So I misunderstood Iso to begin with! The Iso buff is actually kinda scary for ranked, pro play still needs more I would guess but i thought you still needed a kill first, getting a free shield is kinda poggies if you wanna play him.

Miniboo will FRY with the Neon buffs, fucking hell...
What set miniboo apart from other neon is his stun. Stun going from 2 to 1 might hurt in a competitive environment.
@@s2-railgun718Nah, he used his stuns to clear common angles, not really to take a fight too often. He won his fights normally through his slide alone. Now he has 2 and is more accurate while sliding. He WILL fry.
The High Gear (E) strafe buff is not an increase in her speed, it just makes her more agile. Originally when you activated her Sprint the speed boost would apply when she moves forward, but if you were to strafe (pressing A or D) you would only move at normal agent speed

The neon buffs are 100% to compete with Jett and Raze entry. that will be interesting to see in pro play
Two slides also means you can avoid the utilty on the ground better which was what Neon struggled with compared to the other two (and Yoru)

Iso too, you no longer need to be afraid of peeking an op. Reyna becomes more mobile as well in a way. While reducing Raze's mobility slightly since she's already so good in other aspects (scouting areas, cleaning corners and dealing damage)
Raze satchels will move you about 20% less / slower horizontally according to penguin on the Plat Chat interview

Well at least her satchel tech wasn't that crazy, I heard one suggestion that was removing the satchel ability to move enemy players. This sounded like a reasonable idea to me but we'll see
So this practically means that raze won't be able to double satchel to the wall top of ascent a main anymore (where omen normally puts one way) when she jumps from generator, am I right?
like it is to be expected that when velocity is decreased, the distance should be as well... or is it merely the velocity that they pertain to?

My idea for the Reyna change is that it rewards you for planning your route instead of being an instinct demon.
Her heal is less, so she can’t just stay in the fight and keep healing off of isolated picks (low-mid ranks), BUT she keeps the heal now so she can back away after one pick with a team advantage.
Her dismiss now takes less time, which means she can’t stall for teammates or psyche out the enemy for long (again, this is a low-mid rank thing). HOWEVER, if you have a plan or know the map well, you can still get back to where you usually retreat, but FASTER.
Does this do much? Uh, I can’t really say, but I can definitely SEE what the vision is. How it all goes down is up to the players, I guess. Most of them will just view it as a nerf, since they can’t heal as effectively. HOWEVER, the empress change is lowkey terrifying in a 1v1 because you can’t just stall her out on her ult, and you have to play Reyna’s game.
I was also thinking that the increased speed, if you are smart, could open up opportunities for actual Reyna entry fragging. If Reyna gets a pick off a choke point, her team can lob utility and she can dismiss into site really quickly before the enemy team can really mount a response, but idk how well this would actually work.
So basically the Reyna Changes make it harder to close down on her after dismissing which is mainly a buff for pro play and not as much in ranked and the heal was also stronger in ranked, thats the thought behind it
Reyna overall is buffed I feel. The Overheal change is understandable, but for the most part, isn't a massive nerf. Now having infinite Empress, Increased Dismiss and permanent overhealth lol that's a lot.
Correct me if im wrong but doesn't this make cypher even more meta considering the fact that he can just destroy any neon trying to entry
Yes but also don't forget they nerfed the slow on his trips and Neon now has much more survivability with the slides and speed increase. Like I do think Cypher still counters her but I don't think it's going to be THAT bad but I could be wrong.
Double duelist *exists*
Imagine a raze tries double blast packing into site but you accidentally spray the 2nd blast pack while trying to shoot the raze, detonating it for no knockback and the raze goes nowhere because of the change.
I have never seen that happen since the second satchel is usually impossible to shoot because Raze is already mid air and most raze players insta explode the satchel
@@speedforce8970as a raze main it has happened to me before but it’s likely impossible to do intentionally
there is a situation that u shoot the 1sf satchel first so raze is just looking down lol
@@speedforce8970 Good raze players will often explicitly slightly delay the 2nd satchel explosion to give themselves better horizontal velocity (something they need to do EVEN MORE with the nerf)
Before if you shot the blastpack here it would just detonate early and send them up. Now it just wont propel them at all.
@@Spark31Gaming as a raze main, I don't delay the satchel explosion, I delay throwing the satchel itself while I am midair depending on where I am going. Besides, what your comment is about doesn't even make much sense, even if they did shoot it, they likely would not be knocked back anyways since raze is in mid air so the knock back would already be minimal. It really doesn't make a difference and is definitely not the concerning thing about this. The concern would be peeking with a op and throwing a satchel to your side and exploding it to get out which might be tougher now

