Yeah, I think that's a plus for him. He was going thru a very hard time after Vinh died, he was trying to get some answers, and maybe improve on his bad boy image for Tina (Vinh's gf.). If anything, they probably thought with the short hair, and the preppy clothes, that he was going thru a phase, and he'll probably snap out of it.

I was in tears when I came across this film by chance. The song at the beginning caught me off guard. I saw this film every day for weeks in 1993 when I was 13. It was like an addiction. I was a passionate skater myself 😂 The film was really everything to me at that time. It was the most beautiful, carefree and hottest time of my life. I miss it painfully. This film just brings everything back up and it feels like there are only 2 weeks between 1993 and now 😢

Me too! This film was introduced by my aunt and I wanted to skate so bad. I learned it loved it. Board broke in the 90's by a cousin of mine over some anger management due something I cannot remember and I resumed skating again and never stopped again several years later. This movie still rocks and I miss 1988/1989 times. Being so young does make you feel alive and live forever when you see stuff like this. Skateboarding is to live for and it was a thing to do and freedom to express your connection with your life and that board. Nobody could take away the melody you feel when you ride on the surface.

Culture stagnated in the early 2000s..the 90s were the last of the generations that had its own culture. Thankfully I snuck in as a 80s/90s kid so I got to experience it before whatever happened that paused culture.

@jbellflower83 it was the internet. Then it got even worse with social media and smart phones. Its not natural to think socially that way. It took kids individuality away. It's why music suffered- movies became all remakes. Etc. I'm also an 80s kid.
