This is a great video, showing how ineffective these things are at keeping mice out of your house. It certainly does indicate that the cheaper ones do absolutely nothing. However, in fairness to the manufacturer of the one putting out some DBs, I think it would be worthwhile to do a test by putting this on one side of a very large cage (say with a partial sound barrier in the middle) and with many mice in it… and see if mice avoid nesting anywhere near it. This at least would either confirm, or invalidate the manufacturer claim of preventing mice from nesting in your house. There is some logic that something can be annoying, but mice will ignore it just so they can eat… But they won’t nest near it because it’s uncomfortable… These things aren’t some sort of force field… They’re just unpleasant for the mouse… But hunger is far more unpleasant… Anyway, it’s just a thought for a future test if anyone wants to put up a video about it in the future.
I’m surprised that the mouse was moving around and didn’t run away as you were filming. I think it is human error. I have a Pest Offense and I don’t see any mice anymore. I had it plugged in for 3 weeks now however you still have to keep the kitchen area clean and take out the trash daily also keep non refrigerated food in in Tupperware containers so mice can’t get into it. Hope this helps anyone.
We had four mice in my house and we tried every kind of trap and nothing was working until my brother in law suggested the Tom Cat Spin Trap. They are one use only but they really work. The trick is that you have to remove all other available food sources in the home before you set it. Then you have to set it somewhere you know is a path they use, preferably adjacent to a wall or other object that directs them into the trap. Also, mice don't really like cheese. You set it with fresh peanut butter before bed. Now... if only I could find a way to kill these carpenter ants that have taken over. They are a much harder challenge.
It works on everything, but it takes 6 months to work fully. Once it's entrenched, no more bugs of any kind ever. Just as a precaution don't put near where you sleep. They say it's safe, but that's always a good idea. I put mine in a remote kitchen spot.
@@cristianmarquez7665 Someone told me they had a bird cage above where they plugged theirs and claimed it killed their birds. It's just a good idea to put things like 5g, smart meters, or wireless items not near you while you sleep. Also keep in mind the circuitry of your home. Make sure they are all connected. If your bathroom circuits aren't connected to the kitchen ones for example, it won't work. That's what an exterminator told me.
seanpierpont could just be a placebo effect. You want it to work and therefore all you choose to see is success. Or you may have never had a pest problem to begin with.
seanpierpont i have 3. One for each floor including basement. Having issues again. Never had issues till i moved to this new apartment. It isn't working for me for sure.
Chefette Brooke Your statement only reinforces my claim that this product is just a placebo, and doesn't work. Those instructions are not on the box, in the info package, or the website, at least not when I bought it. If, however you read that somewhere on their products 1. How is a person to keep rodents and insects from entering the walls? That's an impossible demand proving the product DOES NOT work as stated. 2. Where else do rodents and insects live but in the walls thats the primary entry into a home for them. & 3. What's the point of buying a product that claims to repel rodents and insects if you are supposed to keep them out on your own in the first place? Pest Offense/ Placebo Offense = You see success because you want to, either insects and rodents aren't in your home because they never were, or your brain on this placebo chooses not to see them.
Chefette Brooke it still doesn't work. Cause it is supposed to repel and keep away. Where did the mice came in from? The wall. I'm having the same issue. With 3 units. One on each floor.
It does too work, but it takes a few months. Most people aren't patient enough to wait for that though. I had 8 full years without any bugs whatsoever and no exterminator. That a huge relief and money saver. If you want to get rid of the bugs now, spray them. In the long run this thing really works.
Purchased in attempt to get rid of roaches, as I saw a couple of them, one on the ceiling, and one that appeared to come out from behind one of my AC plugins or sockets, but instead of getting rid of them, it seemed to attract them, as I've seen many roaches, and have been using sprays, baited traps, glue traps, foggers, just everything I can think of to get rid of the roaches, but they still show up, causing problems, as they've gotten into VCR tapes, VCRs, DVD players, and there were two of them sitting on top of the Pest Offense device, seemingly either defying the supposed affects from it, or laughing at me...LOL. Anyway, it either attracts roaches, or chases them out of the walls and into the rooms, but it sure hasn't gotten rid of them, as I've used this device for a number of months now...but it may be that it "chases" the roaches out from the walls...to then be "caught," "trapped," or "killed" by other devices or sprays.