raze horizontal velocity was nerfed by approx 20% according to the dev
neon is gonna get nerfed so fast. neon was a high skill ceiling agent who was rarely played at a high level and very few pros got anywhere near her ceiling. she’s so much more accessible now for duelists that would flex to her instead of maining her and she will be terrifying.
she will be strong but i think jett and raze still will be able to keep up and compete, she is still going to be a difficult agent to play
everyone gold and below will instalock neon and run around for the whole round now
not really. One major thing to consider as well will be the ULTIMATE. Jett and Raze's still provide way more value than Neon's. If anything, what they need to nerf (if really needed at some point) about neon is her ultimate because it's a ranked stomper while being at the same caliber as omen's ult in pro play.

Not at all, yes she had a high ceiling for her mobility but in terms of team value she just doesnt compare to Raze or Jett as a complete package
I feel like they will hold off on any big raze nerfs until after champs, and they probably want to see how these neon buffs will shake up the duelist meta and affect raze anyways
My though on how reyna is abit better for pro play is now she will be able to play it slow because she isnt punished if she doesnt peek enemy since she has ult active, now you can do what ever slow play since ult is always there. you can also play it slow since that 50 shield will stay there even if devour runs out.
Since raze depends on momentum, they cant put out numbers as they all change w distance, angle, momentum, timing…. Im guessing it will be abt half less than before
As an aspiring neon one trick, the changes are great. 2 stuns was great but the 1 stun feels way trickier. Same for the 2 slides. I feel like maybe they could've given neon's wall damage but with the changes she's already received it would be too much. Now we could also see more cypher as a result. Finally, I feel like they could change that the ult ticks even when your gun is out but it could be a "balance" in a way as it makes the ult trickier to use? Either way, I'm excited to play the new meta, since most pro play with neon before has been fracture, pearl and I guess Miniboo's Neon on Lotus.
I was thinking this and I don't play neon that much but her stuns were meh in terms of both delay and entry (just stuns in general are the worst debuff). Giving her one stun like this seems fine but yea the Wall doing some damage would've been a nice change especially if it could break util.
Neon's wall has damage when she was released I forgot the reason why it was removed tho

I think riot is not done with neon yet, they will prolly adjust neon more after seeing how they changes play out

She can now outrun KJ utility and the two slides is actually huge for surviving. The verticality that the other two have is strong but increasing Neon's horizontal movement to this extent in a way puts her on par with them (and since her movement is a passive it does make her better on Defense in many ways)
@@funkycrawler619We're already at Cypher domination cause Kj got nerfed so hard with her turret 💀 so the buff is still bad but since it's proplay so I'm guessing they will have a lineup for the cypher trip
9:03 I don't know if you just skipped reading it or if you missread it. Personally I would figure those raze changes are very appropriate for making her less reliable when doing stuff on her own. They don't especially want to make her bad/do a highly meaningful nerf towards her pro prowess. Just discourage a bit further the solo plays like satcheling up ramp on split without any flash to back it up. It's a stupid play that shouldn't work 90% of the time, but both because of her velocity (that good raze players can get) and the enemies not hearing the initial satchel, or neither satchel, until she's all of a sudden on top of them; those kind of plays were still prevalent, more so in ranked of course but you saw it a tad too often imo in pro as well.

That aimlab thing helped my flick to be so crazy💀 there's this one time I ult and delayed the fight a bit longer then after the ult, The enemy reyna was behind me but I managed to flick the s*it out of her😂
the neon buffs might increase pick rates for other agents like deadlock who is the perfect anti for neon
Every Sentinel agent has a rechargeable ability except for Deadlock. Here's hoping for rechargeable Sonic Sensors for Deadlock!

Unpopular opinion, neon stun should deal little damage so she can at least have some utility to break sentinel utility herself.

