Thank you so much. I know how much they charge at the dealership to do this and it only cost me $21. I'm a 74 yr old widow, and i'm all about saving money
Thank you very much! You help me change it without asking my father for help! Which saved me a very toxic, and verbal argument and repremandation! Thank you!
I literally just purchased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata after having a ford fusion and it is night and day ! my ford fusion was a headache and piece of crap car. Changing the air filter on the ford fusion was such a hassle !! I say all of this say I totally related to your comment lol
It honestly depends. I don't think they make HEPA filters for this vehicle. You're mainly going to find basic filters (similar) to the OEM Hyundai. Or activated carbon filters. Cheap filters tend to be lower in quality compared to OEM. Activated carbon has the benefit of reducing odors.
The arrow on the cover tells you which side of the cover faces up. The arrow on the filter points in the direction of airflow. Which is down. The outside air enters through a vent near the wipers. The blower motor is below the filter and sucks air downward and into the cabin if the car.

You're welcome.
Is it best to pay the 45 for the Hyundai filter or are aftermarket ones for $15 just as good.
Also, some say HEPA filter, is that necessary?

@@MTTech God bless you 🙏
Lol just to do this which takes less than 5 min for me, dealership asked 300$. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Can you make a video on how to remove a stuck as card from inside a mymahdi MP3 player
Please show me how to change oil filter
Hyundai was charging me $56 for this.
Well done video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
The dealership was gonna charge me $97 including labor
Unfortunately it's easy money for any dealer.
Why does the cover show the arrow going up but the filter is shown with arrow down?
The arrow on the cover tells you which side of the cover faces up. The arrow on the filter points in the direction of airflow. Which is down. The outside air enters through a vent near the wipers. The blower motor is below the filter and sucks air downward and into the cabin if the car.
@@MTTech Thanks...I actually figured it out as soon as I took the cover off. I guess I should pay more attention.
The cover says up while you have the filter flow going down...
The arrow on the cover is for the direction of the cover telling you which side of the cover points up. The arrow on the filter is for the direction airflow which is downward. Outside air comes in from the vent below the windshield wipers. Goes through the filter, then the blower below the filter blows it I to the car.
