    Hey guy, THANK YOU so much. I am trying to learn to draw and create art for animation which I am also trying to learn. Expensive Drawing apps are well too expensive and very difficult to learn. MS Paint appears to fit my needs perfectly and your fantastic tutorials are going to get me creating some fun animation much more quickly. I am doing this as a hobby and don't need to spend my life savings on creating characters and props. Thank you again. I hope you have made many more tutorials and the force is with you. I'll be watching all your video's

    Thank you so much for this series of videos. It is so helpful as I am trying to work on a powerpoint advocating ultrasound curriculum in Geriatric MD and Advanced practice programs in the USA. You are very clear and efficient in your demonstrations.

      Diane Iverson Thank you very much for such a kind comment! I'm happy you find my videos useful! I guess you've seen my PowerPoint tutorials also, and not just my Paint tutorials... It's kind of cool that my tutorials are of help for someone working in the fields of medicine and health care, especially since that's where I originally developed my own skill in the use of PowerPoint...

    This is very excellent!! Thank you! I hope you are still getting views, and responding, as I'd like to use your method to start with a plan-view map (floor view) of the inside of a building, and then ADD items OUTSIDE that floor view. How could I 'expand' the drawing space in paint from the original drawing to allow for adding additional drawn elements? (I'm not looking to expand the drawing itself, just the space for and outside the original drawing, to add things to it outside it.)

    Dear friends! I just uploaded an improved version of my RUclips video _How to Use a Photo as a Template for a Drawing in MS Paint_. Make a Simple Drawing in MS Paint. The video demonstrates how you may use Microsoft's Paint to draw an image upon a photo, using the photo as a template for your drawing; and then make the underlying photo disappear in magic-like manner, so that only the drawing is retained. I first uploaded the original version of this film in June 2012, and it now has a little more than 1000 views, and also 3 "likes" and 0 "dislikes" on RUclips. Personally, I haven't been satisfied with the old version, however. I think the movie is a bit lousy, and I speak all to slowly in it, and therefore, I decided to make this *new and improved version*. Enjoy!

      Thanks, Tracey Wotton! I intend to upload the next video in this series this afternoon or evening. It has taken me much more time to make it than what I anticipated, but I think it's become pretty good by now. :-)

    prntscr.com/9hznrz oh god, yea I tried it on a base and this happened....

    • @AtleSolholm
      @AtleSolholm  8 лет назад

      +catlove67 It seems like something went wrong when you performed _step 3_ to remove the white from the image (watch from 2:19 on the video). It's important 1) to cut out the entire image, 2) to add a non-white color to the remaining white background 3) to paste the image back on top of this color, but 4) remember white _must_ be selected as _color 2_ as you perform the paste-in, and 5) _transparent selection_ must be chosen in the _select menu_ at the time you paste the image back onto the new background color.

      I did it all but it might be because I used a base.

    • @AtleSolholm

      It could be the reason, but then it ought to work if you start out with first saving the image as a .tif-image or as a bitmap image before you start performing the various steps described in the video.
