@@AwesomeEarthmovers It is a lovely machine. Is it a good thing to load the bucket so full so quickly? John Bridge So you’d have to buy a 657 scraper and pay an operator as well as have the dozer there to rip the material and push the scraper? Sounds very efficient to me 😂
@@AwesomeEarthmovers Spoken just like a dealer, rather than s contractor! Anyone with a D11, is not likely to ONLY have a D11, so I was simply advising that using a dozer pushing this distance, is not profitable, unless it's the only machine you have.
John Bridge I can tell you for a fact this site with its terrain would not suit a scraper. It’s also in the U.K where I’m pretty sure there’s not one 657 scraper to match the D11. The dozer is on a long term contract to a quarry to rip and push a set amount of gravel towards a screening system. The D11 and one operator can satisfy the quarries needs by working 6 hour days. They don’t need a scraper, it would be pointless having double the operators and machines.
Construction Machines Channel Believe it or not that gravel has been tested and found to be as hard as concrete. There’s a shot in the drone video I posted a couple of days ago where you can see the ripper struggle a little to get into it and it puts up a cloud of smoke from the friction.

True power of heavy machinery
The reason why they don't make a bigger Dozer is efficiency the cost of moving a dozer from place to place big money not worth the price
There is a 2011 for sale in Kentucky for just under $800,000.000 (USD) with only 15,000 hrs on it.
