Hollywood Heel fr at least what Dillon said was true bubba gave him a shot and if Austin went high Eric wouldve bocked him opening the bottom lane but for Hamlin there wouldn't but 2 car lengths between him the car behind him straight dumped Chase..... Then rides bubba to the wall like he did blaney at Martinsville smh ima keep a sharp eye out for him woo man im done now lol

I felt so bad for Aric and all he went through last season to get to this moment but he showed how much of a class act he truly is. After saying that I know it was an unpopular way to win but that was something to behold. My father named me after Dale Sr thats how big of a fan he was and growing up I was Earnhardt through and through whether is was as a real little kid rooting for Sr or switching to Jr in 2000 so I could have that father son bond with my dad like they had. Unfortunately that only lasted a year but watching the 3 car pull into Daytona victory lane just brought back so many memories and emotions not only for me but my family as well. I dont care what people say if Chase couldnt have pulled it off i couldnt think of a much better winner for me.

Man this gave me chills watching it. Austin Dillon winning the 500 in the 3 car on the 20 year anniversary of Dales 1 and only 500 win felt almost like destiny. He pulled a classic Earnhardt move to win the race. I hope the guy lives up to his promise and being the fact he wants to be the new Intimidator. Im a Elliot, Larson, Blaney fan 1st. Although im always happy seeing that #3 going to victory lane even if none of my main 3 drivers cant get the job done that day.

  • @TheLOOKOUTSquad

The 2018 Daytona 500 always makes me cry because it reminds me of dale Earnhardt winning the 500 in 1998, then having Austin Dillon race the #3 to victory lane in 2018 makes me get real emotion to see that #3 back in victory lane where it belongs :.-)

A lot of people think Austin Dillon turned Aric Almorola on purpose. Never even touched him. Bubba pushes Austin up to Aric, Aric winds up directly in front of Austin, the new aerodynamic package causes the air on Aric's back bumper to become turbulent, around goes Almorola, that opens up Austin Dillon to win the Daytona 500 under mysteriously similar circumstances.

FUEL Bandicoot Seems the produces a nice little piece supporting the “Feel good NASCAR Story of the Week”........which was BS but they wanted to talk about Dale Sr. And also connect all their “Young Guns” to history. Also BS. Daytona is more Marketing tool than Race. Wrecks for ratings and happy ending along with a produced TV piece to wrap it up.

Tony Stewart said plenty about blocking on superspeedways during his time racing. From what i saw with the 10 and 3. Its exactly what Tony was trying to say. You can block for only so long before you get turned. Austin did what EVERYONE would have done. And if you even think that you would lift, then you are lying.

"it's the 3 car this it's the 3 car that!" did people complain about the fact that Brad drives Rusty's number? No! jeez just because it's the 3 doesn't mean y'all gkrra make excuses out of it.

I guess Austin Dillon embodied the spirit of Dale Senior to dump Aric Almirola

I mean he won the race however he had to and a win is a win, but man that's probably the most controversial Daytona 500 win of all time

WorcestershireySauce not really, Almirola was blocking and Dillon never let off the gas when Almirola came down, that's just racing

It is controversial. He never lifted, he was hooked(people need to look better)

dawgsfan1196 not only did he not lift, he went high to low after he'd locked bumpers. It was an intentional move, and the reason I recognized it was because I've done it before in iracing

commander JS if Dale Earnhardt lulled that move you wouldn’t be complaining
