Just look how much meaning, weight, class, emotion and dignity this one scene has. In my opinion most of the new generation Marvel movies are making the same mistake as the DC movies made, they wanted the payoff without investing into building their characters first. This scene is a great example of buildup and payoff.
Probably because they are hiring Actors, Writers and directors who were never invested in the characters or Canon more and more.its just another project for them.just thinking out loud.
Wait until Secret Wars. If you know comics you’d know it’s gonna be good. It’s not that bad. People just joined this Marvel hate train because it’s the “cool thing” to do now. A bunch of adult nerds acting like high school kids. Those that said they hated Nickleback but actually still like them. There’s been a few truly not so good things but the rest has been fine. Because of RUclips everyone just picks everything apart now, and people are starting to take the fun out of things for no reason.
@@BuckyBarnesATL Jesus. Give it a rest already. You’re on every comment that obviously speaks truth on how bad the MCU has fallen. You like mediocre shows and movies, we get it. It didn't work out for Tony and Nat, Steve ended up using the time machine to get his happy ever after with Peggy. Dude literally won the jackpot in all of this.

Kids growing up now will NEVER know the in real time journey we all went through as The Infinity Saga developed. And that genuinely makes me sad for them.
That movie, was everything it was supposed to be, the culmination of over a DECADE of Marvel movies. Impossible to not not become emotional, watching “Infinity War”, and “Avengers: Endgame”.
Man I can’t believe this was five years ago already. I remember going to the movies with my friends to see this and now they are all gone from my life entirely. It feels sad to remember that some of the best things I had are fading into the past so fast.
Just noticed that Sam Wilson(Captain America) holds the shield the same when Steve Rogers gives the shield to Sam as Steve Rogers here when Tony Stark gives the shield to Steve Rogers.
He said exactly what dr strange said to him on that ship on the way to titan in infinity war and did the exact opposite of what he said he’d do just like dr strange. That’s when I knew I’d be crying at the end of this movie 😢

May be not die trying.... ain't we all in the same boat....such a deep message not to die chasing our dreams, keeping what we had in our journey without cheating them for someone else.... man!! Life is so simple, yet we urge to complicate things for something new ?
I wonder if even the remote possibility of losing 1 child truly was worth every being in existence either losing 5 years of their life or suffering through 5 years of chaos...
Genuinely one of my favorite scenes ever - absolutely nailed both characters and they're dynamic together. The respect, complications, strengths & weaknesses, all of it, beautifully.
Cap's initial hesitation of getting his shield proves how he's so worthy of actually having that shield. Kinda similar to when Tony said to Peter, "If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it.".
You can tell becoming a father has matured him a little. He even started his conversation like a dad trying to explain how something turned out exactly how he said it would. Cap just mutters into his chest like, ‘I know I screwed up! Just tell me how to fix it!’
The thing is and this is why this will never be Overcome! Marvel actually had a Plan for this Specific Movie, a plan that it did started on 2007 when the first Iron Man Movie was Made with that post credit where Fury appears and talk to tony about Something Bigger called Project Avengers. I have no seen this at all with this Phase of Movies, something that it feels pure and Engaging that you actually want to see it.
Fuk Cap, in my understanding he was bogus asl… Tony didn’t want to but got guilt tripped by cap to come back and save everyone knowingly risking his life with his daughter n wife… ends up dying cap puts the stones back and lives happily ever after while Tony sacrificed everything…😮💨
Tony got guilt tripped by Peter, not Cap. He thought of Peter like a son and possibly his scientific heir, and Peter died in his arms pretty much right after Tony made him an Avenger. Cap just gave Tony a potential path to bring Peter back…
How did we go for this version of the MCU great story telling with characters and their flaws to overcome them to be the best version of themselves to the current MCU.
I feel like the two never really got a long but when then sht got rough, they became a top duo partner in the universe (worded that weird). They're more alike then they think
This is not impossible to have again. Right now Marvel is producing self contained movies within the same universe, which sort of just fine on their own. No need to bring old characters back. Give the current characters this. Time to have long standing friendships and relationships that become complex. Dont rely on this old stuff to carry you. Marvel just needs to actually keep trying instead of just resting on the laurels on Endgame and expecting everything that follows to be a box office hit.

@@justsomeguy1136 Why exactly is that?
The fact that "die trying" was last of his priority list
And only a "maybe."

Yep. He didn't die bringing everyone back but he died "keeping what he found" cause if he didn't snap, Thanos would've wiped everyone.

"And maybe not try dying" that didn't workout so well for both of them
What do you mean by both of them? Steve literally has better life than Tony, he traveled back in time, meet his lover again, and growing old together.

The conversations between Steve and Tony in all of the avengers movie really made them special.
Love the subtle hand motions after Stark hands over the shield, like giving back the Shield took a weight off his shoulders. Great acting here.
And the instant weight it added to Steve's.
I love that Captain America first avenger film theme when he gets that shield back.
