  • SUZETTE STITCH INCREASE | Crochet / It Can Be Done / I Show You 3 Ways / How to do it
Ciao friends! If you are so inclined, you can now buy me a coffee. It really helps the channel, and I could use the caffeine, so thanks! 😉 www.buymeacoff...
Today I show you how to increase the Suzette Stitch in 3 different spots on your project; beginning, middle and end of the row.
Thanks to Subscriber Natalia Brown! After Natalia watched my Suzette Stitch Tutorial she wrote and asked me how to do an increase with Suzette. Thanks for the question Natalia!
    Here is the Suzette Tutorial:

Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing this tutorial! I've been asking around and couldn't find anyone who knew. I'm working on sleeves for a Suzette cardigan. You have helped so much!

Hi Karen! I had to make this up all on my own because, like you, I couldn't find anyone who know or any tutorials. Go figure! I hope you share my video with those you asked! 😉😁 Bethany
BTW, I also have a decrease for the Suzette posted...

Bethany, the sleeves are working out beautifully! I put the inc in the center and it's created a slight arch at the shoulder! Thank you again! ❤

Totally what I was looking for. I am wondering when you are increasing at each end how many stitches are we increasing each time.? Is it for stitches each time if you increase each end? I just want to understand what is happening when increasing. I will be doing this next time. Thanks for tutorial.

Hi Bareiria! Each of the 3 examples I show you increase by 1 stitch. I hope that helps! Bethany

How would you increase in the round (from a magic circle) ? For ex. if you want to go 6-12-18 and so on.....

Hi Jen! I have not "invented" that one yet. I love all of these Suzette increases and decreases because I love that stitch and no one has done them before, but I haven't yet gotten to the one you are asking for. It is on my list though. Hopefully I can design and record in the next several weeks! Bethany

Thank You so so so much for showing Increase and decrease all 3 ways with this stitch. I want to make a sweater.
    I have a question.
I have 4 balls of 8 Ply acrylic Yarn each balls weighs 100gram.
What size swearer can be made with this amount of yarn with this stitch?
Also what mm needle I should use with thus yarn to obtain a nice loose drape?
    I have 5.5 mm , 7 mm and 8 mm hooks.

      Hi Old Soul!
I am assuming by what you are saying that you have a bulky or super-bulky yarn, but I don't really know that without seeing it. This is quite the math problem!
How long is each of your balls of yarn (not total, but each)? The paper band on the yarn should tell you. That number will at least help me try to calculate an answer for you. Bethany

@@ThimbleHooks The information listed on Ravelry under "Stashed" is:
Yarn: Needles Quality Knitting 100% Acrylic
      Yarn Weight: DK (11wpi)
      4 skeins = 1199.6 meters (1311.9 yards), 400 grams
      1 skein = 299.8 meters (327.9 yards), 100 grams

      Hi -
The recommended crochet hook size for the info you sent me would be a size 4mm, so you will certainly want to use the 5.5 of the 3 hooks you have. That will make a "nice loose drape" as you say. 1300 yards of yarn is a lot, so you can pretty much make an adult sized sweater, particularly when using the 5.5mm hook you have. Exact size won't matter so much since it will be so drapey. It will be very open weave, so plan on wearing something underneath the sweater so nothing "shows".
I hope this helps you! Bethany

@@ThimbleHooks Thanks so much for the help. What size adult sweater you would recommend making?
Small , Medium , Large? With this stitch?

Hi Jennifer. Yes, I do! I have my Suzette Decrease on my taping planner, but it keeps getting pushed down for some reason. I will put it back to the top and you can expect to see it within the next 10 days. I will enjoy doing it and thanks for the "nudge"! Bethany

how many increased stitches are we gonna add to each row? I'm kind of confused right here! Wonderful video btw!

    • @ThimbleHooks
      @ThimbleHooks  2 года назад +1

Hi! Since this is just an example to show people how to do it I wasn't going after a specific number of increase stitches.
However, every increase is one stitch. I hope that helps and thanks for the question. I hope you subscribe! Bethany
