Horrible that innocent people had to have their lives ruined. If this would happen in the US the compensation would go into the millions - each. These poor victims will probably only get to listen to this "testimony" without receiving any compensation worth mentioning.
@yuglesstube how much each maximum? A few quid will never make up for a reputation lost. Does UK shell out enough to compensate for a career/life destroyed?
@@markhamburger5587 this amount can be quantified. Direct loss, indirect loss. Loss of reputation. Unjustified confinement. Pain and suffering. Deterrence. The amounts could be quite large, particularly if a jury rules that restitution must be made. This does not include the penalties for clear malfeasance and deception. And legal costs, of course. Not necessarily the responsibility of the Corporation.
there has been compensation already and a lot went to the lawyers. The amount that was split between the spm equated to tens of thousands only I think maybe a few 100 thousand
At 4.59 regarding the report lawyer Susan Crichton wrote but Vennells presented is very telling. Of course Vennells would never misrepresent to the board or tweak that report would she?
She is incapable of defining 'systemic'. Instead she 'defines' it by saying in effect, that which is systemic. She is floundering. What was her salary, plus bonuses? He has to define the word for her.
such an amazing thing. Hundreds of people framed yet no post office leader or lawyer did anything wrong.
Looking & listening to this viper makes my blood boil 😊

I disagree. There has been actual harm done to many, and this will be litigated.
Compensation orders will be issued.
