I know I'm extremely late, but this video converted me to the Grape Jelly Master Race. (I seriously bought some grape jelly the next time I went to the store, I'm not kidding!)
Not sure if its been patched but I find I am unable to tap the arc cannon with the capacitor to keep the charge up. It gets to a certain point and drops very suddenly after a couple of taps trying to hold it near to firing.
I agree with you on much of this. The Arc Cannon is by far my favorite weapon for Titans. Goosers are so much easier to get with this weapon and deal considerable damage to everything in its path. I used to only use 40mm but I found that got boring too quickly. But with the Arc Cannon. It's always fun!
I used to hate all charging weapons when I started until gen 3ish. I used mag launcher instead of charge rifle. 40mm instead of arc cannon or plasma railgun. Because of gen 5, arc cannon became my favourite titan weapon, and the charge rifle is just awesome IMO. Just thought I would say that.
Hey there, a quick question: How do you manage to feather trigger the Arc Cannon correctly? I can´t seem to make it work. When I try, the charge-up falls down almost back to zero, even though I immediately pressed the button to charge up again. Thanks for the help!
If you have the auto-sprint option turned on, you're going to have to turn it back off. You can't charge during sprint animations so that is probably your culprit
I've already done them for the pilot weapons whose balance was affected by Update 4. I just re-did this one because my previous guide on this weapon was all about a passive, campy playstyle with particle walls based around stealing teammates kills so you could complete generation challenges with it. This guide was meant to get people started on how to *really* use the weapon if they want to be successful with it.
I love the arc cannon but I hate constantly feathering the charge so I don't use the capacitor. Is it even worth equipping if it's not with the capacitor?
Tried it out myself. You failed to mention that when utilising always run, its quite difficult to keep the arc cannon charged up because as soon as you release mouse1, you lower your weapon as you enter the sprint animation and have to raise it again to resume charging and end up losing half to 2/3rds of the bar.
Absolutley my loadout as well without the capacitator that is! Really misjudged that weapon at the beginning, now it´s one of the best imo, maybe only surpassed by the chaingun vs pilots and the railgun when you do the vortex cancel vs titans.
Vortex shield is not as viable on console. It can only be mapped to lb or a buttons which means you have to take your thumb off the aim stick to use it or dash neither of which I like to do. Bums me out. Wish I had a PC. For now electric smoke is the best.
i use an xbox controller with the pc, and i can assure you the game is more suited for a controller than a keyboard and mouse. and the vortex shield works just fine with lb
Sanidhya Bohra There are so many things you can do with kb&m that you can't do with a controller. Eg, on keyboard and mouse you can fire ordnance while charging an arc cannon, controller makes this impossible due to button mappings, rendering mtms useless. With kb&m you can ads while jumping, meaning you can hold your ads while continuing to bunny hop. This can't be done on controller if you're using bumper jumper, rendering aggressive kraber sniping much harder. If you're not using bumper jumper it is impossible to air strafe effectively, rendering fast movement playstyles useless. If you're using controller you can't use tactical abilities while aiming, meaning you have to carefully time tactical abilities when using the plasma railgun. When using a controller you can't aim while dash coring, because you use your thumb for mashing the dash button, meaning it's not on the right stick. The list goes on. In summary, you're making things harder for yourself using a controller with the pc.
Do you play competitive games on PC? There are so many Arc Cannons now. The meta has most definitely shifted towards them, would you care to share why you disagree?
Because I don't see nearly as many arc cannons when I play Titan Fall on the PC? I've been playing 4-5 games a night for the past week, and more often then not, I'm the only person in the match using the Arc Cannon. Maybe if I was seeing 3-4 Arc's in a match I would agree, but I never do, I at most see 1-2, which is HARDLY meta breaking lol.
Yeah, so you're not playing games vs. Clans most likely. That's where the meta-breaking idea comes from. Don't worry, it'll trickle down to most other players pretty soon I'd wager.
No, but a lot of the techniques and tactics they use DO trickle down to regular games. For examples, see every other competitive game in history. Grandmaster SC2 players start doing cool new things, eventually that trickles down to the "regular players". Same applies to LoL, DotA, CoD, Halo... it's just how games work. The Arc Cannon shift will happen in due time.
+StarNoovaPhoenix I know smart pistol does but usually players with arc cannon dont use it with any tactical strtegy they just run towars you pushing the triguer and releasing the shot and again while other weapons like triple threat push you to be more tactical ,have knoledge of the map and push you to do a better use of the munition cause only have for shots and reload.I mean i can break down any player and any titan with an arc cannon with my stryker and triple treath but the problem here is when everybody use it as if the game itself push player to do it as if it where a natural process of the game,it's just make the wonderfull game boring.

Bahahahaha welcome, my son!
I don't know much about grape jelly, but strawberry jam is where it's at man. Great guide btw, gonna try the arc cannon out asap

haha same here! That´s why I love the generation-mode compared to normal prestige!
How are you holding the charge for so long
this might be late, but he constantly presses and releases his left mouse so it has some charge but doesn't fire.
M' lord, I will be you grape jelly knight, sire.
Had to sneak shockingly in there huh frosty lol. Good stuff
sorrynotsorry

Set it to "delayed". It's the best compromise. You will still run easily when you need to, but will never lose your charge when you press forward.
FrothyOmen Oh, that´s a bummer... Thank you very much though!
Are you planning on making update videos on any other titan or pilot weapons?
I've already done them for the pilot weapons whose balance was affected by Update 4. FrothyOmen btw do you know how much damage a fully charged shot deals with and without a capacitor?
Why no raspberry jelly?
I love the loadout guide.
but the jelly bonus made me laugh.
I love the arc cannon but I hate constantly feathering the charge so I don't use the capacitor. Is it even worth equipping if it's not with the capacitor?
for attrition its great without capacitor. in LTS i'd use capacitor.

Which means for players who are use always run, youd have to break that habit.
Thanks for the tip. didnt understand why the charge dropped so much. This weapon is awesome
I'm gonna miss the Arc Cannon.

hello
Yeh i noticed that most gen 10 players will only use Arc Cannon...it's often unbeatable.
Meta breaking? Yay for non-representative, over reactionary titles for views! Yay!

So clan games are the meta of this game now?
What exactly do you think the percentage of the population clan games encompass?
No, but a lot of the techniques and tactics they use DO trickle down to regular games. For examples, see every other competitive game in history. Ha shockingly
I think arc cannon is ruining the game,is so overpower and frustrate the new players that are trying this game for first time.
+jose rivera Wrong, The Smart Pistol Ruin's The Game.
