13:05 one of the best comeback ever, and Justin putting some rispect in his name. Wow thay was godlike!! The rivality between this guys are unique, even Sandford coaching Justin is incredible too. That guys distroy each other in MVC2, and here they are a really solid team. Wow, just wow!!
god damn this was a good match. i seriously think if marvel infinite was never happened mvc3 would be still going strong. that game killed mvc3 then killed itself, sad
two of the best umvc3 players fighting with their full potential plus 2 of the best commentators for this game lol it don't get much better than this, plus a hype crowd dang this match has got it all
@@vegetaking1272 As good as MVC2 was, UMVC3 took it to a whole new level. You had Japan even playing at one point and they aren't the biggest fans of the MVC series. This game brought so many insane moments and every year someone new got to shine at EVO. It wasn't 10 years of dominance by the same 3 players. The meta was always evolving. Who would have ever thought that Chun Li would win a UMVC3 EVO? UMVC is the GOAT.
If anybody wanted to know what the FGC is all about and the hype behind it. This should be the first video that you introduce them to. This is the epitome of what the FGC Hype is all about.
@Danceofmasks True enough, but I'm not sure is rushdown is necessarily easier to do than laming. If you rush you leave yourself open to getting hit. If your string gets blocked you might get punished, if you fail to factor in their assists or invincible moves you might get opened up. Theres more things you have to watch for if you rush down, and a lot of things can go wrong.
Hold the left character button or right before any match starts and your character changes to who you want i.e. if you play on the Xbox 360/PS3 game pad, you press whatever button you assigned the left/right switch button as. The same with an arcade stick I'm guessing.
@AlfieBoheme Morrigan uses up 1 meter - Does over 600k in chip damage unless your character has a flight ability, rebuilds part of the meter, the fireballs AUTO COMBO themselves, and locks you down for about 15 seconds. Akuma's double super uses 2 meters and gets nothing back, doesn't do anywhere near 600k, and needs to land a hit first, wolverine also needs to land a hit first. It's the only power up super that basically gives you guaranteed damage (chip), lock down, AND STILL BUILDS METER.
Only 1 assist can be on the screen at once, which is why at 10:18 you see both assists go unavailable after Akuma comes out for a small amount of time The game recognize two assist button presses first as a team hyper combo which is what you saw at 11:28 [if you have available assists and meter], and second as your first available assist.
9:57 / 11:21 - THIS ONES FOR YOU MORPH! Chris G's early damage comes from all the chip Morrigan gets; then if she dies then he can usually just do one combo with Akuma/Doom. Justin got smart and adjusted his strategy (Iron Fist is ground based), put in Storm, and got air mobility needed against Morrigan. Skillful though it may be to do her stuff, relying on the same strategy means one thing: someone is going to figure you out. Good players master characters, but the best know how to adapt.
@holditnow yeah the problem is that BOTH other characters are dedicated to morrigan assists and he's not terribly proffiecient with them when compared to his hawkeye, ryu, even ammy.
At 8:43, Justin Wong jumps up with Akuma and uses super to finish Doom. How does he do that? I've never been able to figure it out. I've heard "Tiger Knee Motion" but don't know what that motion is. Anyone mind helping me out? XD
best game i've ever seen. lots of respect to chrisg for providing the strongest possible lameout strategy. the game woulsnt have been as good if chrisg wasnt running morrigan
@mechienes They're friends. Friends give each other advice even if one is better than the other. Maybe he was just reinforcing what Jwong was already thinking, maybe he was pointing out opening's in ChrisG's defense to make sure his buddy had also caught them. Even the best players are not infallible, they do make mistakes and they do miss things sometimes. It doesn't hurt to reinforce their knowledge.
People! Just because Chris G is using a way to win don't mean its cheap since its part of the game. He created the ultimate defense with long range attacks. Justin strategy consist with mostly in your face attacks. Capcom is trying their best to make more of the lower characters shine. MvC2 people mostly used the sentinel, Cable, Magneto, Storm, and captain commando because they was too good (And yes they can be broken). But I gotta give Justin credit, He chooses characters that are low tier.
@DoctahDizzle He doesn't care about Doom and Gouki. They're on the team purely because they have assists to support Morrigan's AV. He built this team specifically to play keep away, Doom missles are disruptive and can reach the far top corner that Morrigan's fireballs don't reach, and Akuma's tatsu is a get-off-me move. Thats why people think it's so lame, he does it FOR THE LAME FACTOR. His doom and akuma suck compared to other known players, Morrigan was the whole team.
Whenever I miss UMVC3 in the mainstream I come back to this video

