Cool to watch this one. I ate lunch at Dahlgren and camped at Annapolis Rocks. The sunset there was one of the only few I stayed awake for on trail. Gorgeous! I was laughing at the "this is not a Spielberg shot" comment.
I remember stopping for a view on those rocks and monument and getting water from the back of that shower building. 67,100,167,1000,2000,2189. They are great #s but the only important mile is the one you are hiking. When that mile is done and behind you, your next important mile is right in front of you.
Grumpy, congratulations on your 100 miles! Take it easy until the Hazy, Hot and Humid days clear... It should be somewhat better starting tomorrow... Hike On!

Way to go Grumpy! 100! And laundry/shower. You spoke about milestones in the previous vid and it made me think about how just taking your first return step to the trail was a big one. Hammock setup is lookin' good. Travel early and keep guzzling the h2o. Best wishes as always.
I hated the constant noise from the big trucks roaring down I70 when I camped at Annapolis Rocks. Strangely, there was far less noise at the Pine Knob shelter. On another trip, when I stayed at the Pine knob shelter, there was a resident black snake, so no mice! I enjoyed the section from Pine Knob shelter to Rocky Run shelter; not easy, but not too bad either. The shower was awesome! I took a shower there and then hiked on to Crampton Gap; best decision ever!

Wow! 100 already! You are doing great! You hammock looked like it was hanging in a sweet spot. I bet that felt good after a good long shower.
