Thank you so much for the demonstration and advice. My podiatrist recommended this, I just ordered mine today from Amazon. I have been in a boot for a while, can’t wait for it to get here. To get out of this boot will be a perfect blessing. Thanks again you rock.😊
I bought a pair 5-6 years ago not knowing how good these were. Now I use them on every single bball shoes. They really lock your ankles into place as described. I cant count how many times these things saved my ankles. Last night I rolled my ankle and landed on someone's foot from a rebound but I was able to alleviate the damage with the help of this one. Had it not been for this product, my right ankle would have been in a much tougher situation
@tylerblair4691 I did at first, but u need to leave a bit of space for your feet to breathe since the skin expand. The thing that worked for me best was to put the braces on while you putting pressure on your feet. This way the braces molds the right amount of tightness around your foot so it doesn't interfere with blood flow when you're running on them. Hope that helps. You can always adjust the tightness anyway
I've seen several videos recommending this brace for chronic conditions. How does it perform in acute needs? I had surgery on the tendon that runs outside the ankle and under the foot. My podiatrist has prescribed this brace for after I can bear weight on my foot.
Generally speaking, if it is that acute and inflamed, usually a hard brace is put on. This brace is good for support, but I think it would pretty painful to have on especially if the ankle is very swollen. I personally like the shock doctor more for that reason because of the elastic bands make it a little bit more adjustable. But if the podiatrist prescribed, I see no reason why you should against the advice.
I just got this ASO Ankle brace, however it doesn't feel like it provides much support. My orthopedic dr prescribed it. Let's see if it helps with the pain when walking.
Great video. It seemed so simple in the Doctor's office. I was prescribed a slightly different model incorporating a rigid plastic plate directly below the ankle. Good, better or little difference?
Saw a few pro tennis players wearing the ASO, including the beautiful Genie Bouchard. Giving it a try and so far I like the feel and lightweight. Hope it lasts a long time. Seems to be well constructed.
Thank you for the review. I think that helps people to figure out how to wear it and to get an idea about the product. I personally did not like the material at all. The whole strap and bottom make this ankle guard slippery. Just to walk in my flat to go and grab my shoes made me loss balance. I won't recommend this product as I found it dangerous and very tiring to set up without fitting properly. My feet are wide but my ankle is way narrower as a result the back tends to be loose which could potentially irritate my skin for long usage and the strap barely makes it back to wear it is supposed to go. I decided to return this product after trying to adjust it, puzzling if this material was appropriate. At the end, it is for me a hard and firm "no". Not for me.
@@stevengrant9837 It could work if the tedonitis is coming from a lack of stability. Bigger question comes down to whether the lack of stability is coming from a lack of strength, or damage of the tendon itself, or both. Depending on the answer would dictate how effective a brace would be
Hi I ankle roll and my physio person recommended these as well as a bracing specialist there did also just prior to me going to my doctor to find out that I have hip dysplasia and probably osteoarthritis too he didn’t however recommend sigvaris compression socks however because I already have tight muscle tone I guess however both of them recommended this particular brace that is really snug fitting and causes me pain however what I really wanted was an ankle foot orthosis… Anyways my doctor is referring me to a orthopaedic surgeon so hopefully 🙏🏻 they will have some answers that actually make more sense then they do!
Seems strange that with pathologies of hips displasia that an ankle brace is being recommended? Haven't heard that before. But of course trust your medical professional that are over seeing your care.
@@ForTeamTang no the physiotherapist recommended this a day before I got my diagnosis from my doctor for hip dysplasia but I also have a right curved in ankle and foot too that I tend to roll over onto the side of my right foot 🦶 so I have more than one issue happening here
It's not bad, but really it depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I like the one from shock doctor more. Comparison video in the link below ruclips.net/video/xxwcQoYkXYo/видео.html
Hello, do you recommend that kind of anklet for roller skating?, I see is a great support for ankles and reduce a lot the risk of fracture and injuries
can you recommend ankle braces for returning to sport (american football / rugby) please? it needs to reduce the movement of my foot downwards and inwards to not stretch the outside of my foot, but make sure i can still change direction pretty well
I have not released the video yet, but the brace from shock doctor is my favorite. It is supportive yet still allows for a little wiggle room to move amzn.to/2T0kkGW

Thanks for the video. Would be helpful if you (or someone) would demonstrate how to size it. The instruction sheet they provide is kind of vague.
I completely agree because they don’t offer returns! I’m either an xs or small. Gambled on the xs, we’ll see. 😅

What you should be worried about is not how tight it is around your soles, but how secured the side straps and the strap on the front ankle.
I brought this from Amazon can't wait for it to come
Does this one prevent plantar flexion as well?
Tennis warehouse has this on sale for $26.99
I bought 2 of em for like $59.11

Can you wear it with orthotic insoles in your shoes?
Yes. I have orthotics and a heel lift and it works just fine
Thank you for this! Much appreciated!
Glad I could help!
Is it good for posterior tibial tendinitis? Thanks
How come some has ASO logo and some doesn't? Is it counterfeit if buy on eBay?
The laces need to be better. Seen ones were you stretch the laces across from each side with welcome on the ends

Did you get the EVO or the ASO? EVO is the newer gen and I'm thinking about getting one
I got the aso. Still in perfect shape
Isn’t there a Velcro version? I hate laces
Consider the shock doctor ankle brace. It is one that I personally prefer specifically cause it is velcro.

Hi, would you recommend this ankle brace over the Aircast A60?
I personally have not used the aircast 60
that's pretty thick, how much bigger in size do we need to buy our shoes to fit this
Great review!

This or a boot for peroneal tendonitis?
Thank you so much❤️
is it supposed to feel tight throughout where the laces are? I only feel most tightness at the top.
Perhaps try relacing the laces. Some times the initial lacing is biased towards being tighter in some areas than others
Any good for pttd
I am not sure what this means

Best ankle brace to wear with cleats if you had ORIF surgery?
This one shouldn't be an issue
@@ForTeamTang thank you the problem is I'm a catcher ?
I had an ankle fracture and had surgery two weeks ago how long do you think the recovery is
If it is follows typical protocol, 12 - 16 weeks.
Can a person that wears a size 18 wear these?? And that plays basketball?
Shouldn't be an issue
