I'll try to be constructive rather than compare with redbull. The highlights needs coments. Its hard to follow what happened just by watching the reply. Better to show less full runs and give a wider perspective of the race. What happened to top dogs? We want to know about Jackson, about Greg,about BK even if they diddnt perform well, and why theu didnt perform well. Just playing the podium runs reply wont cut it and you guys will lose audience.
Have to strongly disagree with your point about showing “less full runs.” Dude, it’s not a movie segment, it’s a race. Full runs (especially those hidden behind a pay wall) are kind of the most import part…
I’m going to hazard a guess this may have been intentional and in response to the negative feedback about the commentating, “How about none at all?” - UCI Aim to make people appreciate the commentators efforts.
@@Captain.Dingus yes, and if I want to see the full runs, I go the riders channels. But to get to know what happenedo the race, I watch the highlights, and this ones don't t tell a story. If I didn't know the results prior, i wouldn't have understood what was happening with Dakota's run. I just think that some kind of highlights/analysis like Ben cathro does for pinbike is waaaay more entertaining and Informative.
@@ryanstarrett having Gwin commenting (at least qualifying runs, I didn't see the finals) was a good choice thou. A little step on the right direction. But on the highlights I don't spect the live commentaries, but kind of an analysis of what happened, kind of what Ben Cathro does, giving a wider view of what happened on the race, telling me who crashed, who had a puncture, or how the weather affected riders. That short of things
Probably one if the most memorable races of recent, so exciting to watch!! Please UCI bring your coverage up to match it and also consult the riders more or at min all team managers 🎉👊
Ok, so here's my theory: A super quick raw edit of the highlights was made. Over which commentary was recorded and a final "pass" of editing was done; you know, like cutting the shots where they are supposed to end, and where the drones go bonkers and stuff like that. Then the person in charge of uploading just... selected the first one by accident. It's that, or UCI really no longer gives a single flying rat dropping about this content.
This feels like a "fine, you all keep complaining about the commentary and drone footage, screw you, here's something completely devoid of both" sort of video. I get it, some of the complaints and criticisms are stupid and not realistic... but this isn't the way to win people over... I'm pretty sure prople don't mind Rick providing some info over the top ..
Appreciate the change to cut it a bit down from just showing full runs, but we need a narrator to tell the story of the race and answer all those questions that viewers have. Just have Rick talk over this video painting the full picture and you‘re DONE! Thanks!

I'd rather have no commentary vs lame commentary. At least you can throw some good music over the video and still hear the spectators and the bikes working.
Fynn falls foul of non sense green poles. Why mark the track so tight on the outside?? A DNQ for going off the track but not cutting the track is contrived to say the least.
why do you think that? it wasn't because of track conditions dude just made a mistake. DH is an inherently risky sport but he got up by his own strength.

I absolutely agree with OP. These highlights need commentary and be shorter, it is not much of a highlight reel if it is 15+ minutes long.

Totally agree .7 . We need more World Cup races in the US. Why does France get 3 and we get 1 in the most hard to get to spot. USA invented the sport!
