I WOULD NOT be hooking a Benchmade on the outside of Molle loops
So true tho
i honestly would choose something else even if i was backpacking...... th bugout is a great edc carry that is slim in the pocket and very light.... main reason i carry mine more in the summer in gym shorts...
Foreal dude, it belongs in the trash not the woods
@@tylerreis7627 i dont understand why people hate on benchmade.... are they over priced? sure.... arae they trash? not at all
Only one place for it. In your pocket.
Ironically the $30 Old Hickory Hunting knife will do all these tasks
Too bad we won’t be able to buy anymore since okr is shutting down, breaks my heart man
@@mr.pandabacon5942What??? Why?
@@JordanMac79 since when is 1095 shit steel? It's not a super steel but still a great option
@@JordanMac79carbon steel is great for food. You just have to wipe it down.
@@JordanMac79looking for things to complain this old hickory 7026 is a good knife not too flexible even though it's 3/32" thick the only thing it doesn't do is baton wood the steel is harder than the old hickory kitchen knifes and you can use it to make a wedge and use a wedge to split wood
And then there is most knife guys. They carry 8-12 knives for the "just in case" mentality and because knives are cool and we don't want to leave them and we want a chance to use it.
That is definitely me! When camping I always get the "alright we know all things that need too be cut goes too you".... they already know 😂
😂😂😂 It's like you know me personally.
😂Like I always say to my friends when asked why carry so many knives well easy each one has its own purpose
I have like 3 knives: Buck 119, civivi mini praxis, and my leatherman rebar. Each of them have their own role but usually I forget their role and just grab the first one I find when I walk out the door.
Morakniv is a great knife company. Really great. but they are still $15 knives.
I've have a companion HD and 511 had them for around 2 years they have always been a good knife for me
The Garberg is in a different class than the $15 companions
Yea they make great cheap knives. But this one isn’t really Morakniv, you gotta pay a lot more BUT ITS WORTH it. I own one and really recommend it!
This channel got me into knives about two years ago, still watch them daily
...ok
I pack a standard mora just about everywhere. tough knives
for the money it can not be beat
@@toxicfpv304 absolutely
Benchmade 940 Osborne for the backpack knife. It's just a beast, the Bugout is nice but it can't handle the same abuse the 940 can.
I carry a buck 119, benchmade 940, leatherman wave plus, and, just in case a cheap spiderco tenacious in my backpack. The first three I carry daily.
And how often do you actually use them for what they’re designed for? I imagine they’re more of a toy to you than a tool and you probably play with them or whip them out to look cool more than you use them
I carry a buck 110 and a Leatherman Supertool 300. Plus an interchangeable slip joint.
Hell yeah😎👍🏼 nice loadout
An opinel is perfect for camp chef backpacker.
The Garberg & Laser Strike, two great knives! 👍
They are all nice but Benchmade knives are too expensive. I love them. I wish I could afford to own one but they are too many monies for me.
The only reason I don't own one. They charge way too much😂
With that kind of mindset, I wouldn’t own one either:)
I own a Benchmade mini bugout, and I’ve had it for 3 years now and I love it, I would recommend saving little by little and committing to getting a benchmade. Even there cheaper line ups are good
I slowly put money together to get my benchmades. I have a 940, a tattoo nimvarus and I csnt remember the other. But they're some of the best knives I've ever used and I never leave home without one
I own a couple of griptilians and that's it
I just use the 119, solid for most things and great when hunting
I use the gerber strongarm
Me aswell my 119 is my "anything outdoors knife"
Shoulda done the manix 2 lightweight instead of the bugout.
Spyderco at all before Benchmade. 😅
The knife I prefer for camping is definitely the Gerber strong arm still has yet to let me down
A bug out? Now I'll pass it maybe light but still something I won't bring unless it's a day hike or walk to the park
I just use the fixed blade I made in my garage... My 1084 knife holds an edge better than some spydercos I have in s35vn... Modern steel isn't awesome if the heat treat is trash! That's why bucks the shit! They can actually heat treat like a custom maker can ... Not like a shit production machine does them
Gathering them all will make you camp Thanos wielding the infinity gauntlet of knives
the way you clipped that Benchmade should be illegal
- Dein Video zeigt richtig gut, wie vielseitig dieses Messer ist! 🗡️🛠️
Mora☝️
I EDC a white River FC3.5. it does what it was made to, and works well enough for most of the other tasks while being light and compact. The only downside is the steel is really hard, so it tough to keep sharp in the field bush crafting.
Essee and Benchmade aproved this message.
Awesome! I’ll take them all!
I still use my dads kabar, he loved that thing and i do too
My late dad could do all of these things w/any knife you handed him and not break the blade.
Skill trumps the tool. Doing more w/less is how our parents, grandparents and ancestors rolled.
Clip the knife on backpack that way haha yes , you have to check the blade ad more often 😂
Just get a Leatherman Signal instead of the benchmade. The leatherman has a blade sharpener, ferro rod, whistle, saw blade, serrated knife blade, phillips and a flathead bit, can opener, pliers and wire cutters. All on a platform thats a little bigger than the benchmade, and half the price.
You know what's even cooler than a Ferro rod??? ........ A Bic lighter. "B-b-b-b-but what if....?" Two Bic lighters! "B-b-b-b" THREE Bic lighters!
Cool choices, but my main camp knife is a PKS knife: 1) Kephart, 2) Camp & Trail, 3) Scorpion.
Fixed blades are definitely best when used as a tool
so the second one would be good for say, creating shelters/weapons chopping on wood, carving on wood, etc?
