Excellent video ! I've been doing your "shot quality / timeline stack" technique for years. It works because you get to see ALL the footage quickly and rate the shots as you go. Then when your polishing the final video edit you can quickly find just the best b-roll (on the top layers) ! LOVE IT ! GREAT WORK !
Thank you brother! Always nice to have skilled editors on board of this channel. If you have any other feedback in the future, I would be very glad to read it. Just the best
And then I comment that this video is excellent and that I can't wait to see more of the content you hinted at. I really like your workflow, I have definitely picked up a couple of pointers from your organisation style. To be honest man, I'm currently doing a degree for film and I just learned more in 7 minutes than I have during the whole degree with regards to practical skills in post production. Your content is fabulous, I've now watched every video you put up in the same day after discovering you through one of your tutorials. Impressive style, practical tips, funny humour. You really have a lot of personal flair in all your videos, always with a fun and unique spin. Just waiting for your channel to surpass Kolder at this point, you deserve it!
Wow dude that was the longest comment I’ve ever got haha can’t tell you enough how much this words are worth to me ! Thanks for the incredible support 👏🏻
Just want to say thanks .This video really helped me with my editing workflow! Used to feel overwhelmed with having a ton of footage and not knowing what to do or where to start.
I love this. I honestly wish I did more video work so that I had an excuse to watch more of your videos 😅 As it stands, this is my first video project that requires editing, and this is a great intro to get a feel of how I should approach it.
Subbed. I love your style. Great job. I'm a beginner in my 40's and I have some sweet gear, but my workflow is terrible for someone with ADHD. I start editing WAY too soon. This helps...especially the pancake timeline bit. Very cool.
Just got into your channel. Thank you so much for this video, as a beginner, it's definitely going to help me make Premiere's UI less scary. Liked+favorited+subbed!

oh dude your brain goes a million miles a second! Super cool workflow and honestly not even surprised in how good it is, your edits are fucking insaneeee. Definitely one of the best editors I've seen around!
Quick question what is the difference between the work space folder structure you created for ( "maximum organization " ) and the local folder structure on your computer
Thanks brother! Gern geschehen :) Mhm I would say I have slightly different structures on my computer compared to the one in Premiere Pro. I don't know why :D
Rendering, Proxies, Export Settings, AND WORKFLOW, are the really ugly behind the scenes things that must be nearly mastered to put out a video that is tolerable at best. I just gotta say thank you for taking the time to go through a fundamentals drill to make the editing process easier to keep up with. You just helped me eliminate 20 or more % of my "what the..........." situations I face on the regular.
Hey Nina :) You just need to leftclick and hold on your sequence name (right above your timeline) then drag it gently down 2-3 cm so a blue animation pops up. Then let it go. Really hard to explain if you still want to need to know this text me on ig @peter.kae and i’ll send you a video !
The assembly part of video editing process is the most time consuming and I think Adobe should rethink how to make much better. Otherwise we just need to follow the workarounds like the one described in this video. Thank you for it!
how about making an empty project with all those bins and saving it on desktop. then copying that to the folder you are working in. your half work for every project is done now just import into those bins directly.
The most important thing I've learned in this video was this: Hatless videos are better, and I request more hatless videos. And would you please tell us which shortcuts do you use a lot? Maybe in another hatless video?
Ahhh wow now I know. Bro what a nice feedback from you! Sometimes I’m really in the struggle If with hat or no haha. I’ll take that advice into account!

Dude so kind to let me know !! Feedback like that is always massive appreciated 🙏☺️

Hey Peter, how do you layer your sequence one on top of the other? That would help so much in my editing workflow

Hey Amir! Yes why not thanks for the advice. BTW what do you mean with hatless? :D Is that good or bad? haha
Peter, You have beautiful hair. Don't hide it under a hat :)
Let them be jealous. HaH
Ahhh wow now I know. Bro what a nice feedback from you! Sometimes I’m really in the struggle If with hat or no haha. I’ll take that advice into account!
How bout director's workflow?
What exactly do you mean? ☺️
@@PeterKae My apologies for typo, what was I meant is there any perfect workspace settings for filmmaker? My timeline is on the whole vertical space.
You actually talk bad and tell fast jokes.
Yet I still learn a lot from your videos.
🤷🏽♂️
😂 great you see it this way
How long does it take you to edit this video alone dayum son
uh about 20-25 hours I would say
Shit. I'm already doing all this and it still takes me three whole days to edit a video.
Haha but you will get faster with the years!!
