My dad had a hotel in Kottigehare during 1999 to 2004., My school days.. kottigehara is a gem of a place . Still miss those years.. the wether ,scenary and food was different..😅

Kripal- pls do educate the viewers on the issues regarding western ghats and how we as common people can make it a better sustainable and Friendly tourism and tourists.

I wonder if they have any accommodations for Drivers/Chauffeurs? I'm a senior citizen who has been told not to drive. Hence, I cannot take advantage of many such amazing and wonderful places!

In between the mist and mountains there is a house, mountain let's view my wonder, mist let me make the scenic more beautiful, food let me make the palate enjoy.

Just a week back, we went through Kottigehara to reach Hornad Annapurani Amman temple..amazing views of sceneries from Mudigere to Hornad
The place looks great. Hope it remains the same for many more decades to come.

@kripal - You should also try The Nest, Handi near Mudigere which is a wonderful place to wind down on your next trip around Chikmagalur
Because of increase in tourism and homestays landslides occur...its sad that such beautiful places are being spoilt because of tourism...😢
Not necessarily old homestays ,it is the new development leading to soil.losing its strength over a period
