The "Master of Puppets" album was considered to be so culturally significant that in 2015 ( I believe) it was added to The Library of Congress !!!! So there's that. Great reaction to my fav band of all time !!!

If you do lyrical reactions from a mental health perspective then you should do Metallica's song fade to black

Mental Health counselor. They should have recommended Fade to Black.... I think you'd appreciate this song.
    Also Jazz singer.
I highly recommend Wagakki Band Synchronicity.
They are a Japanese Folk Metal band, whose members have Jazz training. The singer plays Jazz Piano. And this song is a Jazz song. I think you would really like it.

Well, as far as live performances that sound just that good, I'd go with Slayers War Ensemble live at Wembley. They tried to stick to as close to the studio version as possible and nailed it. Epic performance.

Talking about bass Guitar, I think you should also react to the Metallica instrumental "Orion" in the original version with Cliff Burton on bass guitar. I'm sure It will blow your mind out.

  • @captaincapitalism264

This tune is certainly their magnum opus for the album, an epic. The musical notation for it is insane, like complex classical pieces. For the album just prior, Ride The Lightning, the title track is second only to the epic on that album, "Creeping Death" -- an Old Testament story put to heavy metal...my #1 favorite Metallica song of all time. I'm not sure what this video is about, but I think that actor is the one from both "Chronicle" and "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" (Dane DeHaan)...pretty cool. The other 2, newer songs you mentioned are good...but, for better or worse, you can break Metallica down into 2 eras: 80s; and 90s+. Neither better nor worse, just somewhat different styles; it is what it is.

Yeah, when I was young, the "Perfect Ones" tried to tell me this was devil music. Well, yeah, I guess, unless you actually listen to the lyrics. What the music was about was condemning the "Perfect Ones", so of course they hated it.

I think their older concerts were better, specifically the 1989 seattle and 1991 moscow concerts. I personnaly like "the thing that should not be" from 1989 seattle, and "creeping death" from 1991 moscow.

I'm interesting, if disharmony of the interlude is intentional? Different parts of composition correspond to different stages of drag addiction and the interlude corresponds to euphoria followed by heavy heartbeat and depression. But drug euphoria is fake and the interlude has a fake harmony too.

Great last video for a while! Not big into metal but can respect how hard the drummer and guitarist/vocalist is working! Thought at one point "this is what they think they "have" to do to get the groupies!" haha. Some parts are very enjoyable like the guitar riffs but overall it's not my favourite. Hope to see you soon Momma all the best!

Nope Momma, if you don't know Metallica then you can't start getting to know them from a show from the '10s - '20s of this century and also from the "official video". Metallica is currently at the level of this "famous" Cabello, which is nothing, absolutely nothing. The boys haven't been playing interesting for a long time, their performances if they weren't played with the help of technology would look like rappers' performances (rappers, ahahahah, rappers don't exist anymore, there are only commercial buffoons).
I just write what I see and comment on.

No one of my favorite metallica songs. Sorry. They did way better songs. Song is about addiction but you figured that out probably. It's not very melodic. Rough. Not like the black album.
Suggestion for your metal monday. I have a interesting one for you.
Theatre of tragedy - A hamlet for a slothful vassal
I read lord of the rings as a dutchy in english and the original version. That's a 100 years old written in old english. Very interesting cause i didn't understand all the words but from the context of the sentences knew what he was saying. Theatre of tragedy is like that. Don't know what the dude is singing/grunting honestly but it's beautiful music. Female voice is so lovely and it all comes together. But old english. Check that out. And good luck with the lyrics on that. A hamlet is a 'gehucht' in dutch and slothful = lazy, vassal = servant. I can't translate it. Too hard, gonna take me half a day probably. It's more a feeling if you like it or not. Beautiful melody and all sorts of emotions. 🤗

I think this is right up your alley as an opera singer. It's about good and bad. Your words and your dreams.Hope, love and rejection i think. And it's emotion and almost classical with a metal sauce. Very well composed. Weird, strange. beautiful and more about sound giving you a feeling then lyrics. I love it.
      Album release 1995.

@@MommaTaunT Oops i will remember that. Sorry. I watch some other channels with opera singers doing review. But singing isn't just words and lyrics, also tone, pitch, and emotion. To give a listener a feeling.
I figured you would like this. The composition is almost classical with metal sprinkles on top. I think you will like it.

@@MommaTaunTI was a dj for like 10 years. Dj coordinator for 3 years in a club. Room for 600 and volunteer. Important how you line up the music to keep your dancefloor full and make a transition to a next genre. And taking requests and we would get a lot. People love it when you play their favorite songs. Making it all work. And keep your floor full from 10 to 4 or 5. You can't just do hip hop, techno, metal, dance and mix it up. The transitions are important.
Always 2 dj's and communicating. And i was a regular at another place. Walked in hey do you want to dj tonight, yea sure. Cause it is not easy entertaining a bunch of people keeping your floor filled. But a floor full is revenue at the bar. And if they enjoy themselves they stay longer and come back. I was managing a group of 10 dj's with a budget of 10k a year.
So I like a lot of music, more metal, techno, dance oriented. Jazz is a bit unknown territory for me. Gonna check out out your video's and jazz stuff. Kind of new for me. My moms best friends daughter just pasted away from cancer. I'm more in the Type O Negative - Everything dies genre right now. Love your channel and the interaction. ❤
