Honestly I like the new fuffing around format, it feels more natural
Yay or nay ?
The video ? Yes. The weapon? Horseshoe for dagath.
Very yay!
Yay, but maybe add the stats/acquisition method as a separate edited bit similar to the encyclopedia series before the fun build stuff
yay
you just did the jat kittac and arca titron and the arca seems to be just a better version of this, i´ll keep using it in the conventional way and think of it as some mediocre melee cause it just isn´t for me. great video, great format tho ^^
Love the newer format. More like a conversation rather than a presentation.
The duration of the impale scales with combo counter. So at 12x, if you heavy attack, they remain impaled for much longer than baseline
And if you use Tennokai (i like opportunities reach and disciplines merit) you can impale with heavy slams at 12x for free, is nice
So it can be a good utility build, first go for combo mods, build it for slam radius and the puncture so it'll make crit better, and it's set.
Yes! It's like a mini lesson in mechanics in the "but why" series. But I get frustrated with sweaty creators that take this stuff so seriously and don't show the frustrations or happy accidents that come from testing. Your content stands out because of that ❤
I like this new format, but I think you need to add a little bit of the old one in as well. A bit of information about what you're covering, the look at the stats and mats for crafting, what the incarnon evos are, but as you go through the video. For fans who follow you, this format is great, for new players that are looking for information about things, less so- but I think you can strike a balance to make these the best versions of your videos.
While I absolutely agree with you and think you made excellent points, I think it's also worth remembering that some of these weapons, like the new weapons that came with dante, are locked behind some of the end game quests. So by the time you CAN build them, the stat distribution and crafting resources aren't quite as important as the 'why you should use it' aspect
This is probably one of the most enjoyable weapon showcases I’ve seen
Seeing you try different builds, work around the issues, and even change out the evolutions helped me understand the weapon a *lot* better. It didn’t feel boring nor did it feel confusing, and I actually understood the choices you made unlike with a lot of builds out there!
100% a yay from me ::p
Finally someone covers the ruvox
That's what I'm saying.
I managed to get mine and fully kit it out before the first video on it came out lol (Grind Hard Squad got the first video)
yeah, you basically have to make videos everyday. Doesnt matter the content
absolutely in love with the newer style. it feels very organic and it does kinda help to see the thought process when making (weird) builds since they most defenitely deviate from the normal stuff. I'd also really love to see your thought process when making full (more or less weird) loadouts for different frames and weapons :)
I absolutely love this thing. It’s a slam attacking monster with those impaling spikes, not to mention the mutation that rewards you with extra combo for hitting enemies with slam attacks.
I really like the format because of the way you reason through things.
The format feels nice, you get to see the tinkering and get a better feel for how the build comes together and it's cool seeing your process.
New format 100%. You sound like you're having a lot of fun with the trial and error and as a viewer that is refreshing to see. It's also nice that people watching can interact with suggestions and what not based off things you may have missed or did not know.
As always was really fun watching this video and now I have a new way to look at these fun looking knuckles.
Love the new format with the new stuff, it feels so natural and organic discovering all the features and details alongside with you Mr.RUclips. It is more enjoyable watching you having such a blast testing things, please continue!
I like the very improve comedy of the videos and that there was a small little serious summary at the end, also Ive been planning to play with the ruvox myself, its been a pain to build though, thank you for showing me what is possible!
I like how Ruvox is Dante melee... like they intentionally make a wizard like character with a hand to hand melee, as a reference to Mashle
I like the exploration and experimentations of these videos, but I think it would be nice to have a section at the end where you present your final build and conclusions.
I love the new format. Seeing every step of the way towards the final build helps people realize why you went with one mod instead of another and teaches the right mentality to have while making a build.
However, there is something missing from this and the Arca Titron videos: a proper end of video build showcase, something that someone trying to replicate the build and playstyle can jump to/replay over and over to truly learn the specific showcased build.
I really enjoy this format! I think the only change I would ask is if you could add a section before your final commentary reviewing the build in its entirety and recapping how it works. It just helps things solidify in my brain because your videos are where I go when I try and understand *why* buillds work rather than just copying builds
I'm a huge fan of the new format. It's fun watching you tinker with different ideas and make the thing you like work.
Love the format! Would love a section at the end that has a clear view of the mods you used.
Absolutely the new format. You sound like you are having way more fun, and that comes across to the viewer, it's really important
One of my favourite things about this style is you can see where and when and why you put on forma. It's really easy to look at a 3-4 forma build and go "great, another forma sink".
But with this style of video I can actually see the difference investing a forma or two vs not. Seeing a pre forma build as part of the process really shows you:
A) why each forma used is needed and;
B) what damage you can kind of expect for each forma used
Love this style, and as long as you do as well, you should keep it up
Love this format I'd say a recap at the end is needed as well
Your new style of videos is really great, since during the process of experimentation you explain your ideas and mod choices very well. I reckon that it needs a quick segment at the beginning that covers all of the usual stuff (basic stats, method of aquisition, required crafting materials, incarnon evos/special abilities et cetera), and maybe more extended summary at the end that recaps and explains the build and maybe gives some insight into strengths and weaknesses of the reviewed weapon, so that players who want to pick it up know what they can work with and what do they need to work around.
