skillful manipulation of his cryo, being able to fight back against seemingly Abyssal forces/the Fatui devices. He may or may not be disguising part of his power, but there's no telling right now as this is all just speculation and theory.

Fun fact : surcrose is actually extremely strong if she uses alchemy for evil since she can basically summon a mini anemo hypostasis and is able to buff the people in her team including her meaning if she pushed her alchemy she might be able to summon a hypostasis (the boss version) to help her and with alchemy she might be able to boost the powers of alchemy to buff it even further ( this is just my thought if you dont agree it is fine)

Nahhh Chongyun definitely deserves Destruction of Property, if not Buildings Will be Leveled. In his lore, he once ate some spicy food and went absolutely berserk due to the Yang energy overload. He chased around Xiangling with his sword, jumped on the table and went "Drinks are on me!!" or something like that. At the end, he had to pay for all the damage he caused to Xianglings restaurant. So now imagine what Evil Chongyun can do if he lets his Yang energy take over.

On one end, having someone like Barbara pursuing you wouldn't be AS scary, but characters like Kazuha (who can use his "connection" with nature to find you), Childe (a determined and battle-hungry Harbinger), and Sayu (a literal ninja who you probably wouldn't see coming)? R u n.
I would've put Xiao who is basically the most op non archon character and traveler in "boss music" tier. But that's my personal take.

I’m not trying to attack you or anything but imagine this, diluc has shown the ability to move his giant claymore easily with telekinesis when fighting the abyss order and has also shown the ability to apply pyro to his weapon. Boom pyro claymore boomerang. I also used his burst and it’s went pretty much through it completely while being wider. Keep in mind the phenoix is made of pyro so yeah buildings would fall.

Evil Kaeya would be top-tier in my opinion. As well as evil Klee just because it would be hilarious. And destructive. Kaeya would be really destructive just because of how conniving he is. He'd probably find some way to summon the abyss itself and thrust Mond into chaos, lol. Same with Dainsleif.
Evil Kaeya would literally just call home and help the abyss order fully infiltrate Mondstate. He is hinted time after time again to have secret motives or having active connections or ties to the abyss. A fully Evil version of him would have just given up on Mond a long time ago and our sweet city of Wind would be owned by the abyss by now.
Either that or Evil Kaeya would have just been Nice Kaeya lol
I actually feel like evil Bennett would be interesting. If we're just saying evil as in like villian, what if Bennett took advantage of his bad luck, and just did the opposite of whatever he actually wants to do, for e.x, he would throw water over the city instead of setting it on fire, and his bad luck has lightning strike and set the city on fire or something.
He also has a motive for his bad luck, he's hated by alot of people, especially his former adventurer team. Even though he acts very happy and energetic, I'm sure that must have hurt him. Maybe in evil Bennett AU he was hated even more since he tried time and time again to re-make Benny's Adventurer Team, and every time everyone left. Eventually he would break, hating everyone for hating him for something he can't control, and causing mayhem to the city and whoever else comes across his path.

I think Kaeya and Chongyun would be higher tbh. Chongyun is known for being destructive on his manias when too hot, and so I think if he were to go evil he'd be in some kind of manic frenzy. Also in the manga Kaeya is much more powerful i.e wielding ice swords, literally bringing up shards of ice from the ground, etc
I figured chongyun will eat much much hotter food instead of his usual diet which consists of popsicles and popsicles only. This might cause him to have a immense amt of yang energy and attract evil spirits that mightve been ended by gods during the archon war. Long story short, he'll be much higher in the tierlist.

I disagree with Venti. And i'll offer up why, mind you, this is going by lore and what we see in both the Manga and the game plus his character trailer.
While his powers have degraded, this is true, he still holds enough power to dispel the winds that Dvalin created and since we know he can - at the very least - create whirlwinds to shoot us up in the air or pull others in it's possible he could create cyclones/Tornadoes like that of the Traveler (but, yanno, larger). This comes from the one that Dvalin unleashed on Mondstadt as he borrows power from the anemo Archon as Venti gave the dragon his blessing to use his power.
Even Straight bearing winds is in his power which we saw when he was being attacked by Signora. My guess is he would be a boss since in each instance where we see his power - he isn't going all out. Even without a Gnosis - as the other archons have demonstrated - it's highly likely he is still powerful enough to level a city - multiple cities even - and with his lyre - since it's noted he can use it to call for dvalin - it's possible he could use it to Corrupt Dvalin or even put other forces under his control after all there is still much about him and his abilities as an Archon that we do not know.
So, why didn't he use all his might in the instance with signora? Because it would reveal his identity to all of mondstadt, and potentially put his city into ruins. That's why Signora did attack him then, he wouldn't want to fight back or he'd risk putting many others in danger. Instead, he decided to take the attack as it was a better choice than his city being ruined and many lives being lost potentially.
Even if Venti lost Dvalin's support at the beginning, there is a chance he'd of gain his support later on if Dvalin once again fell under the control of the abyss (who would likely want to partner with Venti in the instance he is trying to destroy the world, though, they'd likely turn on him later on seeing as he was an archon and was part of the war that led to the Abyss Order being formed), or if (as i mentioned) he was able to be controlled by Venti's lyre-playing.
in regards to Signora, he could very well have just saw it as an opportunity to get rid of his responsibilities as an archon. He already suspected that the fatui were specifically after his gnosis. I think it is pretty likely that he just let it be taken.

- since we know he's a Khanreian spy, I think that it could be a possibility that he's pretending to be a 4 star powered character so that people don't see him as a big threat. If he were to turn evil (or if he is evil [cuz of the spy work thing]), I can definitely imagine a whole army of hilichurls and abyss mages fighting by his side because they're all loyal to him, as he was their Prince
Also, in the manga where he tried to battle with the girl with the injected archon residue, he seemed to be really really powerful, making walls of ice and all

In the Windblume festival event, Kaeya wrote a poem for Venti that says, "'Mi hu muye' is hilichurlian for 'I love you'," which isn't the actual meaning but actually meaning "I'll triumph/defeat u," a threat to the anemo archon saying that he would take his revenge on him, which Venti clearly understood and decided to ignore
Soooo Kaeya could be in the hilichurls' side for all we know but we can never be sure if it's true until more info on it comes up ^^
