Fun fact, the reason why the animation seems blurry/choppy at the beginning is because they purposefully animate Miles at 12 frames a second, while every other Spider-Person is animated at 24. As the movie progresses Miles eventually becomes 24 frames showing he is now as adept as the others.
That’s a really cool detail thank you for sharing :)
If I see this false claim one more time it'll be my villain origin story
Spider person lol
@@velaro3it's not false check Google or wiki
@@velaro3 sir, respectively, the only false claim I see is yours
27:13 He’s not falling, He’s rising! With HIS style!!❣️
“You could wear the mask!!” That was always Stan Lee’s message. Spider-Man was unique because it could have been anyone.
makes for an interesting contrast with Miguel in the 2nd film telling Miles he was never meant to be spider-man and that he doesn't belong and never did like lmao bro chillllll
@@kags9367 I've actually met people that think the same as Miguel about this so I love how they represented those people as Miguel
This is one of my favorite animated movies every released, the minor details in it are both plentiful and amazing. One of my favorite details is how neither Miles, Gwen, or Peter B are perfect, they all have “flaws”. Or when Miles was webbed up in his dorm, when his father doesn’t just reach out, he reaches more than halfway even though he’s still blocked by the door. It was such a beautiful moment and an equally beautiful movie.
Cool thing about "Uncle Aaron". He actually already appeared in the MCU! He was in the first Tom Holland Spider-Man as a minor role. He was going to buy tech from Vultures men but Peter stops it and finds Aaron later, trying to interrogate him for info, Peter learns Aaron isn't a bad dude really and even tells Peter where Vulture will be next. He also mentions he has a nephew near by and wants to keep those weapons off the streets. In the MCU he's played by Donald Glover. :)
Miles was inspired by his audition to voice one of the animated Spider-men
And he was a reason why Miles WAS CREATED
@@marianomartinez3008ol no miles origin was the ultimate comics
This movie is an outstanding piece of art that would have certainly received approval from Stan Lee himself. Can’t wait for you to see the sequel
And steve ditko ?
Watch it on the big screen if you can. I don't know how, but not only did they manage to do it again (which would have been more than enough!), but they somehow did it _better,_ as impossible as that might seem.
The High School that 'Spider Man' goes to is inspired by an actual school, "Bronx High School of Science" which is one of the best, most competitive High Schools in the country (my dad went there). You have to take a special exam to be admitted there (there's also a high school of the performing arts which is similar, that was depicted in the movie "Fame" that you have to apply to.). I attended Caltech, and in spite of that school having a very small graduating class, and being in California, there were more students who came from Bronx High School of Science than virtually any other High School in the world. So it is very prestigious. BTW, in the comics, I believe they call it 'Midtown High'. But it's still a stand-in for the same NY High School.
Welcome to the Spider-Verse.
Im so glad you compared this to Arcane. Both amazing animation styles. One is my favorite animated movie series and the other is my favorite current animated show. Last but definitely not least both star Hailee Steinfeld (Vi and Gwen)
This movie is so incredible from start to finish! Probably a top five superhero movie for me.
*1:11*
I remember that song is heard from *SPIDER-MAN 3 (2007),* in which, that is *Tobey Maguire's dance* from the *3rd film.*
Fun Fact: The dance along with those other live action Spider-Man film references are shared canon events
Another Fun Fact: Blond Peter who died here also had organic webbing
spiderman always gets back up
Can’t wait to see you watch ACROSS the Spider-Verse, the sequel. Gonna be EPIC.
Quick piece of info that is important. The first time you see the "42" Spider it glitches just like the other things/people in the movie representing reality tearing and or something /someone that is displaced from its/their original reality so in other words the spider wasn't from the universe where Miles got bit, helps you understand the villain "Spot" in "Across the Spider-Verse" Also Gwen says her name is Gwanda because she's not originally from this universe and didn't want to blow her cover due to her "Spider sense" alerting to miles because of his new found spider-powers at the time.
Amazing reaction! You'll love the sequel. It releases to digital very soon!!!
The music & story was so good! Loved that Stan Lee had a cameo in this they really made you feel it when Peter died then we jsut get all these other ones so crazy they put so much work into this the 2nd one is even crazier
I would like to see Colette in the Spider costume on every reaction even if no Spider-Man movie is watched. She rockin it! 👍
I love this movie so much it was my favorite Spiderman film until recently I do like Across the Spiderverse slightly more but they're both excellent. Can't wait for you to react to that! Miles leap of faith scene is without a doubt my personal favorite super hero moment for any movie with Thor's entrance into Wakanda a close 2nd.
Can’t wait for you to see how the characters have grown in the SEQUEL! 🙌🏾 ⚡️ I. Love. These. Movies.
