This is one of the best presentations I've ever seen for a pressure washer. Thank you for your time in presenting this. I received a Simpson yesterday, and looking forward to start using it!
Thank you. Just be aware the main issue with this machine is the walking issue. It moves significantly around. My previous machine didn't do that. Other than that I bought it at the right price.
Great detail review.. one quick question.. is it possible to lower the psi so I can be able to wash my car.. I want to buy a pressure washer that I can use it on many projects around the house.. like patio concrete, pavers, stucco sidewalks, mold on the shed.. if you know any type of info please let me know.. thank you so much!!!!
The pump is set at one pressure but depending on the tip you put on the wand determines the pressure coming out of the tip. It's called the venturi effect. The more restrictive the opening the greater the pressure. So if you want less pressure put on a tip with a larger opening. They are marked in degrees. They have a tip labeled soap that is very low pressure.
I bought this power washer and followed the set-up instructions exactly. The water pressure was no greater than my garden hose with a sprayer attached. I figured I was doing something wrong so I found this video, as well as two others which described in detail how to set the machine up properly. I followed your instructions exactly and the machine is still putting out minimal water pressure. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or did I simply buy a lemon which I need to return?
Check the flow rate coming off your hose. Take a 5 gallon bucket and time how long it takes to fill. It should take less than a minute. If you only fill half in 1 minute then you have a problem with your water supply. What tip are you using? If you are using the black tip for soap then it comes out slow. Try using the yellow 15 degree tip. Make sure the hose isn't kinked. If none of these things work then you may have a bad pump in which case bring it back to the store.
I use 5/8 which is adequate. Of course the larger the hose the less resistance. To see if your hose is compatible you can take a 5 gallon bucket and without hooking it up to the powerwasher, fill it with water to see how long it takes. The powerwasher uses 2.5 gallons of water per minute. My fill rate is well under 1 minute for a 5 gallon bucket.
update in a year see if the pump still works that's the weak points on these. And also lets see someone check actual pressure they always say they have far more pressure then they really have.
I've had it for a year and no issues other than the walking issue. Just burned the hose on the muffler housing. Had to buy a new hose. If you want me to check the actual pressure you can send me the $30 to cover the cost for the guage that attaches to the wand and I'll do a video on the pressure. I wouldn't recommend this washer because of the walking issue.
I've seen a couple mounted this way. Sometimes manufacturers change it depending on what retailers they are selling it to. I bought this at Sam's Club. I would stay away from purchasing it because of the walking issue. I've had this machine turn 2 complete rotations when I use it. Very annoying.

The problem is finding a gas station that sells ethanol free gas. We are lucky we have one. There is a website that has a listing of ethanol free gas stations but there still isn't that many. Honda = Good Engine. I had a Briggs & Stratton pressure washer that lasted for a few years, I don't remember why it died. I replaced it with an electric Snap-on, and I don't think that thing lasted 10 hours, and it turned out to be a known problem with the specific machine. The warranty was useless, because I didn't use it much, and by the time it died a year later it was out of warranty. It did however save space, and required no gas or oil change maintenance. Those electric ones however don't deliver nearly the volume of water that a gas powered unit can supply. If you want to clean your driveway with an electric unit, it will take forever. I had a friend with an electric washer from Sears, and he never had a problem with it over the years, so what happened to me was probably just bad luck. I think those gas powered units are a good value, but only if you use them several times a year for decent sized projects. Good luck with your new Honda, it's a great way to clean concrete and brick.
The problem with small engines today is from ethanol gas. When you leave the gas in the system it eats the seals around the carburetor which introduces more air which causes the machine not to start. I only buy ethanol free gas which in some places are hard to get. Lucky for me we have a gas station in our city that sells it. It is more expensive than regular gas but only 60 cents per gallon more. In Walmart they cell one gallon containers of ethanol free gas for $20 per gallon. As far as electric units go I wouldn't consider them because they lack the power like you said. Snap-On is almost giving away their electric power washers which tells you something about a company that usually is top dollar. This Simpson unit was on sale at Sams Club. Saved $70 off the regular price.

Question # 2 where and how much you bought it.
Question # 3 where do I buy that variable nozzle.
Tks for the great video
You can leave the soap in. Make sure you use soap that is for power washers. I bought it in Sam's Club. It was on sale. I forget the exact price either $260 or $270 but it was $70 off the regular price. I bought the nozzle off of Amazon. Thanks for watching.
@@mcy2phil thank you sir for replying, you definitely got a great machine with a great price, I am getting closer to make my mind and your video helped me a lot. Tks again
@@mansourramzey7711 You are welcome. Don't buy in a rush. If you can wait for a good sale it is worth it.
What model number is that, I can’t find a 3200 Simpson with a tall handle and a tank for cleaner
Model: MS60920. You have to remember that manufacturers sometimes will manufacture for a specific retailer. I bought this at Sams Club but they no longer have this model.
WHAT CORROSION? IT"S MADE OF BRASS.
Brass corrodes. Most brass products have a lacquer coating to prevent it from losing its zinc. Water on brass and being exposed to air causes corrosion. If you don't believe me do a web search on brass corrosion.
Variable pressure?
No it isn't.
Super helpful!
Glad I could help.
WHAT??? No white Lithium grease for the adjustable tip???!!!! It's gonna CORRODE!!!! (Just teasing) Good information!
On top of using grease you should never store a powerwasher with the nozzles attached to the wand.
Remember me? I used to comment on all the ''techie stuff". How is that samsung galaxy watch holding up? Also, are you going to neuvo progresso for the tourist day in march? Would like to see some more Mexico trips in the near future.
Watch is doing good. Nuevo Progeso had some problems recently and not worth the risk right now. If things get better then maybe I will go but not with my wife or son.
@@mcy2phil I purchase watch too based on your recommendation, so that is reassuring to hear. Samsung is quickly becoming a favorite brand of mine. I thought Nuevo Progresso was safe. Well if things improve I'd hope you would visit. It would be kind of you to share many stories from the border.
Can you wash a cars with this??
It is never recommended to use on vehicles. You can damage the paint. The only thing I powerwash on my car is the wheels.
Lot's of people wash cars with them. But once you get over 3000 PSI you MUST pick the correct nozzle. If you use the wrong size you WILL rip the paint off your car. I'd recommend staying about 25 degrees.
Here is a listing at Home Depot: www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-MegaShot-MSH3125-S-3200-PSI-at-2-5-GPM-HONDA-GC190-Cold-Water-Pressure-Washer-60551/203177499?MERCH=REC-_-rv_nav_plp_rr-_-NA-_-203177499-_-N
Search Car Wash in the questions and lots of people talking about it.
how much is cost
I bought it on sale at Sam's Club for either $260 or $270. They had it $70 less than the regular price.
Corrosion.... probably not....mineral build up almost certain.
Minerals in water cause corrosion. Look it up.
Philip Gaynor I'd be willing to be what your experiencing is scaling due to the minerals in your water. Whatever you say
@@jeremyfink537 The part that is corroding is made out of brass. When brass is exposed to water and then air it oxidizes which causes corrosion. We also have a lot of minerals in the water too but when I look at the part it is pitted from corrosion. Scaling would be a build up of calcium. We can agree to disagree.
I find this video very uninformative, No model number, no gallons per minute, no price.
Maybe you should watch the video. It's on the box plus I always tell people in my videos I don't discuss price because the there is an argument online who gets the best price. Thanks for watching.
Don't you have anything to say? Right in the beginning of the video I show the box and it gives the model number and gallons per minute.
