Can we have an explaination/route plan of how you went from a draughtsman to lead fire alarm system designer in 2 years? I just started 3-4 months ago, have extensive CAD knowledge and Revit. Also Rhino. I'm quite good with dialux/relux. Is there any training you recommend to advance? I've done a couple of courses, have another booked soon. These taunt me european and british standards for light, lighting design and fire detection and alarm system design in non-domestic buildings. I look forward to your reply :)
Sir...can I have a request again a favor? The existing building (3-story) needs to install an elevator, the proponent wants the elevator to be connected to the existing FACP conventional system, recall elevator to the primary floor and recall elevator to the alternate floor (if a fire occurs). What are the additional devices to be connected to the existing FACP in order to function the elevator smoothly?
Make sure when you interface elevator to FDAS, there is a smoke detector in the elevator lobby within 6.4 mtrs from centerline of elevator or if you have sprinkler inside the elevator shaft, then you must have both smoke & heat detector inside shaft installed for elevator recall & elevator shunt.
Sir, I have a question , is the speaker audible notification appliance is built in power amplifiers? or it's required external amplifier? Thank you in advance sir.
Hello thank you for watching. No built in. The speaker will be connected from the amplifier and the strobe light is connected from the fire alarm NAC circuit if the speaker is with visual notification.

Hello, it really depends on what your state or local code you're in. Some countries require local certificates to be certified as a fire alarm designer and some require that you get your certificate from the manufacturer of what brand you use in your design. But if you're looking for a certificate from a recognized organization like NFPA to start with your career in this field, then you can check the nfpa website and there are a lot of available seminars you can attend there like nfpa 72 for you to start working in fire alarm industry.

@@richardbutiong8762 We normally assign separate zone per floor otherwise if there is a fire or smoke compartment as fire division between areas to allow relocation of occupants to other zone as part of fire evacuation strategy then we can have more than 1 zone per floor. The quantity of your detector will depend on the number of device of your FACP can handle as per manufacturer's recommendation. If your system is conventional fire alarm system then it will depend on the capacity per zone, if it's addressable, then depends on device per loop.
Hi, if you are working in some country which requires NICET certification, then you can try to get this certification. Otherwise, you can try CFPS exam as most fire protection engineer do.
