Wow this was really enlightening. To learn that a remote detector can be mounted behind a plastic body panel was truly informative. I do prefer the mirror mount with the guts installed inside the interior rearview for stealth and cost. But it's good to learn what the options are.
So incredibly useful, thank you!
thanks for all the valuable info here! super helpful!
Is there a specific range height from the pavement that the heads need to be installed at? A Lamborghini’s placement is probably different from a Ram. So is there a range so stay in?
Does parking sensors and radar guided cruise control affect radar detector antennas?
My question behind this information is in regards to window tint. Can that impact radar detector sensitivity and if using a radar with 360 degree front and back detection, will higher mounting affect rear detection?
Damn cool. You've got more controls and lasers than a ufo fighter.
Always a great presentation, but I have to say the redundant video title made me smile. Hey no worries. I'm sure everyone will get it.
Ciao. Drive Frisky my friends.
lol, yeah I used to call them "remote radar detectors" and that woulda been less remote, but everyone else calls them "custom installed radar detectors" so I went with that, even though it means I'm saying "install" twice, lol
@@VortexRadar ha, well I did not know that. But of course you did. One of the many reasons why you are the king in the business!
Hopefully they go down in price one day
If you ever get pulled over, i bet its like powering down a nuclear station😂. Just found your channel and ive been binge watching.
I wonder if carbon fiber panels are as transparent as those plastic panels.
Has a rock ever hit one of those front radar antennas??
Somebody: 5:50 that’s why I installed it behind my grill.
6:20 …Dang it!
Why are remote detectors SO expensive? It's simply an antenna in a waterproof box with an extension cable and this somehow quadruples the price. Feel like I'm getting scammed.
Why are most things so expensive when their parts are made and assembled in China for dirt cheap? You get played everytime you buy anything.
@@jakeriffle6719 Yea there's that but there's also a difference between getting played and getting it in the ass.
Lower production numbers, so cost per unit is higher
@@392nightrunner I call BS on that. Slightly yes but THOUSANDS of dollars for a hundred bucks worth of guts and a bit more moulded plastic? I think not.
Price for the redline 360 in Australia is $1699, it’s almost worth buying an installed unit now
I can tell that you don’t live in Virginia.