The most important Stan Lee cameo for a multiverse of reasons
The reason The Prowler surprised Miles was.... he was at his place!! Miles went to his Uncle Aaron's apartment who just happened to return home at that moment, he wasn't following Miles at the time.
Something small no one catches is when Doc Ock shows up at Aunt May's place, May says "Oh, great. It's Liv." Which is what Octavius said her friends call her.
The guy voicing Kingpin is Liev Schreiber who previously played Sabertooth in X Men Origins: Wolverine(2009).
The voice you recognised for spider man noir is Nick Cage. Very cool they got him to voice act in this movie
Is it me but I kinda want to see Cherry wear the Spider-Gwen costume for her next Spider-Man or Marvel reaction?
She would ROCK Spider-Gwen!
Not you!🤓
But I don't want her to shave the side of her head.
@@PhilBagels I want classic Gwen Haircut. Although Her beauty can DEFINITELY KILLS AS symbiote suit Spider-Gwen

A bit late... But I'm happy you're here 😌
Hey Colette. Love your reactions. I felt the same way about this movie when I saw it in theaters. I'm super looking forward to your reaction to Across the Spider-Verse. 🥂
love it, the whole movie is mirrored
I've been reading Spider-Gwen since issue 1. I actually need to backtrack and read Spider-verse, but I love this series so far. Thanks for all the great videos, Faust! I'm hoping for more of an older brother younger sister type relationship between the two, where they are really close but there are no romantic feelings there. It would make for an interesting dynamic between Gwen, MJ, and Peter as well as between Gwen, Miles, and Peter. The sad thing is people seem to be ignoring Gwen's pain. I mean, the girl's father pointed a gun at her and begged him to be a father. In the end, he hurt her. Then she's worried the same thing could happen with Miles. Trying to protect Miles and hold on to the one shred of happiness she has left. She was scared, and like she said, "I can't lose one more friend." In the end, she's not just fighting for Miles, she's following her heart. THANK YOU THANK YOU people were so quick to freaking call Gwen out, stuff isn’t just black and white there are reasons for all of Gwen’s actions and when you pay attention it’s so clear that she didn’t betray Miles A whole chunk of Gwen’s comic arc is her accepting her mistakes and her faults, not letting that define her, and moving past that! Seeing how they’ve mostly followed her arc, it seems likely that they’ll keep her arc The hate for Gwen is crazy, you got a bunch of these adults coming after and hurting this kid (Miles), One of the adults trying to talk with miles, calm him down, however, their device allows the others to track him down, one of the adults not allowing (Miguel) not letting Miles trying to save his own family because the Spot is gonna just kill em and potentially the whole Multiverse next, but instead they go with the teenage girl who has these personal issues, having too much pressure on her shoulders, really misses her friend and didn’t want to hurt him in the process so she kept a secret (oh him being the one responsible for everything) just to protect him. Great video man, you did a great job going deep to defend her and to even bringing up points I didn’t notice myself and I salute you, thx for my cameo too. Fun fact, the reason why the animation seems blurry/choppy at the beginning is that they purposefully animate Miles at 12 frames a second, while every other Spider-Person is animated at 24. With HIS style!!❣ Mmhmm in many versions of Spiderman Miles is the Spider-Man after Peter. Sometimes with him, but after a lot of times as well. :) he's great and an even more accurate representation of a young Spiderman Imo. 26:48 this is my favorite scene in the movie!
31:06 I love how you say "Kiss him"
This is why Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired from Star Wars
Because they have a mind of their own
i was surprised you mentioned arcane since you didnt pick up hailee voiced both vi and gwen 😂

One of your best reactions yet
If Marc Webb doesn't return for TASM3, then Sony should let PHIL LORD and CHRIS MILLER direct and produce the movie
They can certainly save it from AVI ARAD
Marc Webb should come back for TASM 3 but phil lord and chris miller should be the script writers to help him with the story. BOT
Peter Porker aka Spider Ham was actually a real comic book back in the 80s😂
Yes
This was excellent. Across the Spiderverse is even better
One of the reasons the frames are at the speed they are is if you take a normal animated action movie and pause youll see blur and stretch in this you wont they wanted anytime you pause to look like a pannel from a comic strip
0:36 You can hear a police car siren
They said that they inverted his fall the second time he leaps to show that he's "rising" instead of falling.
Waut till you see the 2nd movie. A masterclass.
Are you going to get a Spider Gwen costume or stick with the Spiderman costume you got now? There's at least two more movies with Miles as the main character. Only one of them is out so far, but Gwen plays a huge role in it, and it hits you right in the feels.
