- It's been an honor working alongside all the inspiring and talented devs building the Apex-Titanfall universe together, which is near and dear to my heart. But after nearly a decade, it's time for me to close this chapter and recharge for the next.

Those AI pilots were so uncanny to me since never have I ever seen those animations from my 6 years of playing titanfall 2. It's a shame how they were never used. Thank you for your work at respawn and for bringing smooth animations :D

@@Randomuser0283probably because they'd be either a balance issue or just be infuriating to fight if they wall climb and rush at you in campaign
Then again they'd probably be good training for the multiplayer since you'd basically fight low tier players
@@WintersTheSixthYeah, it was hard changing to pvp after campaign. I got stomped so hard that played only wave defence for a year or so.

0:48 I know that the reason these were never used is because there aren’t any AI pilots In the game but oh man is this so sick. Such a shame they never got used.
come to think of it, you are right! there are no AI Pilots!
Most bots you fight are just grunts, there are some Pilots but they are always riding the Titans.
Well, they have ai pilots on one of the campaign. Dont know what part though

@@kylecortezano4373the 6-4 were just grunt ai with scripted pilot paths and the “phase” pilots you fought were just spectres that could deploy drones + you couldn’t hack them

Thank you for helping deliver one of the greatest games I have ever played, it’s a shame it seems like so many of you from the titanfall era are leaving, and I fear of we do ever get a Titanfall 3, it will miss that touch from animators like you and all those who worked in those original games
You are an animation legend, the movements are so fluid they look professionally motion tracked, every single animation is perfect, it looks realistic, and it just flows. Amazing work! I hope I can animate at this level someday!

A while ago, I wondered who was behind the awesome locomotion of the titans. Sadly, I didnt do further research at that stage. Then I stumbled across this. Awesome work man!

It's stuff like this that reminds me that there's just so much lore in the Titanfall universe that hasn't been explored.
It'd be fantastic I think to have an FPS-esque adventure game setting be exploring more Titanfall lore stuffs.

Oh shit you did the bt catching you thing? That camera movement and bt running to grab you sure is unique and memorable.
The world of Titan Fall 2 was epic. A sort of underdog rebel story with small time travel elements and semi-realistic feal to a futuristic setting. A world where hope prevails into the heart of every single colonist fighting for their planet and rich environment that makes me feel hopeful for the future of first person single-player shooters.
Then Apex Legends happened...

The Apex Legends Sentinel amp animation is possibly one of my favourite videogame animations ever. There's something about how the sound design, VFX, and animation comes together that feels so visceral. Great, great stuff

I wonder what map it was going to be unless it was testing map they made, the sky box was from the map corporate in Titanfall 1
The beginning animation makes me wish we had a Titanfall/Evolve crossover, the monsters would fit perfectly and the hero's from the evolve games would feel more grounded alongside their fellow gliding soldiers like the pilots. C'mon i cant be alone in this ;-;
Those AI pilots were incredible, it wouldve been awesome to even just apply those animations to player pilots, they were incredibly clean
I'll always be thankful for all your hard and amazing work on Titanfall 2. That game was near and dear to my heart and didn't get the attention it was due until more recently but what you helped make with that game truly made it a masterpiece for the ages. We salute you pilot.

this one guy is pretty much known for some of respawn's most iconic animations thats a lot of really good work in a reel
Now that I think about it, a fight with an animal big enough to throw down with a titan might make for some interesting and fun gameplay

Dude, your work has defined a generation of gaming for me... I have yoinked a lot, a WHOLE DAMN LOT of Titan Batteries in my day, and the BT-Viper Grapple sequence from the end of Titanfall 2's penultimate level is S-Tier cool. That 1st sequence, with the cut shield and original Titan Sword concept (I didn't realize it had made it so far down the pipeline, I thought it was only ever just on paper!) is awesome, shame we never got to fight big chungus, there.
That 3rd Animation sequence; I assume the classic Titanfall MRVN is a placeholder model... or was there a "Feral MRVN" concept at some point...?
