I love how everyone buys the one or two token bags of park wood then uses properly dried stuff that is brought in with the camp gear. I've found lately that the wood from Canadian tire is really...greasy?...it makes a right mess in the chimney. I can get about 30 hours of burn time before I need to clean it. I understand most varieties of birch is softwood yet I don't remember having such issues last season. Are you experiencing the same? Happy hot-tenting!
They didn’t sell would at this park. So it’s wood I brought in. Some is from Canadian tire but I find it’s dry and very useable. It burns fast but even cut hardwood burns pretty fast. The worst is the wood that’s made and pressed together. That wood creates a real problem in the stove pipe. Thanks for your comment!
Great vid 👌 👍 love the hot tent I've been trying to persuade the wife into letting me buy one but so far I've not worn her down enough 😂😂 that frying pan looked a decent size which make is it Tim ? And who needs a chef with all the great easy wholesome food, must admit I was hoping you tried to get to the lake, just for comedy value really 😅😅
Thanks Mick! I’m a fan of your channel. I’ve been watching and cheering you on for a while. The pan is from woods which is a Canadian company out of a store called Canadian tire. Steve Wallis ( fellow Canadian ) always talks about Canadian Tire so it’s becoming more familiar to people. I’m almost 60 the snow trek might have been a bit much for me but my super fit son made his way down to the lake and said it was awesome. Sadly I never made it down just to much snow, lol. Oh to be 18 again!!’ ❤
Looks like you have neighbors....super cool.

Also keep working on that wife of yours, hot tenting is the best I love it! ❤
You learn to cook by trying, trying and trying some more.
Absolutely I agree! I always say enjoy the journey not just the finish