I also agree with you - we need more unconventional weapons. Knowing that DE doesn't release as many of them as they used to trading off weapon quantity for quality, unique mechanics and builds.
I looove this format, it really shows why things ended up the way they do, and it's just fun
Its really fun to watch you testing stuff, now we need you to do some testing builds on the Onos
Absolutely Amazing video, also thanks for the sensible and thoughtfull guide, instead of trying to brute force the basic set Up
i like the new sort of video format where you are figuring out the weapon it very much feels more natural than other build videos where the dude already has 5 forma arcane and exilus adapters on the weapon.
I like the new style but I would also like if you briefly recapped the final build and how it works at the end of
the video
Normal slam won't trigger Tennokai, but you can light attack proc Tennokai then heavy slam without loosing combo, but I guess the build up here is so fast then there is no reason to.
I just love listening to you having fun in this game nowadays
Nice new format! Maybe a tiny bit more of "initial description". I'm sure you read the gimmick and the perks once when choosing how to use it (which perk, build for slam) so seeing that too would be good info on the weapon.
Video format is good and works, it's a solid showcase of how to actually come up with your own builds and we need more of that in this community.
The weapon itself, I feel... weird about, because we already had honestly pretty good Fist Incarnons with Furax Wraith. Before these came out there was a lot of mixed messaging on if it would be Fists or Sparring, and we don't have a Sparring one so I'm surprised we didn't go with that... And to be clear, Furax Wraith fucks if you build it right. You can make it for light attacks with the impact-bleed perk, or now you can do what I did the other night and make it for slams, and I was straight up beating a Gyre, a Protea and a Dante in KPM over the course of 40 minutes by building super aggressively around them having 90% Heavy Efficiency for slams specifically.
So like... making another slam-based pair of fists just feels odd to me because there's kinda no good option; either they're worse than what we have already, or they invalidate an Incarnon Genesis and that's even stranger. I guess you could do something interesting with these, where you build for a mix of light and heavy using Tennokai, and do a 12x slam when it procs for maximum duration on the spikes? That could be interesting, at least. I dunno.
This is honestly the best format!
Ok, the new format? Love it. Keep it up uncle MC.
Mine should be done building by tonight. I'll have to try out your build.
I too tend to faff around and find out, so seeing the whole process is more enjoyable and educational from that perspective.
Fun fact I learned in the circuit the hard way,
Incarnon weapons you don't have cant transform.
I think it depends, when I looking for a more information based details focused coverage of stuff I prefer your older style of stuff, but just seeing what someone can do with it I do enjoy the more casual style. Especially if it's older stuff or things that are being revisited.
That being said, I feel the 2 ways of covering weapons and such can coexist and possibly even should coexist if you have the inclination to do so.
Kullervo and the new augment could help keep up combo counter. The falling blades give combo and his one gets you to the next group quicker. Might try this.
okay, nice to know this is a wierd weapon, i got the arm cannon before this, heck i got dante before this thing. looking forward to getting it, seems fun. i do really like the faffing around format, feels fresh. :)
The newer style feels like 'fucking around and finding out' in all the best ways, especially when the 'finding out' sounds like hysterics in incredulity 😅
I'm going to have to pick it up myself soon, but I think it's got some REALLY interesting potential as a status spreader/support weapon
impale enemies for the status vulnerability, run the melee arcane that makes the weapon's status contagious on elec proc, build for viral elec, and max out slam damage
just some ideas I'm gonna try out, it looks like a lot of fun, especially FOR MY DANTE, who only really uses slam attacks to quickly deal with enemies that take no damage from abilities, like arbi drones
Ruvox is great! I used a Tennokai build due to the heavy slams also being able to be activated by opportunity attacks to buff them and conserve the combo. Also, the heavy attacks themselves would obliterate anything, including one shotting steel path acolytes. I like this weapon's focus on slam attacks which makes me think they implemented that buff to melee slams in this update purely because of this thing.
For incarnons specifically I'd like to see at the beginning which evolutions are avaliable, not only the ones you chose. Otherwise very good video format, it's very fun
I like it tbh, but then again id watch all the things you put out lol
I love Rovux cuz the incarnon form looks sick and I just like how it feels to slowly wind up a punch for 20,000,000 dmg with kullervo
I put this on Voruna... I very much recommend it. I've never used 0 speed on a melee in a long time, but with Rauta and the heavy attack efficiency from Voruna you can essentially become a repeating meteor of spikes... it's so much fun
Interesting, I used a crit slam build and would nuke anything and a small radius around me with constant 12× combo from melee crescendo. Nice to see diffrent slam builds work
i suggest to start using tennokai with it, opportunistic reach allows FAR more heavy slams which proc the impales. i also like to run melee exposure so i can have both corrosive and viral. your content is good both ways, keep it up.
