    • @rockervaler103

      Look, I'm telling you as an Italian, I'm a great lover of this type of cuisine, and I would like there to be the same presence of these places as there are all over the world. Unfortunately you are right, for us in Italy this format would not work like the ones they did for China, Japan, the UK etc..., because Italians, just as you say, are stuck in the past at a culinary level, and it is such a mentality dirty that I can't stand it, because these people who despise these places are the same ones who have never set foot outside their country, or even worse who have never tried it even before judging but they talk.
      with this I am not saying that we need to spit on Italian cuisine, but simply that Italians must wake up and abandon this mentality abandoned on the past, on the old, and start welcoming this type of clientele (mostly teenagers) rather than just a slice that is, the elderly one, who remains with a mentality that is, to say the least, shameful.
      And sincerely, I repeat as an Italian, videos like this with Italy are welcome, at least we satisfy all customers and not just some.

      southern europe in general is like that. no southern european country fits well for this stuff because we treat meals like something to sit down and eat and enjoy. during the summer or christmas holidays, and the weekends as well, a lunch or dinner might go on for 2 hours, not because people are waiting for their food, but because they're just chatting, enjoying their meal, ordering more stuff, and socializing like it's some sort of medieval feast

      @@elamunsey this is not true at all, it seems like your knowledge of Italian food habits came exclusively from Instagram reels
      Breakfast is an important meal and each person has their favorite (biscuits with milk, toast, cereals with milk, at the bar, etc.), also I think breakfast food is the most advertised
      Such a small lunch only if you are in a hurry and you don't want to cock and then clean the dishes, most people even if they have lunch at work or at universtiy bring dishes such as pasta or salads, in any case something substantial
      If you eat lunch and home with your family you definitely won't just eat a sandwitch
      And the thing that social life revolveing around apertivi is exaggerated by social media, some have Aperitiv only on weekends, some several times in a week, others never

      It's quite challenging to find an Italian truly enthusiastic about KFC. For example, in Italy, we have 12 million more inhabitants than Spain, yet there are more than twice as many KFC stores in Spain. I dated a gal from Roma for 4 years and I can totally see the Italians being confused about KFC. Fried chicken is an alien thing to them. And that is how they stay healthier than us Americans.

    Love to see a Domino's or Pizza Hut version of Italy vs USA just to see what Italians really think of that style of Pizza or if they even class it as Pizza

    • @evelyn_pog
      @evelyn_pog Год назад +8

      Domino's and pizza hut don't exist in Italy. Domino's was present until not long ago but then they closed down. Personally as an Italian I would class it as pizza, not authentic pizza but it certainly is pizza, deep dish however? Not pizza imo.

    My family made sure to try a few fast food places in Milan. While i don't appreciate them not having biscuits and extra crispy chicken, i did like that their fried chicken wasn't like eating a salt lick like it does in the States. Why does it have to be so salty?! Oh also, the gravy in Italy tastes a bit better.