Benchmade are awesome in my opinion but the prices aren't specially the good ones. 😢
You get what you pay for, like most any tool.
@@pamelah6431 as someone who actually uses knives for work its hard to justify that price tag specially with the option we get nowadays. a ton of manufacturers will surpass what benchmade does while paying a fraction of the price.
The Bugout??? C'mon guys. You were doing so good.
Imagine you bring the survivalist with you only to find you left the wrench and now you die of exposure with a flint and fire starter just inches away 😅
Fixed blades are awesome
I would say the laser strike would be the fire man knife and an esee 6 for survival yo
The classic sd is the perfect backpacking knife. The MKM Mikro is a great addition if you need a bit more substance.
Bug out is a fancy and EXPENSIVE box cutter sorryyy
Bugout isn't fancy, nor is it that expensive. If you just want to cut boxes, get yourself a Menards box cutter.
All but the Mora are hype knives.
White river please
I wouldn't be carrying that bug out on the outside of my pack.
When you own 3 of them. The larger Firecraft 5 inch version is by far the best overall knife to all of them.
Got a benchmade buyout. Will keep this gem forever and never ever part ways with it.
when?
Buyout or bugout?
@@th00perman_ autocorrect error. Bugout
@@kitnanaaiyou can edit your post, ya know...
I like the FIRE 🔥 builder knife.
It's called a White River Firecraft 3.5. But I recommend it's larger brother the 5 inch model.
I always tell people not to be cheap wen you buy your knife. But also don't get a knife so expensive your afraid to use it.
What is this weird assumtion that I'm keeping my knife in my backpack? It's on my belt.
Love them all
😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much for the intro, laughed so hard 🔥
Awesome and correct!
Benchmade is the go to for quality for weight
Morakniv.
Do not hang your knife off your Ruck. That's a great way to lose your most valuable tool.
I love my Swisstech Fixed blade
What's with the back packer and then showed a bug out I have one of each really different knives
A full sized pocket knife that will break the second you use it
Always buying new knives🤷♂️ just waiting for the right one, love them all
Clip your knife to your backpack if you want to buy a new knife.
This is what I need for camping next summer
But where is the swiss knife?
Had a FC4. Perfect knife for bushcraft, but has one fatal flaw which is why I sold it. Handle is too thin, I guess it's perfect for a woman maybe. It's a shame.
That bugout belongs in the garbage bin not the woods
and the Garberg can do it all lol
Great choices
The 119, I want one.
You skipped over that tops knife😑
Ahh yes the Bugout, The knife for people that dont go camping, Most likely a city Slicker, and make some of the dumbest Compromises when doing there "Ultralight backpacking adventure" (Its in a controlled park)
Such a horrendous little knife, Benchmade even offers a knife cheaper and wont break as easy (Griptilian)
Please don’t show clipping a knife on the outside of a backpack, or clipping it ANYWHERE. I understand that it looks KOOL to highlight the knife, but there’s actually idiots that will do this…..
why only bring one knife when you can bring a full armoury in a knife bag, along with a few selections of axes.
Esee? For use in the woods??? Hmm idk about that. Believe they weren't designed for that.
I went with a Buck Langford instead for a more robust handle
Sooooo get all of them
The best knife....is actually the one on you when you "need it." Shop around and get them all. Best problem to have is .... which knife to take.
Does anyone actually clip a pocket knife to their bag like that, let alone a Benchmade?
"5 knives for campers"
Am i the only one whose mind went right to call of duty
Bug out 🙌
Um, Griptilian. Not Bugout. Chose correctly.
no mention of the guardian?
Very nice
y'all need to stop recommending Benchmade they don't support your second amendment right
Im a gun guy, not a knife guy so I need a quick fill in?
That is a lie. A lot of knife companies help shred guns obtained by the police from criminals. There's no 2nd amendment contradiction.
I am all of these
Old Hickory Kephart
Get a victorinox Kitchen knife, so much better than overpriced and underperforming benchmade crap
If you clip ANY knife to the outside of your pack you not only deserve to lose it, and you also deserve to not survive. That is so dumb it’s giving me second hand embarrassment
...that FC 4 is a dream
Buy the Mora cheaper and better.
270 DOLLARS FOR I F*** POCKET KNIFE?!
What's one that can do all
What do you have for the RDR2 bushwacker and highwayman ???😊
Have 3 out of 5. The mora, esee, and the bugout.
how do u like the esee. Seriously looking towards buying it.
I love my esee
@@Makoshark0955 Have u used it harshly? I asume it would hold up. Just wondering
@@noidea1818 the best thing about esse is they have a life time no questions asked warranty....... you could chop it into 100 pieces and still get a new knife from them
@@toxicfpv304 jeez. Ok then say less lol. Thanks for the tidbit of info
I feel like the best pyromaniac knife would be the cold steel Finn Wolf
Those are nice but my camillus does just fine
Good content : I'll be getting at least the mora & maybe the chef
Good God. Imagine buying a Benchmade like that when you could just buy an F. Dick. I like knives, but I don't hate money.
some people like premium materials and lifetime warranties
@@toxicfpv304 ok? You don't have to break the bank for premium materials. You're paying for a brand.
What about the next short be a top 3 BR force knifes?
And if you are me, 6h4 bayonet is the best option
I dont know why but i cringe every time i see a video where someone clips the pocket knife to the outside of a back pack as if anyone actually does that lol
I'll take my Benchmade bailout over a bug out any day
How much is the last one?¿?
Awesome great post
