Activists storm Tesla gigafactory in Germany in protest over expansion plans

- Hundreds of left-wing activists have stormed Tesla’s Berlin gigafactory after overwhelming local police.
Protestors wearing blue baseball caps and face coverings broke through lines of police who failed to stop them despite using pepper spray.
Local reports said there had been several arrests, while injured protestors and police officers were treated by paramedics.

Not exactly. When Berlin wall in Germany fell those who were on Russian side of wall were Left leaning anti capitalists. They were also against privatisation of public property. So right now Elon Musk expanding it's capitalist factory into their territory, expanding into a forest zone and diverting more water away from the locals to the factory is seen more of a Provocation. It's that simple.

People are often confused, or are unable to understand why do these protests occure. How electric cars can be bad for our planet?
Here is how: mining lithium that is necessary for making batteries is utterly devastating for countries that are minig it. The acids used for lithium extraction ruin the ecosystem of the place where the mine is. Company that made fortune mining different tings (Rio Tinto, for example) left the trail of ruin, poverty, hunger, health issues in many, many countries. Mostly, they prey on impoverished countries in Africa, South America. Now they are trying to mine in Balcan peninsula. Basically, everywhere where there is a corrupt government there is a possibility for them to infiltrate. Portugal successfuly fought them off last year, and I cannot be happier for the courage of Portuguese people.
Unnecessary devastation of nature that affects not only the coutry minig, but also the countries in that region should be banned, especially since the natrium batteries are an option to the lithium ones. Basically, mining companies are trying to make proffit, no matter of the cost, till their product is no longer in demand. It is not the left wing thing. It's a humanity thing.

There’s a perfect balance here and here is how. Just have these protestors come and help move the trees to a little higher elevation or further away from the roadmap. If they have time to waste on attacking why not have time to be helpful. Maybe Tesla will consider hiring some of them who are little educated and humanly.

Europe is weird right now. I visited not too long ago. Haha the historic sights i went to were shut down due to vandalism. My local friends, who are a bit left leaning, even thought it was nuts. 😅 They have sooo many immigrant stabbings it's kept under wraps pretty well though.

This is the sort of energy that should be directed at the fossil fuel industry... but instead of doing this at an oil company headquarters, oil fields, gas fields, coal mines, coal power plant, or even petrol vehicle factory... they target an EV factory.
