As mentioned earlier, mucus and catarrh is not usually harmful, but if it ever becomes a particular problem for you, starts to interfere with your daily life or lasts more than three weeks, you should speak to your doctor. It could be a sign of an underlying condition, such as nasal polyps or a chest infection, which might need further investigating or treatment.
You’ll also want to speak to your doctor if at any time your mucus is brown or bloody, as this can also be a sign of an underlying condition that needs investigating.
And if at any time you experience catarrh or mucus, you have any other symptoms that go with it such as difficulty breathing, tightness in your chest, difficulty swallowing or fever, these are also red flags that you should speak to your doctor about straight away.

How does putting something up your nose help get phlegm out of your lungs?
I've recently found that taking a deep breath and holding for 5 seconds, then blowing through a straw into a glass of water really helps dislodge stubborn phlegm.

This works! I did the gurgling technique and it fixed my mucus build up and stuffy nose! I wonder what the salt to water ratio should be though because it hurt when I did it but it worked on the first try. Aside from it hurting I give the advice a 5/5 stars!!!

Thank you Abraham!!! I tried it tonight and it helped me so much! I do gargle with salt water and it does bring relief. But sniffing salt water up each nostril is something I never thought of. Dear Abraham awesome video with fantastic tips and useful information. All your videos are helpful. I have this problem. My sterioid inhaler causes this problem sometimes. For mucous in nose I we salt water rinse and for mucous in throat I use salt water gargle.

Ive been having this issue for the past 2 years where during the summer time i get this dry cough that doesnt go away. Even though the cough is dry, it feels like i have something constantly in my throat that's causing irritation. I do have allergies and asthma so i wonder if this is something that could help

I tried that,and nothing.I bought the strongest thing in Morocco, something like peppermint in a crystal and put just one grain in boiled water. Tears come, but nothing. Everything is hard and blocked, nose dry, but frequent sinus headaches. However, nothing can come out. and I can barely smell the scents.It's only during the winter that it's runny and I can blow my nose, but that's when it's worst, weakness and pain in the body.I don't know how to cure 😏

Someone please help I have hard phlegm stuck in the top of my throat I feel it every time I swallow and it drives me insane. I can’t cough it up I have tried and tried but it doesn’t want to budge.
I’ve been sick multiple times trying to bring it up but no luck, honestly I’m exhausted and just want this lump in my throat to go away. I know the phlegm is there but is impossible to bring up as it’s very stubborn. Please can someone help as I’m in a lot of pain from trying to cough up phlegm for a hour and honestly this constant feeling in my throat is driving me insane to the point I can’t sleep.

@@AbrahamThePharmacist I just used it as it is very windy and dry and the build up of mucus and phlegm for me is almost unbearable then. One tip...I add Xylitol, a pinch of baking soda to buffer the solution so it doesn´t sting and one drop of Oregano Oil to kill any biofilm. It works perfectly. In the absence of Oregano Oil, a drop or two of mild, non chemical liquid soap or shampoo will dislodge stuck stuff and rid you of the biofilm too. I love my Sinus Rinse device so much more than conventional Neti Pots. Thank you again for it! Sending good vibes to you as well.

Whenever i get up at morning everytime i see a white layer of something on my tongue, also there is alot of feelings like mucus or something is stuck in throat and behind nose, but when i come back after breakfast or eat something it gets better, after sometime it gets back to the worse condition, i have visited many ent specialists they just gave me medicines like Omeprazole and nasal sprays but nothing works, its been almost 5 months since it started,