1:28 He’s 26, Colette😆
Spiderman Across Spider-Verse 2023
Did you see uncle Arron watching Donald glover on his tv, who plays uncle Arron in the MCU also Donald glovers Spider-Man pj scene from community sparked miles morales. We wouldn’t have miles morales if it wasn’t for Donald glover so great
Your senses Collete were indeed dulled. The only movie to beat this one is the second one. You should be extremely eager to watch it. If not let me tell you why. Gwen's voice is played by no other that Vi herself, the wonderful Hailey Steinfield. She is the leading female voice of your now two favorite animations.
The second is much inferior to this and without forgetting that the first is far from perfect in everything
Good reaction!😊
You are very cute and beautiful with the Spiderman Cosplay, you should also be the new protagonist, you are very kind and I really like your videos 😊💖✨
I hope she saw the post-credits scene.
NOO U MISSED THE POST CREDIT SCENE . its soo important 😭🤧
Nice review
Across the Spiderverse gives me nostalgia and I have yet to rewatch this masterpiece of a film. Hope you enjoyed this!
Colette cherry in a spider men suit……. 🥴🤤😳🤓😏😜🤪🥰😘😋😍
Im 96% positive it seems blurry to you because you're watching the 3D version without the glasses. 😂 you can see the effects to know for sure on the spider when he's walking away after smacking it and in the hallway with the text boxes, to name a couple.
Aaaand she forgot an after credit scene
beautiful beautiful movie. sequel goes 10 folds HARDER
Did you watch the post credit scene?
Are you planning to watch the Hawkeye series? The actress in this who voiced Gwen is the same actress from Hawkeye
"I expected kids voice" He's 26 😭
He’s Puerto Rican, i reference is to your “he speaks Spanish” comment 👍🏾
you HAVE to watch across the spider verse now 😭😭
Miles is Afro-Latino. He’s African American through his father Jefferson (or Jeff) and Puerto Rican through his mother Rio.
If you think about it, the term no expectations has several different meanings:
1.) his parents and teachers wanting Miles to succeed
2.) the Spider crew giving him a hard time assuming he can learn as fast as they did
3.) the box office
Given the reputation that Sony Pictures Animation has compared to other animation studios, some people feared that it wasn’t going to be successful.
Even though not many people invested in it the first time like they did with the live-action Spider-Man films, this movie still set the bar high for animation, made more in the box office than it was spent on, and introduced many people to Miles and other Spider-Heroes.
Over the past 2-3 years, many other reactors have also watched this movie for the first time and given their own positive thoughts about it.
Those include but are not limited to ItsTotallyCody, Mary Cherry, Natalie Gold, Sebscreen, Maple from Diegesis, Laika Jai TV, Laila Naema, Addie Counts, AkinReacts, Rico & Monica, Alex Hefner, Mr. Video, MellVerse, BillyBinges, Don Townsend, Movies with Mary, and The Perfect Mix. Canadian reactor Kaielle plans to watch it at some point.
What’s still peculiar to me is that they implemented comic books in a comic book film. It’s kinda ironic because that’s not something usually done with superhero comic book films which have become the norm.
The entire film itself is one massive comic book. From the speech bubbles to the text boxes to the panels to the splash art, it’s almost as if us the audience are flipping through the pages as we’re watching the film.
We also got the most wholesome Stan Lee cameo ever. This film premiered about a month after he passed away.
The What’s Up Danger scene continues to be one of the best superhero moments ever. Miles got the confidence he needed to hear from his father, creates his own Spider-Man suit, and takes the leap of faith with What’s Up, Danger playing in the background.
I also thought it was cool to see Miles take that first leap with an upside-down city in the background. It represents that he’s rising up.
His origin story culminates with his own signature comic, and his first solo swing run shows that he’s finally prepared to fulfill his calling.
I also loved Miles’ closing monologue. Spider-Man has been my favorite Marvel character since I was a kid, but when Miles said anyone can wear the mask, I felt moved. My biggest hope is kids who watch this movie feel that way as well and imagine themselves as their own version of a Spider-Hero.
Across the Spider-Verse will hit digital on Tuesday, August 8. In March 2024, we’re getting Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Oscar Isaac voiced Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in the post credit scene, and he’s gonna have a prominent role in Across the Spider-Verse.
There’s also a Spider-Woman spinoff in the works with Hailee expected to return as Gwen.
And finally, late musician Juice WRLD collaborated with Seezyn in the song called Hide. Juice would have been 24 today.
I wonder if they'll introduce his sister Billie at some point
This movie has end credits
missed the after credit scene
You could play Spider Gwen
It seemed impossible at the time, but the sequel is even better
A hot girl, reacting to my favorite movie, dressed up as my favorite super hero. Ok this made my month.
