Thanks for this video. You did one of the best jobs of navigating ATL. You kept your camera up when you were walking so we could see and it has really helped me for my first time flying through ATL.
I had a great experience with Delta Airlines back in November 2017. I hadn't flown on commercial planes in over 35 years. I went from South Bend, IN to Phoenix with connections both ways. Everything went as scheduled, had a wonderful time.
On that second plane, I like how well they kept you updated with the hydraulic problem they were having. It sounded like the updates were very thorough and detailed.
I'm heading 2 Las Vegas in 2022
Thank you for sharing your experience so well.
I loved this video! I love how there is not many cuts and it focused on you whole trip. Simply fantastic
+PierreR21 Gaming Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Are you going to be posting more of these?
When I have the chance and save more money to travel yes I will.
Woah...I'm exhausted just watching this! Thx for sharing.
weatherlicious jk
6 years ago I went 2 Las Vegas
I'm going to Phoenix for spring break and I'm very excited. I live in Illinois and I know it will be far, but I just love plane rides
Great video! Phoenix Sky Harbor is my home airport, but I have been through Atlanta countless times on Delta.
+Kevin O'Brien Nice! Glad you enjoyed! ATL has been my home all my life.. I plan on coming back to Phoenix when I save up to visit my family again.
Such a Great Video Eric !!!
I remembered flying on my own from Atlanta to Houston via Delta. I started off at where I stay at for college. I ride MARTA from Medical Center to the Airport. When I got in, I do the usual stuff (check in and checkpoint). I go through the cave from concourse T to B. I arrived at B20 and took off. The flight was less than 2 hours and the clock went back an hour. I arrived at Houston at sunset. My mother picked me up (she drove with my dad and brother and I had to stay longer at home to work).
I love Delta Airlines
Good luck 👍 traveling
This was the best atl trip report vid
5:22 Wow! You parked next to the Elevator! How lucky and comforting! I did that one time in North Springs, and parked on the 5th floor (I wanted to park on the rooftop of the garage, but it’s more comfortable for my car to be covered). I see why you went to Sandy Springs instead of North Springs: the long term parking at Sandy Springs ($5) is much cheaper than at North Springs ($8)
Your ordeal at Atlanta airport along with the aircraft technical problems just clarifies the notion if air travel in US doesn't improve over next 5-10 year demand for high-speed rail and other transportation alternatives will only get bigger.
It almost sounds like the Green Line Trains in Boston MA when it starts up and it stops as well. I find it interesting.
Awesome video, Eric!
Can't believe I watched the whole thing!
Nice video
Yes, the airport ftom Atlanta to Phoenix is so cool.
Love this video, PHX is the best airport in the world. thanks for posting!
Justin Krizenesky yass i agree
I had a connecting flight there before
If I had to be stuck in any airport ATL is the best to be stuck in. The place is massive. I spent my layover watching widebodies at E&F.
I don’t know why but the Plane Train’s voice is so satisfying to hear.
Despite your delays , it was great to fly with you.Jeff.
I remember that I flew from Atlanta to San Diego via Phoenix Az on America West Airlines Airbus A320 in July of 2001.
Woah I’m exhausted watching this whole process of arriving at the subway and going to the airport and missing the flight!
Dude that must be so nice to have the whole plane train to yourself !!
The train makes the same sound as the one in Orlando. Very nicely done. I’m sure at some point, you did or will do a trip to Orlando.
I can't wait on May 6, 2019 Atlanta to Phoenix then Phoenix to Bakersfield, CA for I'm going hiking on Pacific Crest Trail
That takeoff from Atlanta must have been very loud! I remember last year I flew American from Las Vegas to Chicago and it was just like that.
I’ve been on a Marta train on the way back from Mercedes Benz stadium to Lindbergh station
Great Video Eric,I enjoyed it,well done.
+Dexter Greene Thanks Dexter!
Well I would be happy the captain wanted to make sure things were right before taking off.
They pwere.the..
I like watching your trip reports everyday when I have my PBJ (Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich) for lunch. Keep up the great work dude!
