I fractures are a terrible benchmark, when Vit D3 plays so many roles. I'm 62, about 5yrs ago, I had spent a lot of time in the Sun, and I was tanned. Went to my doctor in late September, and he told me my D3 was low, about 40/45. BTW, I am in the UK. I've been on prescription D3 and latterly without calcium, and I've noticed major benefits. My arthritic lower back and hips have improved. Took time, but it's much better. Also, less muscle pain, especially in my thighs. Also B12 has helped my foot cramps. Also taking NAC, and Taurine. I'm not trying to live for ever, I just want a fair innings.

Four to 45 is not low. It's not great but it's not low.

My point, my UK doctor, on UK standards, 40/45 was deemed low. My wife has also been put on D3 by her doctor. During Covid bioweapon, our Nazi regime was adamant that D3 wasn't a fact in coping with Covid.

Three years ago this week I was admitted to Northwestern Hospital in Chicago with suspected COVID. My D-Dimer and C-Reactive Protein numbers were off the chart. The attending in the E.R. entered my cubicle and humorously asked, "Why are you here?" He really meant, "Why aren't you in ICU with numbers like this?" (I didn't feel very bad.) I suggested that it might have been my D3 level. He looked at and said, "Sixty-two?
    Nobody's is this high."
It was: 62ng/ml. Apparently, he didn't know that it had been theorized that D3 could stave off the "cytoskine storm" that sent people to the I.C.U. and which could kill them.

Hi! There is a big study Randomized Controlled Trial
Effect of High-Dose Vitamin D Supplementation on Volumetric Bone Density and Bone Strength: A Randomized Clinical Trial
where they gave 400, 4000 and 10000 IU per day of vit D for 3 years and bone density was worse in the group that took 4000 and 10000 ui per day. It would be interesting to hear your opinion on this study.

Note: If one considers just who funds near any medial research in the US as well as many other countries, this is also true for the Media. Guess what?

Yes same thing with me. Found out that isolated D 3 exhausts magnesium and vit a stores. Better to take d in whole food so it has all the cofactors in its appropriate proportions

this is not saying anything but derogatory messages about a vitamin that we all need. We also need other vitamins but drs don’t tell us that bc them and pharmaceuticals will not have victims to practice their sorry band aides on us as lab rats. I’ll do my own damage thank you. I know Vitamin D has helped my sorry immunity

Vitamin D3 is not useless. My 86 year old mom and I lived in a super cold climate and didn’t get much sun. We started taking D3 with K2 and got our labs checked multiple times and each time our labs came back at 125. All of my friends who were way younger had D3 levels of 15. One lady started supplementing with the brand that my mom and I took and her D3 level went up to 60. It depends on the quality of your D3 supplement.

Vitamin D is super useful. Period. It may not be amazing for bone health but many other bodily functions.

I have heard recently that calcified plaque in many cases can or is one of the causes of high blood pressure, I can see where this could very well be true. Any thoughts on this?

I have seen many supplement brands selling an all in one bone health products and question them. What individual supplements do support bone health, especially for the elderly? From what I remember Calcium alone will not work as some know - but bones are made up from many other minerals also. # comments I made so - 👍👍👍
