I love how it does what spectacular spider-man did and make it so that the suit slowly starts getting more alien like and creepy, as it corrupts peter more.
This game was a PERFECT Spider-Man movie. Spectacular and Ultimate Spiderman was brilliantly honoured.

I love how this version of the symbiote brings to surface all of Peter’s insecurities. It brings a whole new level to it. It’s like the symbiote is feeding on those insecurities, intensifying those feelings, and then subtly telling Peter than with it he doesn’t need to feel those things anymore. I absolutely love it
The symbiote in this game is straight up an emotional manipulator and I love the way it’s written.
Absolutely, but the caveat is that the symbiote is telling Peter that he doesn’t need to feel those things any more, so long as he keeps wearing the suit. Otherwise, he’s no good. Later, with the help of Miles, MJ and Li, he realises that he doesn’t need to feel those things based on the strength of his character.
People mentioned lots of times how this version reminded them of spectacular Spider-Man. So there's another connection- while tearing off the symbiote peter mentioned how it feeds off of negative emotions. So that might be why it was attracted to peter in the game
As much as I love this version of black suit Spider-Man, I wish we got more interactions between him and other villains. We never saw him chase shocker to the ends of the earth 😢

I love how Harry beat Kraven even before Peter got the symbiote. He just didn't stick around to kill Kraven
I thought it was good. Kraven wanted the ultimate hunt and got it.
To me it was almost foreshadowing that Harry was gonna kill kraven.
That wasn’t even close to his ultimate hunt
Kraven only got his ultimate hunt by fighting harry in the venom form and died at the hands of harry osborn
I'm a big fan of the first few missions where Peter has the symbiote. He's still quippy Spider-Man for the most part, but he's starting to taste the power and you can see small signs of corruption immediately. He even quips to the guy he brutally tossed through the window.
Symbiote bonded with Peter Parker become corrupted and then attacked everyone..
Even right from the get go when he said “this feels good” his voice changed alot
I think that was less of a quip, more of an awkward, veiled apology. 😅
When Peter tossed that guy out the window he says “that wasn’t me” it was venom who was in control for a brief second
Throughout the game you notice him growing more and more unhinged and angry. I think these smaller details really help to show just how much of an effect the symbiote's having on him.
when peter said "destroy us?" chills literally ran down my spine. that whole scene was terrifyingly amazing. love this game

Norman can't let Harry go on and he refuses to not do something but his willingness tk take risks on things he doesn't know about caused resentment from his son. Only thing it seems Norman cared about from Harry's perspective is was he strong and healthy. Nothing about losing the Emily may foundation or caring about his dream to heal the world. Just be healthy and strong and Harry wanted more than that and to not just feel useless because of the disease
I love the suit design change after venom makes contact with the meteorite. It looks PERFECT.
The motor reminded it why it was here...to grow and expand until everything...is...VENOM.

@@dropkick3024Actually all symbiotes are a part of Knull as a hivemind. It's not until they lose contact with the hivemind that they become a blank slate that takes on traits of its host. As such, Venom likely didn't think anything.
@dutchvanderlinde248 Sorry what I mean to say is that we see that Conners used the particle thing to destroy most of what remained of the metor given the info we learn in his secret base. So I feel like Symbiote saw this and thought this because keep in mind this rock was creating Symbiote it didn't have Symbiote's in it this probably was the same rock Knull used to create the first Symbiote. I mean it isn't too far fetch given it could have been changed to be a rock instead or this was a copy of the thing that created the Symbiotes

I love the way the Venom symbiote is written. Apparently Yuri researched people who were suffering with addiction for the role and it works so well. Venom manipulates him into thinking he’s better with it, it imprisons him, sends him down a spiral. Venom, and the other symbiotes for that matter, don’t get enough credit for basically being body-snatching alien parasites. Like later on with Harry, Venom convinces him that healing the world is making everyone into a Symbiote. Manipulating him into hearing his mother’s voice. Using him as a means to an end. Sorry for being all over the place with this, I’m on an iPad and it’s 1:45 AM.
I don't even want to imagine FEH releasing a Fallen Marth with that voice. I know it's not possible, but…

Harry is kinda the same way too with the addiction comparison. When we see him with the suit, he’s happy, almost like he’s on a high. And when he sees Peter is Spider-Man, he’s even happier and is all to willing to risk his life without second thought, like someone chasing thrills. When he loses the suit, he becomes more paranoid and looking for something to do, wanting it back not because it’s saving his life, but because it feels good, not unlike someone going through withdrawal. And when he does get it back… well, he doesn’t realize the damage it, and he, have caused until it’s too late.