Raze slow is pretty big, it’s like a third of your tota distance gone
Having Empress Reyna play with the team's pacing can open so many possibilities.
I honestly think they should adjust the iso shield slightly so that it has 35 hp but doesn't affect the actual hp of the player (like the shield would still need to break to take damage), wouldn't be a huge buff as it would still work as intended on rifles and stuff like that, but would be able to take an extra bullet through walls or against pistols, one of the worst things as iso is that the shield can break to a 2 damage spam through a wall. Could also change the hp to whatever dmg the bulldog does but idk that one off the top of my head
I think the point is that it absorbs one shot no matter the kind. There’s strategy oriented around that like being able to straight up tank an op or shotgun shot while also getting that extra advantage in rifle/pistol gunfights. Who knows I could be wrong though maybe that’s a future change 😊
@@saarang7572 I get what you're saying, but the shield is complete ass when most of the time it's randomly broken during stray fire or spam. Even if there is strategy around how to use his shield, it doesn't matter when the upside from using his ability perfectly is still underpowered compared to his peers.

In next to next update i think full fuel regeneration will be around 30-40 sec and slide charges might be reduced back to 1 again

These changes were surprisingly good (though I think Raze satchel not booping players would've been fair and Phoenix with slight tweaking as well). Good patch but like now can they address the Sentinel Issue (Barrier vs. Flank, and PLEASE NERF CYPHER), buff Astra/Harbor (surprised they didn't since they touched Clove), and like...just give Skye 1 Rechargeable flash lol
I think neon could be meta on ascent now which would be cool. Being about to run past kj setups and get more value off her top speed. Plus she has more stopping power with her stun than Jett ever really could.
Edit: I’m not saying she could outclass Jett but I think she could be a genuine contender on this desperate map meta

These buffs just fixed NRG's role issues. Victor Neon is going to cook with FNS calling for them again.
Compared to what they have said on the 12 minute video, I am very disappointed with the Raze change given that Viper was nerfed to the ground. (Maybe I am biased as an Omen/Viper main but whatever)
I still would've like neon to get her damage walls back but 2 slides is so fun.

Idk if I’m just misinterpreting, but does the iso buff look like he gets the shield upon round start? Like without a kill, just when he starts using double tap.
Honestly I think for the most part this buffs and nerfs really centered around ranked plays and not particularly pro plays.
I still think iso needs a movement speed buff for when he activates double tap so he can entry efficiently.

I really wish they buffed Clove more cuz I don’t want Omen to get nerfed. I can basically play most if not all agents in the game but I love Omen. He’s probably my favorite one to play (and he was my first main) lol so I hope he doesn’t get touched

I watched some of the raze patch gameplay and the satchels arw basically useless. You can barely make it from heaven to truck on bind with a double satchel now

the not dying was a good idea when he couldnt just press e and pop a shield but i think its balanced now
I think they should rework the ult. I suggest they add like 150 armor (serve as hitpoints during his ult) and if the opponent manages to break it both will exit the ult while Iso still has 100 hp. Because I think its stupid that Iso dont really have an advatage on his ult compared to other duelists.
Man this sentiment is so one-track-brain... I can agree Iso ult isn't great but if you're using it in a position where dying is a MASSIVE loss to your round, you're not ulting right. Ult takes people off plant, can easily destroy a crossfire when attacking sites, can basically get Iso into defense when he's too late to be on a site for an execute.
Phoenix has to run through fifty layers of smokes and util if he's fighting a competent team, Iso gets to go "fuck all that just 1v1 me".
If anything with Iso sucked, it was his wall, his shield, and his vuln was OK at best. His ult is a little above average when used right.
reyna dismiss should be like jett dash u can dismiss once whenever u want so u can enter with it

I am a Neon main and I actually hate these changes. She was fine before these changes. All I wanted was faster stun. Now wall is worse, stun is worse, fuel change is not that big in the first place since you never ran out of fuel with good usage (You get insta 100% fuel when getting kill), shooting while sliding is already a thing. Its almost 100% accurate so this change is not that huge in reality. Strafe speed is whatever, doesnt really affect the Neon playstyle or movement at all. The equip speed change is straight up buff.
I am more worried about this Reyna change since she will be even more picked in ranked than she already was...
The Raze movement nerf is big sad. It's fine though I will now break people's ankles with Neon instead

Reyna is more of a less timers less of having to rush in because your ability’s will run out this will let you play with you team every round because of the lack of timers

How is Iso only getting the most minimal of small buffs having no presence in pro play, while Neon, who sees at least some play, albeit not much, gets giga buffed (in comparison). Not a duelist player, just don't understand the reasoning here.

The changes:
Raze - close to useless
Iso - still an irrelevant character in coordinated play
Reyna - nothing that matters has changed people will still smurf with her constantly still irrelevant in coordinated play
Neon - makes her more viable
Clove - still a reyna clone with smokes but now even worse
I’ve seen enough TH are winning champs and miniboo will be the best player in the world by far.