4 years ago, I flew from Chicago Midway to Atlanta to connect to Orlando to see my grandparents for the Daytona 500 Rolex. When I got back home, I flew from Orlando to Atlanta to connect to Chicago Midway. Did you know that American Airlines, Allegiant Air, and Delta retired the McDonnell Douglas MD's
Yeah the captain made sure the things were right on our plane on Southwest Airlines and they were
right before our plane to Austin took off for Southwest Airlines...The flight to Austin departs out of gate
C14?True... sure...
Steve Reitz ,yup
Nice video! As a former flight attendant of 17 years, I can relate to that delayed LAX flight going back and forth to the gate! LA and Denver always seemed to be cursed with delays for me. Glad you got to see what pass riding is all about!
It isn't the first time I've done it, but that was the most rushed connection I've had!
Yea, I was actually stressing along with you because I know that exact feeling!!! I've been the last one on many times! Glad you made it!
How close were you to missing your connection flight
I've been to Phoenix, Arizona a couple of times.
rofl guess marta has yet to remove airtran off the announcement
ive been on southwest that oil started running out of the back of the engine making a decent sized spill i called the flight attendant to get the captain to look at it causing a 5 hour delay while they shipped out an oil pump from dallas to fix our plane
I really hope this didn't change ur opinion on Delta. Their a great airline but this just shows that u must have status with an airline or else you'll be screwed
At an airport that busy, I would recommend arriving at the gate 1 hour before your flight to avoid delays
1:20:53 the abbreviation for Mountain Daylight Time is MDT and 1:30:17 Mountain Daylight Time is 2 hours behind Eastern Daylight Time.
Angela: *does angry smile* I did not get on a buddy pass system. I went non-stop with my friends and even Matthew's entire church.
Oh, and on the Northbound and Southbound tracks are 2 material handling cars for TVCTA's Masonry Program. Love the switchers!
And the airport bound train is lead by CTC-1A 1752 and trailed by AEM-7 644. Talk about the electrified line.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO. Amazing. ATL airport is Delta International Airport rs.
Hugs from Brasil.
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Woah the LAX landing was very bumpy!
I've went 2 Las Vegas only once
I went to Las Vegas 3 times in a row
Crazy flight
Please do more trips soon!
I really enjoyed your video it was very good. I was wondering how long it took to edit all this
That train that you saw while approaching LA is actually a Metrolink train
Nope
You were lucky with your flight :D First two were full, your LAX flight was late and then they had problems with the hydraulics :D That never happened to me before... Luckily
I’m flying out of Atlanta this weekend. Hope I don’t have to go through what you did.
Love this...I've been through Atlanta many times. And the only Starbucks (that I remember) is in Concourse C :) I've been to that one.
+Bill A I work for Starbucks now! Glad you enjoyed!
Oh I did indeed :)
I first flew through ATL in Eastern back in 1982 from New York then to Fort Myers FL when I was a kid. It was only half as big as it is now and there were only concourses A B C And D
Wow! I never knew that!
I love the airport bound trains by MARTA
Dude, the trains don't start until 5 in the morning. To be precise, the first southbound train on weekdays is at 4:53 AM. On Saturdays and Sundays, 6:03 AM. Fun video.
Hey, can you send the link of the Marta train? I’d love to know how to book it!
23:17 the plane train in the atlanta airport is computerized. the doors on the train seemed to not quite be perfectly aligned with the second set of doors (by like 2 cm lol) and so it had to align itself for a second before the computer could give the ok to leave the B concourse.
idk if that's really true but it's just my educated guess :P
I was in Atlanta in January and my flight left from the T gates. the closest Starbucks was in the F gates. it took me an hour to get a coffee because I was misdirected.
I know there is a Starbucks outside security. I believe they are also in Terminals T, A, B, D, E, and F.
+It's Me Good to know.
+Steven Roberts There *might* be one in C now, but not sure. But those touch screen TVs they have can direct you to the one closest to you.
Great video. What an ordeal. Did you ever post the return trip? I can't find it. Thanks.
He just uploaded it about a year ago.

