1st of 5 Paint tutorials: In this video, the basic tools of MS Paint, as it comes with Windows 7, are demonstrated through the making of a simple drawing.
At last I can hear someone with a wonderful accent and above all with voice volume that does not make suffer to those like me with hearing disabilities. Thank you so much...
THIS VIDEO IS JUST AMAZING.I LOVE THE WAY YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF TO THE LISTENERS AND IT IS VERY INFORMATIVE FOR ME AS A BEGINNER. JUST LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS
Dear friends! Yesterday I uploaded an improved version of my RUclips video _How to Make a Simple Drawing in MS Paint_. The original version was first uploaded in June 2012, and has now almost 2900 views, and also 11 "likes" and 0 "dislikes" on RUclips. Lately I haven't been quite satisfied with it myself, however; and so, I've made this new and better version. Enjoy!
***** Jepp, I wish MS Paint had a function like that. In my next two videos, which I'm currently working on, I kind of do go harder into the paint, though... :-)
+Atle Solholm Hello, I have a problem with the quality of lines when drawing with ms paint, sometimes, when using the line tool at certain angles, the line becomes distorted, also the elipse tool itself, doesn't produce a neat solid circle, rather the lines look very rough.....do you know how I can improve this? I work with logos, and sometimes I need to draw particular pieces on paint, to use on my logo making software.....Thank you...
This was very good! Thank you for posting it. Liked and subscribed, and then realized you haven't posted anything lately. Oh, well, I'll stay subscribed, in case you decide to post. I hope you are alive and well!
Thank you, sir, for a very informative video series. My two daughters, ages 7 and 8, are using MS Paint to earn part of their Computer Literacy Girl Scout badge. Your tutorials are exactly what we need to systematically learn new skills and practice them as we go along. We have truly been enjoying your videos (and my children giggled incessantly at your phrase "elongate the flagpole or it will look quite stupid.")
Becky Thank you very much for your very kind comment! I can imagine your daughters toggling between an open Paint document in one window, and a running video tutorial in another window, trying out the stuff for themselves as they watch the videos. I hope you will also enjoy my new video that I uploaded just a few hours ago. It's called "How to Make a Complex Drawing in MS Paint", and it's replacing the one called "How to Make a Detailed Drawing in MS Paint". I have totally reworked that video, it actually took me a few months, and so it's more than just a new version of that old one... :-) [I also spoke to slowly on the old one, on this new one it will be a lot easier to keep awake as you watch it].
Hello, Atle. Having just subscribed to your RUclips channel in order to find the whole tutorial on using Microsoft 'Paint' , may I congratulate you! Certainly I shall be watching it numerous times! I wonder if you could please consider producing an even more detailed version showing smaller steps for those of us who are non-tech ?
Yes, I'm a hard-working MD, and that's why I currently have only 7 videos in my Channel; it's not always easy to find spare-time for making videos. Nevertheless, I'm about to finish a new one now, that I've been working on for more than 6 months... I believe I'll be able to upload it during this month of December. :-) Thanks for your kind comment, btw.

TheTrinkleinator2004 you mean the circles and arrows etc. that pops up and then disappears? I've been making most of them in PowerPoint. I know, that sounds a bit too simple, but that's also the reason they generally appear on "frozen" images, and (usually) not on moving film clips. To give you some further details: I use a program called _Screenflow_ to record what's happening on my laptop screen when I perform the various tasks in MS Paint and other programs. Then, whenever I come to a point where I want to explain or point out any particularities, I capture a screen-shot [cmd+shift+3 on a Mac; PrintScreen on a PC], then import the image into PowerPoint, where I allow it to fill up the entire screen surface; then add arrows and stuff on top of the image, using also the various animation tools of PowerPoint , and finally I use _Screenflow_ again to record the animation as I play it as a PowerPoint presentation on my laptop. I hope my explanation makes sense to you (?). Most of my transitions were also made in PowerPoint, while some were made in Screenflow, which actually has a quite fascinating _transition repertoire_. I always do the post-record editing of my videos in _Final Cut Pro_, where I also add my comments, and stuff like "corner video clips" etc. :-)
You can't. The moment you move the cursor away from the "textbox", the text becomes embedded into the bitmap. If you know you'll have to change the text in an image at some future time, it's wise to save to a copy of the image without any text on it. Personally, I rearly add text to an image in Paint; whenever I need to put some text onto an image, I usually import the picture in PowerPoint and then add the text in PowerPoint, before I save the picture with the needed text as a .tiff-image or a .jpeg-image directly from PowerPoint. Then I always have the opportunity to alter the text, or move it around on the picture whenever I like, and just save a new copy whenever it suits me, whereas the original is kept in the .pptx-file...
Watched these videos last night. Forgot to subscribe. Spent hours, today, looking for you, Atle. Really angry to run across a video producer who's lifted this one flag tutorial and is presenting it as his own work. I tried to report the video. No luck.
grace jurss There are a few Microsoft programs that I simply cannot do without. One of them is Paint, and an even more important one to me is PowerPoint. On the other hand, I prefer MacOS, mainly because of the security offered by Unix systems, but I also prefer many of their programs; when it comes to video editing, for instance, I just love _Final Cut Pro_. The solution for me, therefore, has been to buy _Parallels Desktop_, a program that enables you to install and run windows on a Mac. I currently have Windows 7 on my Mac, because I haven't had any need to upgrade to a newer version. Parallels Desktop is awesome. You might choose to run Windows in _fullscreen mode_, which makes the Mac look just like a Windows computer; or you may choose to run it in _coherence mode_, then it looks as if the Windows programs that you're running are just a few more Apple applications...
Very clear voice, Nice presentation - thank you. ♥♥♥♥

How did you add animations TO your videos??

if we write a text in paint and later we want to edit it.how we do this?
You can't. The moment you move the cursor away from the "textbox", the text becomes embedded into the bitmap.