One thing to note is that during the Lizard Chase sequence. Peter did not bother going out of his way to make sure people were safe from the Lizards tyranny, the only thing he did was faintly shout "People get back" like thats going to do anything 😂. He also seemed more concerened about the police being there rather than the destruction the Lizard was causing. This is very uncharacteristic of Peter as in the other Insominac Spider Man games, even during chase scenes he would try to keep as many people safe as possible while pursing the target. But here it seems as if that didnt matter. It shows that the symbiote was slowly making Peter more apathetic to everyone around him, and making his personal goals top priority.
True. But notice how Peter still had a human side to him? And that after touching the Knull's rock it feels like the symbiote was more aggresive ?
What about the part where he kills those hunters in the truck during that chase? Bro tboned the vehicles and they blew up. No way they were alive after that.
I almost missed that part when I just realized a train got derailed during the chase.

Honestly, the way this game handled Peter's shift in behavior as the symbiote corrupted him more and more was absolutely amazing.
They managed to make it feel off but at the same time not totally out of character.
He still quips, but his quips get more and more brutal and almost cruel, and he starts hinking less and less like he was before (clear example is the Lizard chase: he still does chase him, but he clearly does not give a damn about the destruction he is causing and he gets pissed at the police for just doing their job).
I love this game.
The way peter screams "WHERE!" and pulls up a random truck just gives me goosebumps so much

yeah me too. Thing is, SM3 the movie came out 2007. At the time CGI was still in development. So they took the fabric road. But still the Raimi suit looks bad ass.

Very true. I guess it has a lot to do with the aesthetics of the Raimi Trilogy. It has a very unique, realistic style. A over the top Symbiote abilities in the black suit, would not fit that well into the Raimi Spider man world. I mean im fine with it. Spider man 3 black suit looks very cool even its simple recolor with a minimal changes like the spider logo, and that he is more masculine. In the behind the scenes of spider man 3, there are some footage, where you can see that they tried the original classic comic look of the black suit. But it didn't looked right.
In my opinion insomniacs Spider Man 2 Black Suit is by far the best looking Symbiote Suit we got. It looks like a real Alien, and all the Symbiote Abilities are believable because of how the suit looks. Extremely wet, shinny and alien. @@Max-eu9fp
I love how to looks more like combat armor than a suit. Note the plate look on the abdomen area and the mask looking like those milita armored mask.
I definitely think the peak of the game was from when Peter gets the symbiote suit to when he gets rid of it. And he’s such a badass with it! When he started slaying everyone when he first got it, I was like O.o

It's easy to see how someone could get addicted to the symbiote. The rush of power I got during the "Where is Spider-Man?!" Part is infectious and all I'm doing is pushing buttons. Imagine actually tearing armies apart effortlessly like that.

I love that they took cues from both Spider-Man the Animated Series and Spectacular Spider-Man. The symbiote can allow Peter to change into any outfit he chooses and the suit itself changes over time. The suit design also looks very old school yet organic and new.

Kraven stabbed him in a vital organ with a big machete, then broke off the blade so that no one could pull it out... at least no one human. THEN Kraven threw Peter through a glass dome and across several yards with Peter landing on his back on a hard surface
@@neo-warkid4edwards222 Taking it out would be just worse, the blade is putting pressure on the wound, not allowing blood to come out quickly but rather slowly. If yoi get stabbed, the last thing you should do is taking out the blade, you'd just die quicker.