From my experience, and what a pest control company told me, is that the bait attracts them before killing them. I saw 1 roach in my living room come in through a small hole next to a light socket, and one in an upstairs bedroom which was weird. I later found out my neighbors (I live in a side by side duplex) were infested so if I put bait out it might make my situation worse. Short story long, I’ve had 2 pest offense units plugged in and so far so good. It might be wise to get rid of all the appliances u can. Especially toasters, coffee pots, microwaves etc. My friend had Clark coming every 3 months and one day right after they sprayed we watched a roach crawl on the counter into the coffee maker. We took it outside and smashed it and dozens of live roaches scattered. We took every appliance except the fridge and stove to the dumps. She was infested and she’s now been roach free for 6 years now. Another cheap maintenance method is to mix powdered sugar, salt, and baking soda together and put the mixture in little plastic lids (I use pure leaf tea lids) put them under your stove, fridge, in/under low bathroom and kitchen cupboards. It causes insects to take it to the colony, everyone eats, then they explode. It’s worked great for ants and it’s supposed to work for roaches too. Hope this helps! Have a great day.

( pestoffense.com/frequently-asked-questions/ ) the details from seller to seller vary substantially. The seller I bought from said it would start working within 5 days, hence my post after seven unsuccessful days. After I went to him about the issue he took down his 5 day guarantee which was based mostly on purchasers experiences not the Pest Offense guarantee. Actually the only Guarantee PEST OFFENSE® makes is this "The Original PEST OFFENSE® has a money back guarantee. Contact retailer for their return policy." NOT that it WILL WORK, simply that they will refund your money. I stand by my post that "Pest Offense doesn't work." Why? Because today is December 25, 2015 a full month since posting this video and a full 6 weeks and 2 days since I have installed the device and it "DOESN'T WORK." Stickie traps and poison. I threw a few poison blocks around my place and I can't find 2 of them. The blocks I have, took out 12 plus mice at a friend's house and I only have 2 that I have seen. I just moved here and I'm cleaning alot cause this place doesn't seem to have been taken care of in years.
I know this was posted three years ago, but I just want to chime in and say whatever you do do NOT use poison… All it does is cause your mouse to die in your walls and start to smell horribly… Just use a regular old mousetrap… And don’t use the sticky kind either because that just causes the mouse to get stuck and die of thirst/starvation… Probably one of the meanest things you can possibly do to an animal… At least most mouse traps will kill within about a minute or so at most… That’s still one painful minute but it’s better than dying of thirst or starvation over the course of several days. I know there are humane mouse traps that just capture the mouse in a cage… And they are fine provided you were going to check that cage every single day… Otherwise it might as well be the same as a sticky trap because they’re caught with no food and no water… Again a horrible way to go. I know they’re pests, and you want to get rid of them… But no reason not to show some empathy along the way.
Maybe this seems trivial, but is it possible that yours isn't working properly? In your video the right light is flashing green, while official product videos show the right light as red. Can anyone else confirm the right light as being red?
right light red. I have had mine a year or more and only one spider since. I was getting spiders periodically. No ants since then at all. I do have 3 installed in my mobile home.
Idk, I have near constant problems with mice, have traps set in and around house. Finally said F it, got one of these Pest Offense things, just one in the Kitchen. Every trap has been empty for almost 2 months now...... so something is keeping them away...
Idk either, the video speaks for itself, maybe it has something to do with the type of mice, or the type of wiring in the house. Makes no sense that it wouldn't work for me and so many others but work for a few. Either way it seems there is A Lot more research and work this company should do to bring better results. Strange
