Peace domain is pretty strong, 2nd level Balm of peace plays into the healing thing too if the table can cope with the POWER! Nature domain for shillelagh and thorn whip could be cute and a little more wood elfy. Or druid for faerie fire, combines nice with elven accuracy. you're so right about the ki cost vs subclass abilities. binging all your vids. chur!
I’ve enjoyed all of your videos so far, watching them in order. Keep up the good work. The use of the unarmed fighting style is a good choice for this monk since their features rely solely on unarmed strikes. But players should be aware that although the fighting style bumps their unarmed strikes up to a d8, the hand of harm/healing is based on the martial arts die on the monk table so it is still a d4 progressing up to d10, despite the feat.
@@landoflitsch all unarmed fighting is STR based. The fighting style only alters the damage. The monk can instead use DEX, which includes this fighting style.
Yeah that tracks. As a monk I don't think the 4 point possible swing is as important as getting your ability maxed for every hit, but I could see it for roleplay.
The article version of this review is now up on Flutes Loot! www.flutesloot.com/way-of-mercy-monk-subclass-review-dnd-5e/

Also the Unarmed Fighting Style is STR based so wouldn't work with a DEX based monk.

I'm running a Naga mercy monk 19 mercy monk/1 peace cleric. Not all the way there yet, but I think it's pretty neat. Very supporting.
Keep up the amazing content
What do you think of Twilight Cleric 2/ Mercy Monk for the rest?
I love the idea ;) ruclips.net/video/Dma1zwJixSk/видео.html
