The new one is a very nicely tweaked version imo. Apart from the leg panel, the dog paws fold in flush in the bot feet (Look @ 3.44!!) and the cockpit has a lock-in now.
The paint of the older release looks more speckled, it's especially noticable when you compared the two heads next to each other. Personally I have no desire to own this figure (or any of the headmasters), but I have to admit that the paint on the reissue looks much neater.
The minor changes looks great and the minor tweaks as well. Thanks for doing the comparison looking forward to this and completing this set.
For the original to have loose ankle tilt you had to shave some plastic off which looks like they have fixed on the new release

I’m waiting for my reissue copy to arrive, since I missed out on the first copy. I don’t quite understand why they change the silver paint for a beige-golden one. I believe in the cartoon, he was more white-silverish.
Glad they reissued this. Now I need a warpath reissue

Thanks for the review TM. The reissue looks good and I’m so glad I was able to preorder one. Just waiting for my copy to come in and complete the headmaster team. Watching your review I did see a small paint change along with the new chest color. There are two hinge features that look like are painted yellow to match the body but in the old one it’s silver. Thanks again for the review.
Can’t wait to finally get Lupus and finish this team. I started collecting late and missed out on some early releases. Mine shipped today from TCP and I’m super excited. The differences do seem minor but I was surprised to see they made that change to the back of the calf area. I always look forward to your unboxing Sony so thanks for doing them!
