This is a lot better than people give it credit for. It was a 'limit pusher' even on the Mega Drive so of course an 8-bit port is going to have some cutbacks. I think the SMS version is a great port.
its a Brazilian exclusive on the master system but is practically the same as the game gear version but with more screen to see a little like the 8 bit sonic games
@@papermariottydfan1 Ah, I see. I did wonder where it came from as the year says 1995 on the title screen! I think by then the games over here in the UK had all but dried up. Thanks for the info!
@@papermariottydfan1 one thing about ms-to-gamegear conversions is that the colors are a bit different. usually, gamegear games are a bit brighter and vibrant because they have a higher color palette in general.
Dynamite Headdy was my favourite Genesis game, I own the Japanese and American Version, but was kinda lacking when it came to Game Gear and Master System, still good though.
diffrences about genesis and master system: genesis version: you can't destroy pauls, the cannon soldier's mouth is small, north town and south town is splitted, the keymaster heads are different better than the mega drive version, fire carnival goes 3d and back to 2d then repeat, wooden dresser can change outfits instead of wearing the same, you could just jump on the platforms in puppet tower, there are 9 worlds, no flying cows, world 8 is normal, no enemy parades, it's hard as hek, seeing the cast in the credits. master system version: you can fuck pauls, the cannon soldier's mouth is big as his mom, north town and south town is mixed, the keymaster heads are maruyamas, going underground is still 2d, wooden dresser still wears the same outfit, go hangman crazy in stepping up, there are usally 6 worlds, WHY THE CLUCK ARE THERE FLYING COWS, world 5 is just an enemy parade, it's ez, no curtain call?
game overs: genesis: you can continue the game, except you have 3 chances, if you got no chances to beat the game, you're screwed master system: oh uh you can't continue the game too bad so sad
Has it been programmed by the guys at treasure or its been subcontracted? Feels very bland compared to genesis version... Master system is capable of pushing more than that...
@@pferreira1983 Seems to be listed as a company. Apparently they made Sonic Labyrinth, and that has different staff members listed so it must be a company.

Wow, I had no idea this came out on the Master System! I have great memories of that console. Keep wishing they'd release a Sega Master System mini!

@@DonnyKirkMusic yeah I know of that it. as ive seen it before on the games I have on the master system compared to the game gear equivalents

Yeah
And the European Version?

This is certainly a surprise to see! Like many other folks, I only ever saw the Mega Drive version.
The first boss fight looks insanely easy without the projectiles
This game really shows off the graphical prowess of the SMS.
Not really. It is great compared to a what a US gold Amiga version might have been like.
a happy Easter to everyone !! happy easter my father !!
Music aside with all these colours on screen this could nearly pass for a 16-Bit title
Looks great for a MS game! Impressive
Nice seeing you do some SMS stuff lately. Very nice!
This isn't as bad as I was led to believe.
This is amazing looking.
1:51 Boi the sun didn’t do anything....???
Boggles the mind that PAL didn't get this. I mean...it's in English!
