Having ran the cat hidrive dozers I really like the looks of this new lieberer dozer,as someone said service ,support would be a big thing assuming thier design proves sound ,every machine ever made will breakdown ,parts and service are very important!I worked for a mining company that had kamatsu loaders ,honestly they were every bit as good as our cat loaders but parts were about double in price ,this I know I worked as one of the main mechanics! As to service it was just about non existent ,whereas caterpillar service I would rate Aplus that's important when you have to depend on a certain machine to get the job done
I have an old 732, back up is pretty good, they are simple, an engine, pumps and drive motors with electrics. this technology has been around for decades so your not inventing the wheel. its like a bobcat on steroids to operate.
Got a friend operating one in a mine up here in QLD, Aus, its got its fair share of problems don't worry about that. Not in top spot for reliability thats for sure.
I operated a D8 Caterpillar in my younger days. It would look like a Tonka toy compared to this monster. I would love to set in the operators seat of this bulldozer for a week or so. Amazing machine!
This video show us very beautiful machine. With some of touch its will it make us intersting and enjoyed this video. Thank you sir for post this video. I love it so much.
Pretty sure Komatsu has the largest hydrostatic dozers. 375 comparable to a D10, hydrostatic. 475, comparable to a D11’s, hydrostatic. D575A largest in the world, hydrostatic.

Hello everyone I have been watching this machine for quite some time now on you tube.It is very nice....well design and built. I love the 766 type 50-60 tons dozer.Thats very impressive. This machine should have the heavy protective steel canopy just above the cab. . ""PLATFORM GUARD RAILS AND EVEN HYDRAULIC SAFETY STEPS IS NICE BUT REMEMBER ""SAFETY FIRST...!!"" I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ALREADY HAVE SUCH MACHINES OUT WITH THE STEEL CANOPY OVER THE CAB OUT OF THE PRODUCTION LINE.... BUT IF THEY DON'T THEY SHOULD PUT THEM ON.........VERY FUTURE MACHINE......
They do look a bit loose and unfortunate because they mostly went for shots of it pushing and made what was a slightly incoherent video, you don't really get a good look at the dozer reversing up. If you did you'd see that the tracks are OK in reverse (not too tight) and that they go a bit slack as the dozer picks up load when going forward. This is because the front idler has movement forwards and backwards and as the rear planetary gear pulls the track around the two idlers under load, it has the effect of pulling the front idler in, causing the track to look a bit slack. If you'd seen it track forward with the blade empty, you'd have seen that the tracks don't look so loose.
20 percent better then the already well established Caterpillar D10T2 & Komatsu D375A?When it comes to the elevated drive sprocket undercarriage Caterpillar did not follow anyones elses tracks because they created their own.
But really, CAT was not the first to build machines with elevated sprockets. And its a 30 year old story. I mean, turbo chargers and power shift were also introduced by CAT and are essential to modern tractor design. Everyone does it now. Time moves on
The vast majority of Liebherr's equipment portfolio is in house developed. Most of Caterpillar's are from acquiring other manufacturers designs. Their mining range of excavators are 0&K designed and the original design for the 3 series excavators came from Mitsubishi.
The elevated drive sprocket is garbage. They did that because it probably made engineering the driveline cheaper. The chain only wraps less than 1/4 around the drive sprocket, making it wear alot faster and making it need replacement quicker. With the drive sprocket on the bottom like the old dozers had, the chain wraps 1/2 way around the sprocket. That gives you more life out of the sprocket because you can tighten up the chain and due to it contacting 50 percent of the sprocket, you can still use it once the sprocket wears. You can't do that with the raised sprocket. The chain'll just slip. Junk. Don't fix it or redesign it if it ain't broke. The only thing it did was make replacing the drive sprocket easier. I wouldn't buy a newer dozer.
generationll We have Europe’s first 776 running in the north of Sweden. The customer did a field test against the Komatsu and the result was devastating. Much less fuel consumption and +30% productivity.

The Komatsu is far bigger, but this Liebherr has a ratio work capacity/fuel use that can't be beaten as far as I know.

It is the largest hydrostatically driven dozer you can buy. Cat and Komatsu are direct drive for their largest dozers.
