Bruce Lee was super human. Been a fan of his since I was a kid.
Bruce was a perfectionist , he filmed for hours only for a scene of a few seconds. He was so fast that he had to slow down so that the camera could film the movie.

The scene of Bruce twirling the nunchaku was actually in slow-motion. By that point, even though he had only just learned how to use the weapon off his friend Dan Inosanto the preceding year, for _Fist of Fury,_ by this point he was so proficient with them that he was too fast for the camera at its regular speed setting.
Wow, that's impressive! I have heard from a few people that Bruce's movements in general was so darn fast that often in scenes, they had to slow down the footage/ask him to purposely move slower 😅

In an interview he said that scene where Bruce hits him with the stick before picking up the two sticks was him, and the one where his hair is pulled, as Jose said. So they used him twice because his back was turned on one, so nobody would see it was him twice. Also, when bruce hit him with that stick, he actually accidentally hit him. Bruce stayed in character until they yelled "cut". Then he ran over and grabbed Jackie Chan and "held me in his arms" :-) You should check out that interview with Jackie Chan. Love your channel, by the way.

@@yellowberrio Well, the nunchuck's inventor is unknown. However, according to what I dug up, the nunchucks were used during the Samurai Age in Japan and other parts of Asia. They were popularized by Bruce Lee himself and his martial arts student (and teacher to him of Filipino martial arts) Dan Inosanto, who introduced this weapon to the actor.
Now, the origin of nunchaku is unclear: allegedly adapted by Okinawan farmers from a non-weapon rice-flail implement for threshing rice. It was not a historically popular weapon because it was ineffective against the most widely used weapons of that time such as samurai swords and naginata, and few historical techniques for its use still survive.
Bruce did however, invent the art of *Jeet Kune Do,* which is a philosophy especially for Street Fights. Bruce applied Jeet Kune Do to create his own martial arts style called Jun Fan Gung Fu which is mixed martial arts. This form "The way of the intercepting fist" in Cantonese, abbreviated JKD, is a hybrid philosophy of martial arts heavily influenced by the personal philosophy and experiences of Bruce Lee. Lee founded the system on July 9, 1967, referring to it as "non-classical", suggesting that it is a formless form of Chinese Kung Fu. Unlike more traditional martial arts, Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned and is a philosophy with guiding ideas. Named for the Wing Chun concept of interception or attacking when one's opponent is about to attack, Jeet Kune Do's practitioners believe in minimal effort with maximum effect and extreme speed.
During January 10, 1996, the Bruce Lee Foundation decided to use the name Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do to refer to the martial arts system which Lee founded; "Jun Fan" being Lee's Chinese given name.
It is referenced in the screenplay of the 1973 Warner Brothers film Enter the Dragon, when Lee is asked, "What's your style?", he replies, "My style?...You can call it *the art of fighting without fighting."* Sounds interesting to me 😎

hey YellowBerrio, sorry I took so long to get back here, work's been crazy this year. Anyway I thought I'd come on this video since this scene was one of my favorites. This film, Enter The Dragon was the first to feature an Asian as a strong leading man, a movie made in Hollywood for about $850,000 and went on to gross worldwide $350,000,000 (adjusted today for inflation would be more than a billion dollars) which made it one of the highest grossing movies of all time and opened the door for other Asian men (and women) to be leading characters in a movie. Sadly Bruce died a month before its release so never got to see the success he would become. To this day Bruce Lee remains the most popular martial artist of all time, by far, and was the inspiration of some of the video game characters you see in many video games. There's only one Bruce, his legacy will live forever, he died before I was born but the influence he had on my life I can't even describe. The Man Who is Running and controlling the island is Mr Han . It's suppose to be a martial art tournament but it was a front. Mr Han was into drugs and other stuff. Bruce Lee is Chinese American. Nov 27,1940...July 20 , 1973. He was 32 yrs old. He died before Enter the Dragon was release in the states.. Did you watch the other fights .. Mr Williams vs Mr Han, Parsons vs Williams, Bolo vs Guards, Sun lin vs Guards..

Bruce Lee was American as he was born in San Francisco and had dual American and Chinese Citizenship. Also Bruce Lee wasn't 100% Chinese. His Mother, Grace Ho was of Eurasian decent, her father was Chinese but her mother was English. Also Bruce Lee came from a very prestigious family on his mother's side, they could be compared to the Kennedy or Rockefeller families. For example, Bruce's great uncle Sir Robert Ho Tung who was of Dutch Jewish and Chinese decent was at the age of 35 the richest man in Hong Kong at the time he lived, he was also heavily into politics and is known for having funded Sun Yat-sen's revolution to overthrow the last Imperial dynasty in China.

Jackie Chan grabs Bruce Lee at 1:40 and gets his neck broken. A footnote: the reason Bruce Lee takes his shirt off in his movies is because it makes it difficult for his opponents to grab him. He gets sweaty and hard to grab, but he grabs his opponents by their clothing and tosses them around and controls them easily....And of course he wanted to show off his physique as well.
Yeah I didn't know it then when I recorded this reaction. I've always thought Bruce takes off his clothes to either show off his physique or to show his opponents that he means business, like ya should be scared of what's gonna be coming at ya 😆 But yea you're right, lots of people have since then mentioned to me the true reason.

Jackie looked quite different back then, when he was "just another stuntman" (he had also doubled the Japanese actor playing the main villain in _Fist of Fury,_ which Bruce Lee had shot under the direction of Lo Wei previously). The cosmetic surgery that Lo Wei organised for him, to make his eyes more "open", was not until 1976.
Bruce was so impressed with Jackie's stuntwork that he wanted him in future projects, but sadly Bruce's death prevented him from being able to honour this offer.

Mine actually looks really crappy, low resolution and poor quality compared to most reaction videos out there. I see a lot of other people's reaction videos and their quality is TONS better than mine lol. Oh I didn't know you do YT too. yes that was jackie chan who grabbbd bruce also it was him when bruce lee attacked the last guy when he hit him withe the stick it was also jackie when bruce attacked him with the nunchuk he fell into the water. also when u mention bruce lee expressions he does that because he used to have a saying honestly expressing yourself thats what hes doing in all his fights he does something like that and i think there is only him that knows whats going on when he does that the person he portrayed in his movies was a lot like how he really was he also had a humorous side to him. he liked to keep it very real instead of just doing a fight scene just so it looks good bruce was going to put Jackie in his other movies but he died.
Yeah everything just happened so fast that I could barely make out Jackie Chan's face. Like only during that part when he latched onto Bruce's back was Jackie's face more obvious and seeable. Yeah I noticed that, of nearly every clip that I've watched of him, he does those facial expressions. To me, I kinda thought he does it to try to intimidate his opponents. And yeah I've heard about that, that he's very true to character, how Bruce is portrayed in the movies really do resemble how he's like in real life. Yeah that sucks that Bruce died so young, what a pity.

Sweetheart, that whole segment came from the movie "Enter The Dragon"...PLEASE WATCH THE ENTIRE MOVIE so you can put all of the features in the scene their proper context and not sound SOOOO naive....PLEASE!!?? What makes this so classic and such an Iconic scene is the realistic choreography which was staged entirely by Bruce Lee himself...it was the first time in Hollywood and Hong Kong history that a filmed Martial Arts movie had depicted that level of realism of martial arts hand to hand combat...And because Bruce had such an uncanny sense of timing, he was able to communicate what would be far and away a more entertaining execution of the genre...to really get it, you should watch some of the older kung-fu films (The 5 Fingers of Death comes to mind) and then watch Enter The Dragon in it's entirety..then compare which one you enjoy more...THEN you'll get it....I think..😊
