I wouldn't expect GTA VI to look totally realistic like an Unreal Engine 5 game. I think Rockstar has a more artful approach to graphics. It will probably looks like real life but a underlying layer of expressionism. Like you feel the temperature by looking at the screen type of thing.
That's actually a really good point. Kind of like RDR2. Obviously the characters don't look 100% realistic, but their artstyle and approach made the game look and feel more real. It's honestly crazy. I personally think that GTA 6 may look on point if not better than an UE5 game. 10 years in the making, I could expect some ground breaking graphics. Thank you so much for watching and sharing!
@Brilli4nt yeah, I'm just prepared to hear some people complain about how it doesn't look as real as they expected it to, without understanding the design language Rockstar is aiming for. Like you said, it will probably look better than UE5 in a lot of ways, but maybe not at a glance. The superiority of the graphics probably won't be as evident until you're in the game and everything is working to make you feel like you're in it.
That artistic touch is the visual difference between the original 3D trilogy on Renderware and the Definitive Editions on UE4. Yeah, the DE looks visually crisper, but nothing expresses itself as well as it did originally. Everything was deliberately tweaked to a specific visual setting for a purpose, and just going in and making everything look "better" made the sum of it's parts look so bad.
@@OkByeNw Very well said, Dethin. I'm not sure your stance on the "Woke" GTA 6 rumors. I personally don't believe GTA 6 is going to be woke, I just think the writing approach is going to be more realistic, similar to RDR2 or GTA 4.
@Brilli4nt my hope is that the games Rockstar puts out will continue to mature with the audience that grew up with them. I think the writing will always be designed to provoke in some way.
As far as the accusations of political correctness goes... I'm not sure where that's coming from, but it seems about as baseless as rumors about Rockstar NOT caring about single player story anymore and only only caring about Shark Cards. But their track record doesn't reflect that at all.
RDR2 was released 4 years after the success of GTA Online, but it had the biggest commitment to single player story ever seen in a video game. Rockstar gets to do what it wants and Rockstar is obsessed with cinema and paying homage to classic films in their games.
They're multiplayer isn't really where their heart is at and take two doesn't really tell them what to do.
Being woke in the negative sense pf the word goes against the DNA of the studio and I just don't think they're capable of it if they wanted to.

These aren’t the final graphics for sure, you can tell by the cloud texture and reused models from GTA 5 that they didn’t even begin to make the graphics, probably old footage

Maybe nothing happened. There have been so many leaks, it's not a big deal anymore. That guy was probably at a meeting at his job where they discussed the trailer that's scheduled for next week, then meeting the deadline for making pre-orders available, then meeting the deadline for releasing the game. Someone in the meeting probably said _"oh by the way, some more stuff leaked onto the Internet but the legal department is handling it,"_ and that's it.

my first impression was gta 5 modded or something else. but looking again the key may be the system info text on the bottom the video, some of the leaked footage from last year also had similar info on the videos

If people would compare the assets from gta 5 and the new gta this is clearly gta 6 the graphics, tree assets, the shading everything is so detailed it looks like rdr2 type graphics but that was their whole plan to make a gta game with the amazing rdr2 graphics but in gta and they nailed it, this is not fake at all.

IDK why ppl didnt get this, Its still under developement, so the leaks is probally still based on the RAGE8 engine instead of the new RAGE9 engine, so u could see the light and and shawdow quailty is basiccally same as what RDR2 did, surely not the FINAL version of GTAVI.

Also, this build was from a few months ago. They're probably still introducing a few more subtle graphical upgrades which is why we're not seeing anything up close.
But it's probably at the point where most developers would release it. But Rockstar likes to go in and playtest their games obsessively and make tweaks to the foliage and placement of trash and other environmental details.
I guarantee the announcement trailer will be a beta build of the city with slight changes between now and release that you'd only notice if shown side by side this release footage, just like V and IV
This kind of meticulous attention to detail is why you can drive through the mountains and desert in V and enjoy how visually rich it is and full of assets and features without immediately hitting anything the moment you go off road at full speed. They play test it all constantly and make changes, so all those environmental details rarely get in the way of your fun. In other games, like, Fat Cry, you go off road and immediately hiting things and get frustrated.
It takes forever but it is worth it. A full year devoted to environmental polish is why V was never surpassed and still feels like a tech demo to this day.
I completely agree, and after making the video (I just went off the top of my head), I don't think this is completely finished, but I do think it's pretty close. Rockstar games truly delivers in every aspect, graphics, story, mechanics, gameplay. They strive to improve with each game, and their motivation and discipline really allows them to make a bigger and better product each game. I love Rockstar games, even if they have made some rough decisions here and there. Thank you so much for watching and sharing this! It means a lot!

Bruh 😂, add to the fact that this is cellphone footage of an external screen, so yeah nothing screamed "REAL LIFE" to me either.
It reminds me of the way the game UnRecord looks, how it has that film grain (from the cell phone camera) that in my opinion made it look a bit more realistic. Everyone sees things differently, but I thought it looked fairly realistic.

This whole story is more of a bummer than it is exciting.
If it actually came from the son of the lead developer (and co-studio head) at Rockstar North, it's going to be a nightmare for that family. I literally can't imagine the position that the kid's dad is in right now. It is easily the biggest, most expensive, and most anticipated release in the history of the industry. Potentially 10 years of work.
The amount of rage and betrayal someone would be feeling at anyone who did this would be gut-wrenching, but to have to feel it towards your own kid? And then be stuck in the middle of T2 and your own son and trying to balance out the appropriate way to handle it? It's even worse knowing the official trailer just 2 days away. Why bother at that point?
I really do hope that they're doing okay and that kid hasn't just absolutely destroyed his father. He's been there since '96 when it was still DMA and from the very first GTA, (presumably) much longer than his son has even been alive. The whole thing is genuinely super sad.

I don't think this game is going to be something revolutionary, I mean logically what can they even add that wasn't in GTA online, It's going to feel like another gta 5 mod with better graphics. Just wait and watch. The Characters are also not interesting.