Only nay about this weapon is the -attack speed when in incarnon form. turns a pretty good feeling fist weapon into a chore to use, especially against high armor enemies (and netracell nerds but they're just built different)
It’s weird but a good way and still finding a good build and might use this
I like this format. I assume you'll be making a similar video on that secondary weapon too, yeah?
At 3:44 when he finally puts a decent build on.
It's a nice fun weird melee, definitely worth get
Oh i would love more weapons with weird incarnon mods that you have to build around for some wicked fun.
Modding onos has also been a fever spell.
What i did with Ruvox in the testing grounds, i used Valkyr+augment on her 3 and mele crescendo (don't know if i spell ir right) on the Ruvox with gas elemental damage. I just get them close to me, build the combo and activate de incarnon, when they are piled up and stick around (all puns intended) the gas just finish them off. Another thing about the impalement leave enemies open for finishers (finishers ignores armor if anyone doesn't know) and still procs gas damage and does a lot
I still need to do more testing
Of course this weapon is disliked, but is more likely due to not able to do 2 billon on crits or status in the first hit since this is a build up mele, not something straight foward
Could you by any chance try out the furax incarnon? im curious if this slam change affects the furax incarnon mode. (I dont have it yet otherwise id try it myself)
if you can get your hands on the prisma ohma you should try it with melee influence ive been having a lot of fun with it
I enjoy the stream of consciousness format 👍
Can you try out the Vitrica? With the slam changes i can see it being much better with its glass gimmick
sadly its mechanic still doesnt benefit from every mod, same with the tenet exec
@MCGamerCZ can you pls do a vid on how to do the second chappenge im actually puzzled
come on and slam and welcome to the jam.
i do wonder if tennokai does or doesnt work, dont got the weapon to directly test atm, but diciplines merit is always a good check to see if certain actions do or dont. infact its how i found out that thrown weapons trigger tennokai, but its basicly 1 attack per throw since i think the trigger for tennokai is per melee attack and despite it bouncing is still only 1 attack.
I wonder if makeing a convetional build and then useing tennokai for heavy slam attacks might be intresting.
You do understand you can build combo with normal attacks and tennokai a heavy slam, right?
Onos build when? (I dont need a build i just want to see arm cannon)
Its amazing that he managed to put a Tennokai mod and failed to capitalize on it.
one thing about this is that, the status vulnerability add flat 35% status chance on every hit on the impaled enemies.
this include every pallets of shotguns...
should try combo this with full spool Kuva Kohm that split out nearly 40 pallets per second with Galvanized Hell. since at full spool, its status chance is reduced to 7.5% per pallets. With Ruvox slam, that is increased to 42.5% per pallets so, idk, approximately 4.5 times more status proc?
Nice, totally doing this with it
Now we just need a skin that replaces it with a pogo stick. Somehow.
Wee need more weird good weapon, Jut the Blueprint of this puppy yesterday
do you even need to invest in heavy attack efficiency mods if you just go for Tennokai and a pure electricity mods? unless you literally only want to spam heavy slams, which works too lol
Im happy that I'm not the only one with a base melee duplicate lol
Just little criticism, when you review an incarno weapon pls show us all possible evolutions.
Yay. Actually helps with understanding how weapon building helps
why the puncture status for the last evo?
I'm building the parts for it now
I wish all incarnons were this interesting
I had a hard time buildding the parts because I kept writing "Roblox" on the foundry search bar
I'd still go for Sampotes for slams.
Use tennokai for the heavy slams they now work correctly
Definitely not meta but definitely viable for basically just about anything and everything.
huge fan of the newer format
I don't mind it it seems to do some dmg but it seems a bit more useful for cc than anything, but I can get passed evo challenge 2 am I meant to get kills with the incarnon activation or kills once it's activated I can't seem to make progress for it
What's your build on harold?
I did not see that you forgot to put in organ shatter and i'm glad that nobody saw that I forgot to put in pressure point. 😉
This weapon seems to force these mistakes.
I put killing blow and seismic slam on with my ruvox and disciplines merit with melee animosity and pure heat mods so now my heavy slams red crit and 1 shot, I dont think I've actually ran into that survives it and if they did they burned alive in 1 tick XD
I love these new weapons. They're mediocre at best unless you know just the right obscure build for them, and then they can do wild shit. Hint: for the Onos it's Cascadia Empowered.
Uhm, interesting. Mine is cooking right now, so...
This weapons are really interesting... kinda want to see the onos, its wweird too, and i should try tennokai on the corufell now, another weird weapon.
Hard yes on the format
Absolutely Yay
I would ask that you just add what the best load out was at the end so that you don't interrupt the flow of the video that you have going.
If I See One More *Melee Influence* Build... I'm Going to Slam My Face on some Nails. 😤
I play Yareli again.
new format superior dfeels more natural to you
hooray for weird weapons
Will someone please get him a maxed out melee influence?! I have an extra but I don't have him as a friend. Honestly just get the man the maxed out arcane 😂!
I say Yay!