12:20, omfg matrix killed me with that little laugh LOLLLLL.
That part was fucking hilarious LOL.
13:04 - Cry, Chris G, cry. You know you want to. We love watching you lose.
Yipes and Chris Matrix are the best commentators for getting hype.
UltraDavid and James Chen are the most professional and I give them mad props too.
wow chris g looks like hes guna cry
I just love how the rest of the video is just ChrisG's expression lol.
8:08
"I am here"

Chris Free
I'm liking this for the commentators reaction to Storm. Fucking hilarious.
If anybody wanted to know what the FGC is all about and the hype behind it. This should be the first video that you introduce them to. This is the epitome of what the FGC Hype is all about.
Watched this live, it was dope... Can't wait for it at 10am!!!!
WHOA!! Just chill man!!
Every person has his own style of game... but I do agree on the return of ChrisG's old team
I like that one guy's rendition of the X-Men '90s cartoon theme.
And the "FOOT FOOT DIVE" chant of the crowd.
Fucking hilarious.

Cant find a JWong video on RUclips that doesnt have Noel Brown sitting on his lap

whoever was sining the xmen theme song is awesome haha.
I've never heard of Aquasilk before. Where has he commentated?
lawl to the guy that screamed at 13:10 "ICE FUCKING STORM" lol i literally died lol
The "FOOT-FOOT DIVE" from the audience is hilarious.
11:25 I'm loving the Classic X-Men Cartoon theme.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
11:24 - Shoutouts to X-MEN theme, keepin it real since 1990s!
do any of these guys use controllers or is the arcade stick the best way to use when playing competitively
Now I remember why this was in my favorite folder.
Dude this was when he first started trying the team, the video is over a year old.
Justic Wong is my kind of player. He plays with his heart AND his intellect.
Does anyone know where I can watch Justin's Spider-Man, Iron Fist, Felicia team?
LOL at the ppl in the background yelling "FOOT DIVE". Im watching this yelling it with them, LOL.
Morrigan has been figured out, oh how wrong they were
LOL after that Storm comeback, you can hear Chris Matrix say "FUCK YOU NIGGA" off the main microphone.
What an awesome match up for Grand Finals!
9:57 / 11:21 - THIS ONES FOR YOU MORPH!

@holditnow yeah the problem is that BOTH other characters are dedicated to morrigan assists and he's not terribly proffiecient with them when compared to his hawkeye, ryu, even ammy.
Why are RUclips monsters so concerned about commentator bias? Commentary was great as usual here.
I miss when crowds would shout the character's quotes like foot dive and this game is over
I don't always hear Justin Wong talk, but when I do, I'm always surprised it's him talking.
20:12 "They're gonna nerf it, They're gonna nerf it." Sorry to disappoint you Chris G.
I love after Justin wins with the storm comeback he slams his stick like: "yeah that just happened."
At 8:43, Justin Wong jumps up with Akuma and uses super to finish Doom. How does he do that? I've never been able to figure it out. I've heard "Tiger Knee Motion" but don't know what that motion is. Anyone mind helping me out? XD
Championship Point Akuma vs Doom:
Justin: Yo Chris, I heard you like fireballs.
best game i've ever seen. lots of respect to chrisg for providing the strongest possible lameout strategy. the game woulsnt have been as good if chrisg wasnt running morrigan
yeah i know that feel bro always had one for morrigan ever since darkstalkers came out. those were the days.
My faith in this game has returned :D
@willard230 hold up you hate wolve but not wesker what game are you playing because i know it isnt marvel
Tiger Kneeing a move is basically doing it almost immediately as you leave the ground.
Doing the move barely off the ground.
What do you call what Justin did with Storm then?
@mechienes They're friends. Friends give each other advice even if one is better than the other. Fanatiq plays solely with pad. However, I would recommend going stick. If you ever go to any arcade, you want that control.
I lol'd so hard at Chris Matrix's commentaries
Good luck. There's a huge transitional period involved in playing stick
@xNewAgeWarriorx (!) Is used to signify sarcasm. Use it at the end of a sentence instead of writing it for a more comedic effect.
I desperately want Yipes to narrate my life.
That awkward moment when a character dies on the first footdive and you dont know whether or not to say the second one
Who is the other commentator besides Yipes?
Watching ChrisG lose, is like a Happy Birthday all on its own.
They make umvc3 sound so damn gangsta.
what was the price for the winner??
I could listen to this man scream all day! freakin hilarious
Can anyone tell me how to do the bottoms up with frank west? if so i'd appreciate it thanks in advance.
chris g should just run his firebrand ryu hawkeye team. unique and he was showing some beautiful chemistry
People! Just because Chris G is using a way to win don't mean its cheap since its part of the game. He created the ultimate defense with long range attacks. Justin Wong, reminding us how he is the most successful FG professional.

i love how the crowd yells foo-foot-dive. tht shit was funny
