Very nice job! Definitely labor intensive to get it to the finished line! First prize on your efforts. Show room restoration!

My son and I just bought a 70 Midget and are having a blast fixing it up. I have had old VWs all my life so it's interesting to dive into the world of British engineering. Can you do another video on the driving experience of the 5 vs 4 speed? This is his daily driver so we're interested in the upgrade if it really makes that much of a difference.

Hello Paul, I have enjoyed your videos. Thanks for posting. Do you have any photos of the sensor installation on your header for the AFR gauge? I want to install a gauge on my 1275 Bugeye but there is not a lot of room! Thanks very much. Lin

That is one beautiful car. I have a Austin Healey sprite mk3 with a 1275cc engine. My tachometer isn't working. Do you have any tips to get it working?

Unfortunately I have no tips for that…Mine is still not working properly due to the 123 distributor I am running.

Remove the cable at the back of the tach. If the cable spins when engine is running, most likely the plastic part is stripped in the tach needs replacing. If the cable doesn't spin, the issue is at the transmission end. The old tachs are mechanical and the plastic parts are what get stripped out.
Another test is to remove cable at Trans, put in cordless drill and spin it, see if tach moves.
Use these steps to figure out what the problem is, then order the part to replace from Moss Motors

Did you make a video on how you install that transmission?
