The phoenix moment was actually more complicated than it might appear. Both the roll and the Funny Face Crusher needed a level 3 frank for it to be available. At 1:51 Frank had 13 points to level him up to level 2. He needed 7 more points for the level 3. He BARELY made it at 2:37 with the 8 hit combo which is RIGHT BEFORE the Dark Phoenix rising. Beautiful play if i do say so myself.
at lv3 or higher, Frank gains a mostly invincible roll which can be used to "cancel" out of certain moves in order to make them less punishable. He x-factored in order to cancel the ending lag of the shopping cart super, used the roll to escape the fire that comes out when Phoenix transforms, and well used the air super

Ageojoe dominated this tournament because he did things that nobody expects. Everyone has played against a Wesker/Magneto/Dr. Doom team a billion times in North America but nobody knows what the heck to do when confronted with Viewtiful Joe or Rocket Raccoon. Kudos to that winning strategy.

But as far as i remember he didnt travel much and i only really saw him play Canada Cup. No idea if he still plays.
@daihaksu that's why you're playing a keep away game. use mag to blow up racoon full screen. dorms large hitbox makes people trigger happy, hell probably more trigger happy once you have log assist. use that to bait log and counter call mag assist and you can stuff log before it comes out. and dorm just blows up joe if all joe is doing is super and double/triple jumps while fishing. just throw out a run ball and do pillar/black holes with doom miss and chip away.
@hogtownbro he immediately x-factored then did a roll. The roll has invincibility meaning you can't get hit when Phoenix transforms. He then immediately did the super offering no way out for Phoenix. If he had done anything differently (meaning not x-factor, not roll, not super), it wouldn't have worked and Joe would've lost. It was just a genius strategic play that no one saw coming.
So he inched forward onto the trap as Champ was flying away. The teleport behind put him too close to even crouching light, gets caught unaware he was so close, and dies for it. Very very very smart play.

Level 4/5 frank is still probably top 5-10. Problem is you only really had readman(fizzycups) putting the time and traveling in.

多分全員弱い扱いを受けてた
キャラランクとは違うけど、クソル側使用キャラの雑感はこんな感じ。
1人目：ビューティフルジョー
小さい癖に標準的な体力を持ちつつ、持ち前の身軽さを活かした面倒な動きと高いシューティング能力がウリ。
ただその小ささ故にリーチが短いわ火力が伸びないわと魅せる事は出来ても倒すのは苦手だったり…
なら機動力高くてシューティング能力も備えたマグニート使えばよくね？
2人目：フランク・ウェスト
素の状態では特徴の無いただの弱キャラだが、Lvを上げていくとかなり強くなる。
逆に言えばLvが上がらないと貧弱そのもの、Lv1でそのまま退場なんて日常茶飯事。
だったらゲージさえ残していれば確実に変身してフランクより強くなるフェニックスでよくね？
3人目：ロケットラクーン
ペンデュラムこと"丸太"を筆頭に技は強くアシストとしては優秀ではあるが、
体力は最低クラス、リーチ短い、ゲージ依存率高めとかなり使いにくい。
正直これ使うならアシストも強いDrドゥーム練習すればよくね？
因みに言うまでもない事かもしれんけど、Filipino Champの使用キャラは
マグニート・フェニックス・Drドゥームの三人
中間ところがマークされていないマイナーキャラばっか、特にロケットは当時でもよっぽどのマーベルオタクでもなければアメリカでもなにこいつ?の扱い
