Where are you getting your information? While yes, dc voltage is more dangerous AC currents of below 3amps are more than enough to kill if the current goes through your heart. Electricity does everything it can to go to ground so step number 1 is to have an insulator on your feet.
Standing in ankle deep water destroys any insulation you have, allowing the current to go into your hand, through your body including lungs and heart, down your legs into the water to the ground. This will kill you damn near instantly not in minutes like you were saying. To anyone who does not know, the standard current of a house circuit is 15a and has 5-1000x what’s needed to kill you (the number varies depending on who you ask and what it hits)

It was a popular movie rental store before the Internet became fast and easy enough for everyone to have it. You went in, grabbed a physical movie storage medium off the shelf, borrowed it for the weekend and then returned it within a few days. This was also pre-DVD ascension, so all of those movies are VHS tapes. VHS used a reel of a sort of magnetic tape to store the movie data, and they could be overwritten and reused. The devices those guys are using are strong electro-magnets, which essentially re-writes all the nearby magnetic tape, essentially wiping out the movie data. The worst part is that no one will know until a customer rents the video and puts them in a home VCR to play...Nothing.

Saw this at 18yrs old in theatres when it was released. When I watched it the 2nd time I noticed Tyler flashing in scenes at beginning when he starts to lose his mind. Great book, great film

I'm always amazed that people catch the subliminal flashes of Tyler in the beginning scenes before we meet him. I somehow didn't see them, and even with the reference that Tyler likes "splicing porn into Disney films", I only realized the subliminal images after it was mentioned in the behind-the-scenes/commentary part.

I haven't had a land line phone since 2003. I haven't had TV since at least then. I ran out of heating oil 2 weeks ago. I can live without a lot of things most people consider essential.

1999...I was working & sharing a house with a complete stoner in Manchester, U.K...we had a day off our bar jobs together and after a very strong spliff went to the cinema and watched "The Sixth Sense"...I came out with my mind in pieces...we then had another spliff and decided that we`d go back into the cinema and watch another film...we watched "Fight Club"...
My brain has been like luke warm chicken soup ever since...

Maple, I know this movie would resonate with you. Maybe this is another version of Plato's Cave allegory, where consumerism is the dark cave we all live in and someone like Tyler (who has escaped) comes back to try and convince the rest of us to leave. We think he's crazy for wanting to give up all this fast food, fast fashion, the fast relationships/ wipe right instant gratification style of life that we live. Give it all up for something simpler. I definitely think that mindset resonates with you and "Fight Club crystalizes it. "The things that you own, start to own you". Nothing more true than that.

Third if you count Lou Ferrigno.

Maple I know you can't wait to go into your boss's office and pull off an Ed Norton-type exit pay compensation package. Where you blackmail your boss by beating you up for daydreaming at work. Then you'll be able to dedicate your time fully to the music concert circuit. Woooo Hoooo. Let me know how it goes.

If you look up the movie Choke its from 2009 and a dark comedy. Its another adaptation of the writers. Both have that sharp witty dark dialog. Although choke is much more of an indie film compared to this. Its still good.
