No-one deserves a Concorde in a museum, ESPECIALLY open air ones. What they deserve is the sight of the beautiful plane in the sky , tearing it apart and leaving the tree huggers and twin jets in the dust.
I loved seeing the cockpit of the Concorde. I found myself amazed at the sheer volume of analog dials, gauges, and switches. Then I realized just how old those planes are now. The digital age hadn't really even begun when the Concorde was developed and it was "state of the art" at that time. It's no wonder it took so many people to keep a plane like that flying. Oh, I loved the Airport '79 clip...awesome.
It was cool to be up in the cockpit, and check it out. They still seem pretty advanced, so to see all the older gauges and switches, and remember the prototypes flew in 1969, seems crazy. It was really interesting to get up close, and inside.
Thank you very much for this tour, it has been great. super cool I have always been fascinated by this plane, and being able to enter it thanks to this video has enchanted me. One of the first attractions that I will visit on my next trip to Manhattan will be to enter this plane. Thanks again. :-)
Thanks, Santi! The whole museum and the various exhibitions are fascinating, and filled with so much history. I spent so much time going over everything, and talking to the various vets on hand to talk about the ships, as well as their own history.
Nice video.. sad to see Concorde rotting away from the salt water and fading from the sun. Do they do and painting and repair work on her. Curious to know.
Thank you for this, super interesting. I notice the museum allows for the visit of the cockpit, super cool, the air and space museum here in Paris doesn’t, there is a glass window preventing you from getting in, it sucks, they absolutely have to do the same.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Concorde was really amazing for its time, and I’m sorry I never had the chance to fly on one. Came close once, but couldn’t pull it off.
I remember seeing the Enterprise in the sky when it flew over my home back in the early 80s before landing at Stansted. Somewhere I have a picture of it. Been in one of the Concorde prototypes located at the Fleet air museum. Absolutely fascinating it was. Great video Bill.
That's very cool. Both the Enterprise and Concorde are pretty amazing, and fascinating. I would have loved to have seen the Enterprise flying overhead. I watched everything on the news when it had its first flights.
I see that it has been just refurbed and replaced in position but its not a long term good location near the sea an all - that plane needs to be indoors to preserve it properly.
Had to laugh at the clip at the end from a movie where the pilot fires a flare gun to attract the missile, couldn’t the Concorde just outrun the missile.

Frankly it still remains more impressive than the boring slow planes of today.
I whould really recommend it is amazing I went in the cockpit and sat in there I got to flip a switch it was awesome
I wanted to try to take off, but not sure they would have liked that.

Great video man, such a shame that Concorde is not flying anymore.

Is it a lot of money to go inside there Concorde

Why is that concorde rotting out in the open like a common Boeing . Put it in a hanger
Already have the shuttle in a hangar. I would imagine they'll just refurb the Concorde as necessary for now. Thanks for watching.
