@ZNOLMT well a v8 on it's own makes around upwards of 350 hp with 50 hp boost from the turbos i'm guessing. those are probably low pressure turbos, to limit turbo lag, as well as twin turbos will not necessarily grant double the power, it's all just to limit turbo lag. IMO
@ZNOLMT Why it needs twin turbos to make 402 HP? Because it has a rather low engine displacement with its 4.6l... and 402 HP from just 4.6l is actually not bad. Chevrolet needs a massive 6.2l V8 to get 430 HP in the Corvette. Besides that, as that other dude already said, both turbos are probably very low pressure to limit turbo lag.
@ratmtbola Ah, I was unaware that this was a 4.6l. How very misleading. I assumed it was a 5.5l (hence the 550 nameplate), much like the current cls550 which uses an NA 5.5l. 402 isn't so bad I guess. I just think it's a little odd. Some examples of other cars that make more power with similar displacement and no turbos: 402 HP isn't too bad for a 4.6l then i suppose. Although the Mustang's 5.0l makes 412, Aston Martin's 4.7l makes 420, and Audi's 4.2l makes over 400 as well.
@manbearpigonabike I suppose. It just seems like a very low amount of power, for such a complex setup, especially considering the price range of this car. Most V8 cars nowadays get more than 400 HP without the need for turbos. Many with a lower displacement than this car, and reasonable mileage. Turbo setups are often expensive to manufacture. This seems like a waste. And the boost must be VERY low for only a 50 HP gain. If they didn't want turbo lag .. why use turbos at all?
the front of this car is perfect... the back though is TERRIBLE. hated the original CLS, but i must say even though i don't like the back of this 1 at all, i kinda still like it overall.
One of the nicest sedans around.

I am not in love with the exterior so much, but as always Benz is always improving its interior..
@Masterchief4112 He knows that.... The Merecedes-Benz emblem is sometimes referred to as a or the three pointed star or just a star.
@TheNick92UK A and B class both aren't sold in the US ;) That makes the C class the entry level Mercedes.
Kelsey, what kind of car do you drive?
@TranceHereAndThere - maybe a Prius, he looks rather reserved.
@ZNOLMT Well ... the Mercs turbos are VERY low pressure then, lol.
The headlamps are like Stewie's eyes
i like it
Everyone is bashing this car, I would still choose it over all of its competitors.

yeah....pretty nice!
why are they adding cut line in every car now!
So you're saying that for $70,000 you get a Benz with 402 horsepower? Why not get the SRT 300? It's $20,000 less and 70 more horsepower. Dr. you fail.
How old is Kelsey Mays? 42?

@JOHNINCOLUMBUS i think he has a beetle lol
wow wtf? Why does a v8 need twin turbos to make 402 HP ??
Nice video Kelsey. How do you remain so composed considering your divorce to Camille?
@markmarshall39 - You're probably right, he certainly doesn't look like a Mercedes guy.
mmm I don't know.
I bet its like $400 to replace a bulb.
@TheNick92UK herpa derpa durrrr this is america not the uk!!!! we don't get those cars