Well done! I had a flight out of C29, I've seen that elevator before, believe it requires key. MARTA voice sounds like sunrail voice
+EthanS Elevators Thanks! That's really interesting about that elevator at C29.. It was a first for me out of many years of coming into this airport...
it was very enjoyable..!
I like the music in the train station.
Wish I could come 2 Atlanta 2 visit u.... I hope u come 2 Singapore too.
I have the exact same watch!
In exactly 2 weeks I’m flying to Arizona!!!
Traveling from MKE to ATL, Then ATL to ORD, back same way. GRB ( Green Bay ) my airport is well, expensive. Both are delta. One is a 757, if I'm right.
What was with the fire trucks when you were pulling into the Marta station? (12:31)
Why did u change the seat with the guy next to the window?? And great video!
How do you get from Delta B36 too the baggage and clock tower ?
Those are just like our DC trains!
the tall buildings are Century City and Westwood
i watchd the whole video :) loved it!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
+ems318 Geaux Tigers ! daa da daaaaa daa! ☺
At the 59:18 mark, that is actually a Metrolink train headed towards Riverside
Amazing tripreport and interesting channel. Liked and subbed.
What editing software did you use to make this video? It’s great!
Cool video man
wow. almost a whole day wasted trying to a get seat then impacted by flight delays . hopefully this is a one off. if this happened frequently,I would lose my mind . good trip report btw
You live in Marietta right? I have only been in concourse C and I can't believe I never notice that elevator.
I feel so bad for you, wow you had a long day!
Enjoyed watching your video. Being from AZ. Did you get to explore more of PHX. The skytrain is awesome! If I may ask, which program did you use to edit your video? Thanks!
+abe1289 Thanks for watching! Yes I did get to explore much of Phoenix! And I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos.
+ems318 Awesome! Thanks! Can't wait to see your video for the return trip from Phoenix to Atlanta.
You had bad luck of traveling that day! Lol
I bet you were glad to get to bed when you got to Phoenix? Good flight I gave u a thumbs up. don't worry about the window I bet you were more concentrated on Phoenix.
It was definitely the trip I must say! Thanks for watching!
What editing software do you use?
Nice video! When you had to go back to the gate due to the hydraulic issue, how long of a wait was it before you pushed back the 2nd time?
+Chris Cole Thanks! They wait took about 30-45 minutes.
@38:24 is actually a CRJ900 not 700
Awesome journey my man!! Sucks you got stuck in ATL for most of it.
+LT81baller Thanks.. It's ok.. It was pretty fun actually! :)
Wow! Your flight is full. You couldn't get a seat. You bump it off 2 flights for ATL-PHX flight. You could struck at airports all day long.
Watching this from barbados love it
Great video, I'm going to Phoenix, AZ in October so this video really helped. I have a question what were the hours in advance when you got to the Atlanta airport and the time that you took off.
I got to the ATL airport around 6 AM EST. The first flight to PHX didn't leave till around 8:30 AM EST. Since I was on stand by, I was stuck in Atlanta until I found a connecting flight that afternoon.
How long was your flight delayed
i wached about half of it , but then i fell asleep
my favorite part of ALT is the plane train :)
What? The plane train?
Keylyn Wascom OMG ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No ATL it's a SkyTrain
Last Wednesday I flew from Frankfurt to Atlanta (10 hours) then I had a connection flight going to nashville that got it's time changed from 6 PM to 10 PM, then we went to the gate and found out that our flight was moved to 12AM, then it got cancelled. Then we were waiting at the help center for almost 3 hours, then we got a flight booked at 1 AM which got cancelled too, then we finally got onto a flight at 4 AM, worst experience ever!
The double smoked bacon chedder and egg sandwich is my favorite.
Who booked the airline tickets? Did you do it yourself or your parents did it for you?
😎 video
Flew into PHX about a week after you did on a layover. That train looks awesome. And may I ask. Is the train past security or not?
If you are talking about the PHX Sky Train, no you do not need to get through security. It can take you to the Metro Rail station. The Plane Train at the Atlanta airport is passed security.
I saw video about elevator 6:51 and the plane train 14:39 same time wow that's cool
That elevator at C30 probably goes to the tarmac.
No, to the jetway
