I love how Dytastic made fun of people on both sides of this argument.
I will say that In a time where brand images are being conformed to market trends (like the Mustang's adopted cousin), I find it refreshing that there's at least one company out there doing the opposite
Yeah... No. This "both sides" nonsense that everyone adopted lately is what's making us go nowhere but backwards. It's very clear what side is being taken here.
Lol

Wow, laughing myself to death, YEAH GO FULL ELECTRIC EVEN WHEN YOU DONT HAVE TO, SET TRENDS DODGE. Go touch grass kid, you don't speak for us.

What we want is an open source ev, no proprietary parts, easy owner repair and modification, and the same computer the engineers use to program the thing. No lockout screens, no pay walls, let me re-program my car the way I want.
Amen brother. Open source, Linux automotive computer and right to repair. :)
Greed won't allow that.
Thats why you get android instead of apple and pc instead of mac
Linux is for nerds tho
But evs are made for control. They want to control where and when you can drive your cars, and it's only possible for ev
That won't happen. Even in the last decade with ICE cars, there's been too much proprietary shit. Going electric just gives them even more of an excuse to do it that way. And even if it does happen, it ain't gonna be cheap.
I love this! Dodge needs to pay attention. Ford is introducing a newer version of the Mustang in 2024 that is still gas powered. Great job on this presentation!
They didn’t say anything bad about it being an EV
Ford also called the Mach E a Mustang.
@@alankingchiu . Yeah, they are not doing real well with Nameplates lately. We would of all been happy if they just called it the Mach E and left Mustang out of it all together
@@matthewdouglass9564 to be fair the Mach E being electric and selling well is the reason the Mustang kept its V8. Dodge has to go EV since they don’t even have a hybrid in the current lineup, the Mach E kickstarted Ford’s EV push and basically gave them a slide to keep the Mustang a V8 for now.
@@danielvisintainer3352 Hard pill for some to swallow but you do have a point.

Wait... Isn't the land of the free supposed to let the owner choose whether to have the sound on or off?

My boss bought his first EV. It's like Stellantis is actively TRYING to kill the Dodge brand. Muscle cars? NAH SON, NANOMACHINES.... err, all wheel drive EV's.
THEY HARDEN IN RESPONSE TO PHYSICAL TRAUMA
you get it
yeah cause environmental regulations are costing them profits making it hard for the muscle car to survive, and we are getting more and more environmental regulation
Actually Dodge has been on the decline for a while. They have the reputation of making hard, loud AF V8s, but that doesn’t mean a thing if it doesn’t translate to sales.
With the industry shifting to EVs and the general consumer shifting away from large NA V8s to turbo 4-cylinders, there’s not a market big enough to sustain Dodge. Their only options are either try to make the jump to EVs to survive or meet the same faith that Pontiac did.
@@ThatLaloBoy I'm glad they are making the jump to EVs honestly, even the electric charger they showcased is miles better than any Tesla or other EV I've seen so far. I have optimism that Dodge will continue to improve them.

Also if I'm not mistaken it has 3 speeds ? Sounds like a "here there gone" type of situation, shouldn't lack the juice at the top end like teslas, you can still have the fun of shifting, and the stupid low torque of an EV.
But yes, stupid sounds, permanent awd, all that makes it quite a ridiculous car.
If there's not 3 pedals you aren't shifting kiddo. You are playing pretend.

they really didn’t have to do this at all, they’re an American company, if an Asian or European company did it I would understand, but America is never gonna ban combustion engines(California doesn’t count, they ban everything fun), I hope they get their deserved failure

That is Exactly how I feel about new EV Charger. First it was Not Mustang Mach E (AWD, electrical crossover), Now this, AWD half sedan, half coupe and half Sportback thing. There is a natural noise harmony, vibrating and shaking that people get from 5.7, 6.4 and supercharged 6.2. You cannot replicate all that with electrical cars, it is physically impossible, no matter how hard you try.
Thank fuck it wasn't a crossover. They made it that weird sedan-coupe thing because they do plan on making it in a 2-door and 4-door variant.
